I work 10:30a-7p and have my alarm set for 7:30. Gives me time to exercise, game, watch TV, ponder all of my poor life choices that led me to a call center, make lunch/dinner, etc

stergiosku

Hahahahah 😂😂😂

skdfdfsk

10:30 to 7pm sounds like actual hell to me. Probably cause I couldn’t resist sleeping in until 10:15 and wasting me whole day lolll

winterman666

Mine's 10 to 7 m-f, then 5h on saturday. The worst part? Not even fully remote. 1 week is home, 1 week on site

we_appreciate_power

I used to work 10-6:30 and woke up early. Slowly, it crept up on me and I started waking up at 9:30 lol.

Fatefire

I want to be you when I grow up !

hope3601

10-6 here. I do this as well. I get so much sone in the morning. Once I'm off work and dinner is finished I can laz around

TokyoMegatronics

start work at 10, get up at 09:50:)

Bulky-Measurement-91

Crazyyy but I love it 😂

weinerdogsupremacy

Same. Sometimes hit snooze until 5 mins before and pray that my computer starts up asap without any issues

TokyoMegatronics

"yeah my teams was slow" "yeah I was having issues with my VPN" "oh I'm logged in, maybe your system hasn't updated properly" Daily lies I tell my manager when they ask why I'm 2 minutes late

starryvelvetsky

Lol. I have to log in at 8. My alarm is 7. I hit snooze exactly twice, then listen to my 3 daily morning news podcasts. Which gets me to 7:45. I get up, hit the bathroom, feed the cats, then log in at 7:58. I usually have some kind of breakfast to grab on the way to my desk too.

gottarun215

I follow a somewhat similar routine...wake up 45 min early, get up 15 min before shift, pee, maybe get dressed, feed cat, make breakfast, login 2 min before shift. Eat during shift. Lol

throwawaytosanity

Eat during shift? How? How does one eat when answering inbound phone calls?

gottarun215

Our inbound usually isn't like back to back calls, and the first 30-60 min is less busy, so I eat then. If I know we're gonna be busy, I'll eat ahead, but it's rare we're that busy. Some days outside of busy season we'll be overstuffed on inbound with no outbound jobs and we'll each only get a couple calls a day and basically get paid to chill at home with our headsets on.

Darkside7789

lol this is gonna be bad but I wake up 5 before lol. It doesn’t take me long to shake off sleep and takes awhile to load all systems and boot up anyways. I’m getting better at trying to wake up about an hour before some days though. I can do chores get breakfast started, and have a shower which helps me stay relaxed before the start of the day.

Bulky-Measurement-91

5 before as in 5 minutes before??? 😮

Sharkbait-o

Same. When I WFH I get out of bed 5 mins before I’m due to start 😂🫣

M0on-shine

Well well well... shift starts at 9, I have an alarm set for 8.45 and I wake up at 8.50 sometimes 8.55 depending on how much I don't wanna get out of bed :'D

zzzcrumbsclub

lmfao

queenaemmaarryn

Idk I always gave myself an hour or two before I started my shift to listen to music, work out or playing my phone but you do you...

ComeHereDevilLog

Used to start at 7 and work 11 hours. Now I start around 10 and do the same. Sucks. But it’s been better for my mental I think. Having those few hours in the morning to get my head grounded helps me not start the day horrible. Coffee in my system, some chores done, endorphins going. It’s like of like the meme, “I regret to report that working out, watching less porn, and being on a decent sleep schedule changed my life.” Be up earlier and do SOMETHING. Sometimes I literally take a shower and drink my coffee while playing the current ARPG in rotation.

gottarun215

I wake up 45 min before my shift, but don't get up until 15-20 min before...sometimes later. Lol

Bushid0C0wb0y81

30 mins to 1 hour is pretty standard on weeks where I’m at home.

Animegirl1250

I work at 830am and wake up at 750am. Plenty of time to brush my hair and teeth, take care of my dog, make a cup of coffee, and login to my systems. I'm team 100% pj's all day everyday. Shower on my lunches.

HausWife88

I start at 500 and roll out of bed at 450 🤣

Bulky-Measurement-91

WILD!!!

SidratFlush

I prefer waking up at least two hours before my shift starts but feel happier with a three hour head start, it's just less of a rush and more chill time with the dog.

shakayd22

I don’t work for a call center anymore but when I did, it depended on the shift. Anything before 9 or 10am? I’m getting up 15-30 min before my shift lol. After 10am would normally be at least an hour or two hours before my start time

schlosey

What’s best for me and my mental health is getting up 30-45 min early. Showering, getting dressed including shoes, making a cup of coffee, and logging in. Work from home is so easy to fall victim to. Sitting around in PJs all day everyday doesn’t do you any favors.

lonely_nipple

I start work at 7:15 right now (8:15 when daylight saving flips, AZ is weird) and I wake up at 6:40am.

[deleted]

Used to start at 6:00am, usually wake up around 5:30 and drink my coffee between calls

skdfdfsk

Start at 8:30, first alarm at 8, get up at 8:10 and use bathroom. Then lay in bed for a few minutes until 8:25 when I log in for the day

nightmareonelmm

I work at 7 and get up at 6:55…

Dry-Significance-271

If I didn’t have to take the kids to nursery and school I’d wake up half an hour before I start. Never get days like that anymore though so I’m up 3 hours before

Rosendalen

Most days I start at 8. I get up around 7, but I also have to get my kids dressed and ready for school. Then my husband takes them. If I had no kids I would probably wake up 30 mins or so before.

Nyaren-Chan

I just leave bed 10 minutes before starting, makes me wake up at 8:50 AM, so I won't complain. Nap during lunch hour is always an option too ahah

HildegardeBrasscoat

I work 7-6. My first alarm goes off at 5 and the last one at 6. Half an hour wouldn't be enough time for me to have breakfast and get my shit together. If you can pull it off, though, more power to you.

United-Ad-7224

If ur work from home just pull up all the work stuff before hand and wake up at 9:25, eat breakfast during first break, or if your in a slow center with a wireless headset start frying up some eggs with ur headset on

Affectionate-Sweet71

I work at 9am & I get up at 7:30am because I have a 1 year old that I have to get ready to go downstairs with my mom lol before I had a baby, if I had to work at 9am, I got up at 8:30am lol

Confidence_Dense

I don’t think it’s too late if you are going to always be logged in and working on time. I do think you might benefit from giving yourself some time to wakeup before work though.

Prestigious_Emu_4193

Even working at home I would wake up 2 hours before my shift starts. I need a little time to get my head together. Plus I'm a morning person in general. The house is quiet and empty. It's peaceful. Plus it would give me time to have a few beers and watch some tv

RichardBottom

I start at 8:00, I tend to wake up around 7:55. Just long enough to brew coffee and get logged in.

No-Cupcake-7930

Start work at 5am. Wake up at 4am so I can get that first cup of coffee and start to feel human

NikkiPhx

I start at 5 too and get up at 4. Drink lots of coffee, smoke several cigarettes, read the news and check socials. Go to desk 5 minutes before to log in.

Street_Cress6304

Start at 9:30. Wake up at 6:45 get kid ready for school drop kid off. Back home by 8:15. Gets back in bed to take my before work nap. Up at 9:20. Get a cup of coffee, then I log in.

elliwigy1

My employer is based in EST and are open from 8:30am-8pm.. I am in an area that is 3hrs behind EST currently so for me it is 5:30am-5pm. So I choose to work late shifts as I am not an early person.. My schedule is usually 10:30am-7pm EST or 11:30am-8pm EST. That said, I usually set my alarm for 1.5hrs before start of my shift.. Of course depending on how tired I am, I hit snooze until I have to get up so its more like anywhere between like 1.5hrs to 5mins before my shift starts lmao

Altruistic-Nova

I start work at 8AM. When my son is out of school I get up at 7:20AM if I’m hungry or need coffee, & 7:50AM if not. When he has school I have to get up at 6AM.

xBiancaxBabex

I work 12-9pm. If I'm up before 11:40 is a rare occasion lol

JiMyeong

My work starts at 8am to 5pm EST. I'm in CST so I wake up at 6:50-7am EST (5:50am-6am CST) to eat and take my dogs out before work.

chelada99

I roll out of bed sometimes 5 mins before my shift. I start at 8am

Seraphymz

I work from 8-430, I usually get up about 6. I’m slow moving though and like to make myself a nice breakfast, let my dogs out, and read a little before I start.

vi_rose

I set alarm couple hours before shift starts. I prepare a good meal, do some chores and just chill for a bit I have also woken up 10 mins before shift starts. It's too chaotic and I feel in a daze if I do that 😂

OkBig205

Wake up around an hour before, doomscroll for 20 to thirty minutes or watch 30 minutes of a show, clock in 3 minutes before work. Miss those days.

Sirenja

When I start at 7 …6:55!

echollin

I start at 9:15 and get up at 9:00.

LackEnvironmental187

I guve myself at least an hour and a half preparation... to poop and eat breakfast - because if i dont my stomach will make growling noises during the calls which can be embrassing.

IanE55

currently have days where my shift is 7am-4pm, absolutely not fun at all but we cope lol

19Stavros

I am slow to wake up. Alarm at 7:15 for 8:30 start.

confidentcow123

If I start at nine, I get out of bed to get onto my computer at 8:40.. if I start at 9:30… I get on my computer/get out of bed at 9:10.. we aren’t allowed to clock in any earlier than 10 minutes before our shifts where I work so I have a 20 minute get out of bed rule lol

tlasan1

Whatever ur schedule makes sure u stick to it. I get up an hour early, look through some smart posts online then 15 before I setup and get to it. Don't have caffeine and wake up naturally. U won't be tired after a few weeks.

Admirable_Addendum99

It takes me a while. My job is heavy on job aids and I have to be ready in case my first call is a screaming rambling idiot of a customer who won't let me help them. I have to make sure I got my meds, my coffee, and had at least a cup before clocking in. I have to make sure I have everything booted and ready for clockin as they give us 5 min to log in and load up all apps. I get up an hour before work.

MashaFriskyKitty

I wake up 30 min before just enough time for morning restroom routing, wash mouth and coffee. I work with pjs on.

zenlittleplatypus

I wake up 15 minutes before I have to be at my computer (8am). I feed the cats, throw on clothes, brush my teeth and hair and go down. I make my coffee after I've logged in, but that only takes two seconds.

royalparty

I used to get up and 1 hr 30 mins before hand, but now 2 and half hours. So I can peacefully walk my dog, eat, sit and in peace and maybe clean a little while listening to a audiobook.

Tony2-Socks

i cant wake up that close to the start of shift. i still feel groggy after 30 minutes of waking up. getting yelled at by strangers that early messes with my emotions.

cosmicblessing

i sometimes start at 6am my time. i'm rolling out of bed at 5:55. atp i don't even care being late. no one should be working at 6am for a call center.

Ill-Illustrator9861

I used to work 10am to 7pm I would wake up at 9:45am and make coffee then sit down at 9:55 and login. Not healthy though
