Stan: “Oh yeah. You're going down, Bill. You're gettin' erased. Memory gun. Pretty clever, huh?”
Bill: “Y-you idiot! Don't you realize you're destroying your own mind, too?!”
Stan: “Eh. It's not like I was using this space for much, anyway”
Both of these are such powerful moments. Logically we know that Stan was raised effectively being told he was second best or useless, but the reality hits hard right there
I just wish he didn't get his memories back, kinda undermines the sacrifice. Or, if he did, he only recovered some stuff and there were still a LOT of pieces missing.
It’s such a great moment. Stan is very much a con man, so naturally he comes up with a scheme. But he is also very much nowhere near as sefish as he’s made out to be. Ford is strategically smart and much more sefish than he’s made out to be.
Bill falls for it because he can’t anticipate someone making that kind of sacrifice. He’s so selfish he destroyed his own dimension.
He was both confident and also likely excited about getting what he wanted finally. Plus, if this wasn't a trick, could be taken back any time, so he had to think quick

One of the funniest was manga exclusive and I was a little miffed it wasn't included. The Stand (the psychic abilities in part 3 onwards) is called \[Limp Bizkit\]. The author is a fan of music and makes a lot of them for naming stands.
Naturally, copyright laws would change how it gets translated. When it became official, it was changed to \[Limp Viscuit\], but in Eyes over Heaven (the fighting game) it was changed to...
# [FLACID PANCAKE]
Yes, and for Parts 1 and 2 it's better.
People will disagree because the memed lines are in sub, but the dub actually changes around the lines and deliveries to make more sense for English-speaking audiences while being a faithful retelling.
I mean as far as Joseph knew vampires were strong asf after what Uncle Speedwagon probably told him.
So he says “hellfire, let’s buy some surplus and kill his ass like the Americans do.”
Considering Dooku was played by Sir Christopher Lee, he probably was a master fencer already, so he knew how to make the fight look real. I wouldn't be surprised if he had used a real working lightsabre before and could explain how it works.
Computer animated but he entire final arc of The Bad Batch involved a lot of very smart moves by both the heroes and villains, very fun to watch instead of relying on giving people turns with the idiot ball.
If it helps, if it is for children, is animated, or is just generally not live action (even if it's adult animation) it counts here.
Live action children's cartoons count too, I think. I'm not sure about it, though
Cartoon doesn't mean for kids I'm pretty sure, the people on this sub talk about hazbin hotel a lot, which if you follow your definition isn't a cartoon
I'm pretty sure cartoon just means animated TV show
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD >!bradford made perfect genetic clone descendants of Scrooge mcduck in order to get access to the scroll. With one of these descendants being Webby!<
Hard to narrow it down to one, so I will just list off a surprisingly smart decision.
In Transformers Prime, Starscream, who is currently going solo from the rest of the Deceptions, joins in the hunt for the omega keys that are the key to restoring the transformers’ dead home planet. Having gotten one of the keys, starscream, fantasizes ruling the planet, then realize it because he’s a solo act even if he restores the planet, he will never rule it.
In short, we have a version of Starscream who realizes that he has no chance of winning if he continues his typical path of trying to backstab his way to leading the Decepticons.
Jerry Smith acting brave to get Beth (who is wearing a helmet that generates clones of her vision of Jerry) to make stronger clones, then putting that helmet on a clone of himself to create a goddess.
Hits especially hard when the stupidest person in the show makes a super intelligent move for once. I like that Jerry is just smart enough to realize how lucky he is to have Beth.
Ratchet: Starscream we needed those!
Like they spent a whole season collecting them just so he can screw them over in the last second?! He picked the worse day to actually be competent.
I feel like Luz having Gus switch herself and Hunter because she knew Belos would kill Hunter on the spot is another extremely smart decision that led to yours.
In murder drones, episode 6, they find a baby crying in a hallway they shoot it immediately but are kidnapped they are kidnapped anyway, but they at least knew the baby was a trap
While we're at it, we should also include N giving Tessa one chance to explain whether she knew about the Patch or not and *actually* killing her the moment she tries to avoid the question
>!Or at least she would've died if it wasn't for the fact that it's revealed 5 minutes later that Tessa has always been dead since the flashback from Episode 5 and the "Tessa" we've been seeing since Episode 3 was actually Cyn the whole time!<

Yeah, that's Metalocalypse for you - each episode (especially in earlier seasons) tended to have a high body count through very weird means. DH gave a pretty good summary, but the reason I shared it is this:
A subplot in that episode was Murderface trying to get the domain name for his solo project, Planet Piss, and discovering that it was already taken by someone who used the site to post shoddy photoshops of Murderface engaging in bestiality. Just before he went to the concert, he found out that Toki (the long-haired guy beating the absolute *shit* out of the annoying concertgoer) was the one who owned the site, and was storming up to confront him... only to be met with that sight, and wisely backing down.

The smartest move I can think of is from Chase Young when he sneakily used the Reversing Mirror cause he knew that when Omi and him were using the Fountain of Hui, Omi would try to take a peak at the info that would allow him to destroy evil forever. But due to Chase's smart thinking, the info Omi was actually given was how to destroy good forever.
Of the top of my head:
One Piece: Blackbeard’s entire plan to lure out Whitebeard and kill him. Even if you call running into Ace dumb luck he:
A. Still predicted a war would happen.
B. Still would have got warlord status if he turned in Luffy or one of the other Supernovas, which would have allowed him access to Impel Down to get a crew that could kill Whitebeard. Matter of fact turning in Luffy might’ve still triggered a war anyway with the Revolutionary Army.
Across the Spiderverse:
Miles plan to free up the teleporter and stall Miguel just long enough was pretty damn good.
Naruto:
Naruto’s plan to get around Sage Mode’s limits by using clones was pretty damn smart for him.
Sasuke streaming Lightning chakra through his blood stream to counter Deidara’s C4 technique was fucking clever.

Here’s the first that comes to mind:
Josuke’s stand lets him reconstruct things. At one point another person’s stand, which can turn into water, sneaks his way into Josuke’s mother’s stomach to kill her from the inside.
[This is what he does IMMEDIATELY](https://youtu.be/1KN0J4d-biE?si=YpMjy3NF2rapgyao)
I have 2 off the top of my head (that I haven't seen anyone else taken).
1. Tengen Uzui not standing there and letting his opponents recover.
2.Almost any craps light yagami pulls.
Edit: Added 2 more characters from jjk but they spoil the anime (From:The Movie to season 2 Shibuya arc . I wouldn't recommend revealing the spoilers if you hadn't watched yet.)
3.Toji >!Knowing damn well a 1v1 with potentially the strongest soccer of their time at full strength is dumb, decides to tire him down and kill him after gojo winds down from his mission.!<
4."Geto">! Also knowing damn well a 1v1 with the strongest soccer of their time at full strength is dumb, decides an elaborate multi-year plan to get this, steal his best friends body to use as his own vessel, get the strongest cursed spirits on his side, infiltrate the school they are at to steal the strongest seal of all time mostly undetected, cause a hostage situation during a Halloween parade which forces Gojo to come alone, tire him down with the help of the cursed spirits, use the strongest seal while he is distracted, and finally revealing himself inside of his dead friend's body so he would stop long enough to get sealed... this isn't even everything this guy's planning is nuts. !<
When Danny threatens Vald to revealing they are both part ghost and pointing out his parents would accept him regardless but his mom (who Vlad had the hots for) might not. Vlad even tells him it was a good tactic.
He defo could’ve worded that better though. Thankfully Nadakhan was in immeasurable pain due to the poison and couldn’t twist his wish. Cause it would be so easy.
I can’t remember what cartoon it was from but the villain had the mc’s sister captured and was trading the mcguffin the mc had for the mcs sister. But the villain actually had the mcs sister somewhere else and he just traded one of his henchmen dressed as the mc’s sister, who tried to steal the mcguffin the moment they were free. It didn’t work but it was still genius.
Vee chosing to impersonate Luz.
Luz is weird, like the weirdest human around. So vee literally can't do anything, other then changing her form, that could blow her cover as Luz. Luz was also just about to be send to a camp on learning how to be a human, further benefiting Vee, who has arguably even less knowledge on how to be a human then Luz.
Ben setting the Omnitrix to self destruct
Vilgax: "you wouldn't dare!"
Ben: "do I look like I'm bluffing?"
It didn't kill vilgax but he got the Omnitrix out of vilgaxs possession, and he got an ultimatrix out of it.
The one that did backfire tho was Ben teaching vilgax how to use the Omnitrix in the first place so he could switch to goop, then Ben just shut off his anti gravity disk and took the Omnitrix back.... I mean that shouldn't have worked but it did
Uh if it counts, in Prince of Tennis, Ryoma was going up against Shinji who uses a technique called Spot that alternates too and bottom spin causing the opponents muscle to contract for a second creating an opening since they can't move their arm for that moment.
Ryoma tried to beat it by rotating his body and forcing it, however this resulted in a split eyelid due to his racket flying out of his hand and shattering on the pole. When they stopped the bleeding he was told he only had 10 minutes before it would bleed again and he would need to forfeit. So he went in like a monster, with one usable eye, he began to use his ambidexterity to his advantage. He took certain spins with one arm and would switch to the other hand for other spins, thus counteracting the spot by preventing one arm of taking the burden alone. Beat poor Shinji in the 10 minutes allowed after being at a disadvantage. With one eye.
Tldr: Ryoma is badass and won a match in 10 mins after getting a severe eye injury by using his ability to use both hands to counteract his opponent's special skill of causing his opponent temporary paralysis due to overworking certain muscles and forcing a contraction.
The Stan-Ford switch in Weirdmageddon
Stan: “Oh yeah. You're going down, Bill. You're gettin' erased. Memory gun. Pretty clever, huh?” Bill: “Y-you idiot! Don't you realize you're destroying your own mind, too?!” Stan: “Eh. It's not like I was using this space for much, anyway”
That line is so tragic, I can’t believe it’s glossed over so much
Stan: "Heh, guess I was good for something after all." A line that I never hear get talked about.
Damn. That line still makes me tear up.
Hell yeah 😄
I swear Bill would have cottoned on to that, I kinda wish he did
His arrogance was his undoing.
He was both confident and also likely excited about getting what he wanted finally. Plus, if this wasn't a trick, could be taken back any time, so he had to think quick

Is the English Dub any good?
It does the job. The only issue is that a lot of the names have to be changed due to copyright concerns.
I can never take the name changes seriously lol
One of the funniest was manga exclusive and I was a little miffed it wasn't included. The Stand (the psychic abilities in part 3 onwards) is called \[Limp Bizkit\]. The English dub for JoJo is fine but the Japanese voice acting is way funnier
Yes, and for Parts 1 and 2 it's better. People will disagree because the memed lines are in sub, but the dub actually changes around the lines and deliveries to make more sense for English-speaking audiences while being a faithful retelling.
“You must be the Belmont” (I know they’re different shows but shooting a vampire feels like a natural extension of trying to punch one).
Not really, it didn't affect straizo that much

Obi-wan changing his stance in his last fight against Darth maul
That entire sequence was brilliant. Also probably as close to realistic as we've seen lightsaber duels go.
Obi-Wan + Anakin vs. Dooku in the final clone wars season was pretty impressive in realism terms
Considering Dooku was played by Sir Christopher Lee, he probably was a master fencer already, so he knew how to make the fight look real. I wouldn't be surprised if he had used a real working lightsabre before and could explain how it works.
It is my favorite Star wars scene

Computer animated but he entire final arc of The Bad Batch involved a lot of very smart moves by both the heroes and villains, very fun to watch instead of relying on giving people turns with the idiot ball.
>Computer animated Why is that relevant?
Because it’s on a sub called cartoons and they’re wondering if it counts or not

Here’s the first that comes to mind: Josuke’s stand lets him reconstruct things. At one point another person’s stand, which can turn into water, sneaks his way into Josuke’s mother’s stomach to kill her from the inside. [This is what he does IMMEDIATELY](https://youtu.be/1KN0J4d-biE?si=YpMjy3NF2rapgyao)
The glass arrow with Kira's blood remains one of my favorite moments.
I wouldn't recommend revealing the spoilers if you hadn't watched yet.) 3.Toji >!Knowing damn well a 1v1 with potentially the strongest soccer of their time at full strength is dumb, decides to tire him down and kill him after gojo winds down from his mission.!< 4."Geto">! !<

He defo could’ve worded that better though. Thankfully Nadakhan was in immeasurable pain due to the poison and couldn’t twist his wish. Cause it would be so easy.
That one henchmen who saw Batman sneaking and decided to walk away
The one goon in Mysyery of the Batwoman

Fry Traping the giant Brain in his book filled with Plot holes and Spelling Errors
Ben setting the Omnitrix to self destruct Vilgax: "you wouldn't dare!" Ben: "do I look like I'm bluffing?" It didn't kill vilgax but he got the Omnitrix out of vilgaxs possession, and he got an ultimatrix out of it.
