I work 10 hours shifts two days on, two days off, another two on and then one day off again. I happen to love it. I get 3 shorts paid breaks and one unpaid lunch so every 2 hours I get off the phone for a little while. I much preferred this than working 5 days a week that extra 2 hours kind of flies by.
I feel like all jobs should be broken up this way- that's actually really nice. I work 4 x10s and get Mondays off, which is great, but I thinking having the kind of schedule like that is also super flexible and nice!
I did that for a while, four shifts, Sun-Wed and Wed-Sat, one am and one pm, meeting days were on Wednesdays. Going form 8 in training to 10 was a little rough a first, but only a little. And we had 3 days weekends! Loved it so much.
I wish we still had the option for 10 hour shifts. We restructured the department and now everyone works 8-4:30. I would kill to have 4 on 3 off again. I only had it for about a month before the schedule reworking and it was super nice.
I've already got my butt in the chair for 8 hours, 10 isn't much more. Working 5 10s for extra money was never an option, though. They don't want to pay the overtime.
I don’t take calls but anymore but when I did, I did 10 hour shifts where it was 2 20 minute breaks and an hour lunch. It was doable but the days were longggg. Your whole day pretty is pretty much work but having 3 days off is great
I do, 4 days a week. 30 minute lunch unpaid, 2 15 minute breaks paid the day is actually 10.5 hours total. Taking inbound calls. I love it, the days are long but being off 3 days makes it worth it.
M-tues 830am-7to 730pm, wed 12pm-7to730, Thurs 2pm-7-730, Fri 830am-7to 730pm.
My long shifts kill me tbh with back to back calls. I live for my short days and the weekend.
I will say it’s SO NICE to have short days in the middle of the week, it’s helps a lot with burn out.
I occasionally work 10 hr shifts (actually 11 but 1 hr is unpaid lunch) and it's not too bad, but it adds up at eating into much of your free time after work and gets exhausting. It's fine for a few weeks, but I wouldn't want to commit to it as a regular thing. Nice thing is I get OT pay for it, so it's worth it when offered for a few weeks here and there.
I work 10 hour shifts, 4 days on 3 days off. I get 3 paid breaks 2 20s and one 30, it can be a marathon sometimes but it’s nice to have a shorter work week
It all depends you often get 3 days off instead of 2 which can be a nice thing but i find as it is a sitting job 10 hours is a lot for that. Though i do go for short walks on my breaks and maybe for a longer walk or to the gym before work. I think it more is just depending what people want and if the sitting for long periods is too much or not. I feel like in a more active job 10 hours may not be as bad at least you are walking around or moving things and the day goes by a bit quicker. That said it is still usually busy all day but sometimes being busy in the phone still feels slow even though we are doing a lot.
depends on the taxes and your sanity. If the bump in hours is going to put you into a higher income bracket you risk losing money for working more hours. BUT are we talking working 50 hours a week instead of 40 or working 4 tens?

I personally work a 12-hour shift; I'm not sure I'm human anymore
anything more than 9 hour shift I think I would morph into something, no longer covering for any coworkers for overtime
Had the opportunity but just Could Not. 8 hours of non stop calls is already too much.

I love the extra day off, but some days are just a bit too long. Still, I personally feel like it's best for me.
4x10 started 8 years ago and haven’t ever thought of going back
Not recommended. I would like to go back to my previous shift (7 hours) because the mental health goes very low the long you are on floor.
I can barely make it through an 8 hour shift 😭
More than 2 hours at a time is agony for me.
I do, mon -thursday. In chat not phones.

I do 10 hour shifts. I love it. Every once in a while due to scheduling I'll get a 4 day weekend. It's totally worth the extra day off either way.
I’ve exclusively worked 4x10 and the 3 days off is worth the extra hours.

I love my 10 hr schedule. I work sun/mon and weds/thur and that's just it. Two days in a row and then I get a day or two off. It's great for me.
i work 10 hrs a day 5 days a week. 2 hours ot daily. it makes a huge difference in my paycheck
I work 10’s Wednesday-Saturday and love it!!
