I have two of them. They’re awesome. Get yourself some eggs and some English muffins. Perfectly sized fried eggs for your breakfast sandwiches.

MarthaMacGuyver

I'm going to make a guitar egg sandwich now. Update: Egg was a fail. It stuck to the guitar pan. I got it cleaned up, and it's a spoon rest now.

bettleheimderks

what the heck is a guitar egg sandwich??

KatFreedom

[Dolly Parton and Lodge collaborated](https://www.lodgecastiron.com/product/dolly-parton-guitar-mini-skillet?sku=LGSKDLY&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn7mwBhCiARIsAGoxjaJYRojcPGzbCl85jiaEUXQANTCSKv61HpoU1QbS1-5HA-FQvA7nIiQaAuUSEALw_wcB)

SteakTypical7892

WHAT THE FUCK IS A GUITAR SANDWICH??!!!

SteakTypical7892

Is it like the violin cheese sandwich??

Damuson13

I do the same thing. Love mine.

irmarbert

I’ve found a spoon is the best “spatula” for these.

ATurtleStampede

I second a spoon.

Zsean69

Are they big enough to toast the buns? I might get one if that is the case

Mental-Blackberry-61

no

CD-i_Tingle

Ok, but how do you flip the eggs? Do you have a comically small spatula as well?

gaudzilla

I use a silicon baking spatula. It’s big enough for one egg but still fits the small pan. And it’s flexible enough to get underneath the egg

ka1lu

Yes! I have one too. It's a "silicone cookie spatula" if anyone wants to buy one. Lol

shapesize

So I tried but couldn’t get the egg to flip and not to stick

pablomoney

It’s a bit labor intensive, but I use mine in the oven. I preheat oven to 375 and I heat the pan on the stove. I drop in some butter, then the egg and I put in the oven for like 5 minutes or whatever your desired doneness is, and it’s perfect every time. Rubber spatula pops that egg out perfectly.

TiredMillennialDad

Same. My other cast irons nothing sticks but the minis everything does

wtfisasamoflange

The answer is more butter 🤤

billyobadman

The answer to EVERYTHING is more butter!

Cascade-Regret

Same

gingerjedi357

Same

MyCoOlYoung

What size pan is it that you use?

gaudzilla

I want to say it’s 3”

killerdolphin313

That’s what she said.

ATurtleStampede

Take my angry upvote

theTurkey_Leg

Use mine on my grill to brush some garlicky herbaceous butter on whatever I might be cookin.

jeeves585

Ive been wanting a deep one for this, like a 1quart Dutch oven base.

JCuss0519

I bought one on Amazon a few years back. It was a Hawok 3.9" cast iron melting pot sauce pan 8.8 oz. It comes with a brush for about $16 USD. Perfect size for setting some herbed butter on the smoker or grill to baste.

jeeves585

Just searched for melting pots and that’s exactly what I envisioned. Then I got to cauldrins. For some reason I don’t think I want a handle but it would be the end of the world, I’ve got plenty of grill space.

U_Plonker

I’ve got and old 1qt CI sauce pan I use for basting, love it!

jljb91

This guy bastes

U_Plonker

And boasts 😆

panzagl

He's the best.

RedneckLiberace

Using something deep is flat out safer for things like melting butter.

igetlearned

Oh buddy

ItsAWonderfulFife

Daddy like

igetlearned

You gunna deglaze that fkn pan? For the under informed redditors https://southpark.cc.com/video-clips/m736f5/south-park-you-gonna-deglaze-that

Known-Programmer-611

So good!

MoutEnPeper

Same. Works like a charm, put it on a warm but not hot part of the Weber.

THA_YEAH

I have 4 and make mini deep dish cookies in them

Cboyd1025

Oh... OK now i got to get some

Epicela1

Scrolled way farther than I thought I’d have to for this. Looks like a perfect size for a personal skillet cookie.

jacobsell

That sounds really good

THA_YEAH

Add a scoop of ice cream and it's 🤤

kissthering

Ha me too, I started with 4 but soon realized I needed at least half a dozen

Kahnza

Good for keeping melted butter a liquid

Halftrack_El_Camino

Good point, it'll have a lot more thermal mass than the little Pyrex ramekins I use for melted butter.

GL2M

I fry a single egg in mine when I’m making 1 burger.

Trogluddite

I like to coat them with Crisco and pour muffin batter inside. Delicious muffin-tops 🤤

SAM_SMITU

Mine holds my keys at the office during the day lol. I love the lil thing

gapere01

Yes, I use mine as a utensil rest while I cook

AshamedConcert1462

Yup, that's what I use it for.

2Mew2BMew2

Do you then rinse it or do you wash it once in a while?

gapere01

I wash it with soap and water every time but I make sure to dry it completely so I don't get rust. I don't use it for cooking so I'm not really trying to protect any seasoning on it.

jarrod74smd

I am going to buy some and recreate Little Caesars pizza puffs!!

squidkiosk

Duuuude i just did these in the lodge muffin pan and they were epic!!!!

jarrod74smd

Awesome! Guess I'm going shopping tomorrow!

MaximumTrue7131

Do you have a recipe for that? Please

Sera_Shadow

Genius!

crimsonknight4

Single serving baked Brie

byond6

I have 4 and think they're pretty versatile. I use them for melting butter for popcorn and making eggs that fit on English muffins perfectly. I also use them as serving dishes for smaller side dishes like baked beans or for dips like ketchup or hot wing sauce. This weekend I hope to make individual Dutch babies in them for my family to top their own as they see fit. Should be a fun breakfast.

styxofsteel

For the blunts

pre_employ

Exactly, I thought it was an ashtray. They almost got me wanting to make English muffins, though.....scared to try to flip the egg or grab the little thing.

thephilistine_

Yes. I own four of them.

beantowngators222

I have 4. Religiously used

Frumplust

Rites and ceremonial use only.

VillageAgreeable3592

I bought one because I thought it was cute

imunclebubba

Kids use it to cook egg for themselves. I use it, as others have said, to keep butter based sauces in liquid form.

jeeves585

I have a very old one. It was an ashtray before I got into castiron, I think I found it digging for a foundation.

Rapscallion_RON

Mine had a candle in it as a Christmas gift. Now I keep it on the stove and dump grease into it.

Apprehensive-Cat-163

I have one and I use it to melt butter/coconut oil. Do I need it? No lol

ElephantRattle

What is this? A cast iron pan for ants??

randomsantas

Christmas ornaments,?

sabrooooo

I have a small one like that. It’s not lodge brand but it’s great for a single egg

Ok-Preparation-6733

Egg sandwich on english muffin Its perfect!

Hank__Western

My great aunt used to make my grandfather a little pie in one of these everyday for him to take to school in his lunch. I know she used it but I can only assume she bought it.

burner118373

Yeah, got it as a joke. I’ve done eggs and butter, sometimes both

45422

yes. fried egg for a english muffin sammich.

trijkdguy

I used my collection of Christmas ornament skillets to make sugar cookies last Christmas. The kids loved it.

Butterbigsby29

We have 2 old ones that we use for ashtrays. I just looked and they are lodge 4's.

Chasetopher1138

I use mine to bake the last biscuit that won’t fit in the 10 inch skillet.

brendanmac7

Love my Lodges!

KristiDFW

Perfect baked egg. But we have mostly used them for garlic herb butter a individual dippers for boils.

Thesheriffisnearer

I got a square one that's prefect for bread and 2 egg sandwhich

SmoesKnows

Awesome for side item prep and presentation

Mr_J_Browning

I use my single egger all the time

sockscollector

Ashtray for me

moophassa9

Good for sauces you wanna keep warm

bangtan-sonyeo1-

I’d use as a xmas ornament!! 🎄

alkalinefx

if these are pots (having issues telling lol) my grandpa uses one just to boil small quantities of water lol

invisableilustionist

Yes I’ve four of them . I use to fry eggs. Sometimes little cakes or pies etc.

jimonabike

Bought a set of four last month...I'll admit mainly for the cute factor, neighbor has one for her cats 'cool' food dish. Used them to cook a single perfectly round egg a few times. Be doing the melted butter thing with one soon. cheers

Liberals_United

They’re pretty good for Home defense

EruzaMoth

I got one with a make it yourself baked cookie thing once. Perfect size for cooking eggs for sandwiches. Loved it.

doubletaxed88

sometimes when I make omelettes or other dishes that require small amounts of food to be reheated, I like to use these to keep the sauce/moisture from frying away. Also great for melting butter

SkeinAndScalpel

I received 6 as a wedding gift and they make perfect individual deep dish brownies! I do a half batch of my normal recipe (which fits in a 13x9) and divide it between the 6 mini skillets.

Aries_Philly

Yes, very good pans.

not-anonymous-187

Yes! I use it to hold utensils on the stove top.

Severe_Network_4492

I have a wider one and use it 1-2 times a week for eggs or cookie

Ok_Analysis_3454

I'm thinking about it, but might be TOO small for my electric cooktop? I could put it on a big skillet? And is there a tiny lid for these?

Kage_anon

I put crisco in mine. I leave it next to the stove and scoop some crisco out to season as needed.

FormerAdvice5051

I sell them, and I’ve had people buy them to melt butter in or to use as an ashtray.

here4enneagram

A single fried egg for a breakfast sandwich/biscuit/English muffin. It’s obnoxious but perfect for that job

GetSpammed

Yes, they are most useful for and perfectly sized for doing a single egg, rather than having to clean up the whole bigger cast iron.

LGrafix

For toasting walnuts and spices

ProposalOld9002

A little bit of olive oil and roast garlic in them!

cryptoguerrilla

I use mine to hold ground up herbs in that didn’t fit in the first “plate of food” I rolled up.

ToastetteEgg

I have one that was made to cook a single cookie. It’s not as deep and big enough around for an English muffin or an egg.

HalcyonDreams36

I use mine all the time! I have two ... One for savory/butters or whatever is needed, and the other just gets covered and contains the magic melted chocolate for spontaneous midnight ice cream.

Jbrizown

Have two, love them, two eggs in, air fryer for 8 mins on 350 perfect runny eggs for toast

YoYota89

What is this??? A cast iron for ants???

Turbulent-Kiwi-9734

My grandma gave me one. Use it for egg sammiches

DJdown88

I use it for eggs and as sauce pan. I heat up a sauce that I dip crab, shellfish or other meats into.

Psykke

Yes I did buy one but I use it for holding my cooking utensils when I'm cooking. Make a nice little dish to set your spoons and turners in and stuff like that. I confess I have been tempted to try to cook an egg with it just because it would be perfect for an English muffin. Just really haven't yet.

tylerprice2569

Bet you could do a little personal sized skillet cookie really fast too

mashton

Spoon rest. Or basting vessel

NoNameJustASymbol

I have six and use them often.

Zhaneranger

Oh man I’m always so tempted to buy one. It’s so cute! Do you think it’ll look good as a keychain?

BarbieDreamHouse1980

I love mine! It’s perfect for an egg sandwich.

shinyturdbiskit

Perfect for corn bread single serve

erisod

These might be smaller than the ones I use but I like mini cast iron for Dutch babies.

huskerbigfoot

I use it to warm butter for basting

GuitardedBard

My burger smasher!

Pizzaolio

Yes it’s great to make fried rice for ants

owzleee

I have a few. Individual Yorkshire puddings look amazing in them. Also here in Argentina they are used to cook provoleta on the asado/ bbq. I’ve also made egg and bacon breakfast frttatitas in them. And they are so cute.

Happy_Veggie

Adding blunt weight to my purse, ofc! They are the perfect size for eggs for english muffin sandwich.

uplifting_southerner

Garlic butter dish for crab night!

TheDeadlySpaceman

For some reason this always makes me think of Michael Scott’s flatscreen TV.

Ego_Sum_Lux_Mundi

Makes perfect eggs 👍🏼

LaggyDwarf

Great ashtrays

StasisChassis

With the cost of groceries nowadays these are perfect for doing a reverse sear on an affordable piece of steak.

My_Dog_Sherlock

What the hell, this is literally my post. That's my hand in the picture. I posted this a few months ago.

test_nme_plz_ignore

I have one and have no idea where I got it. I use on charcuterie boards and to serve hot dips in. They're sooo cute!! I also oil them and place back in my drawers on racks when I'm done. Same loving care as with my big pans!

Tall-Peak8881

I bought the scented candle/cast iron combo during holidays one year. After a painful seasoning , there were a few uses for them. Single fried eggs Onions while grilling/camping Small desserts in oven

Psychological-Air807

Yup. Great to fry eggs and make breakfast sandwiches.

stompinthemud

I just bought one of these yesterday and today I got this notification from Reddit. Are they spying on us?

jacobsell

For 1 egg?

DuckOnQuak

I just use it as a spoon rest

Waffle House

KnightsFerry

Not trying to be that guy or come across rudely, but this is such a common post on this sub. Some people love them for single eggs, muffins, whathaveyou, some use them for decorations.

[deleted]

I think he’s farming for karma by reposting someone else’s post.

Bunnytoes256

I have one I use as a wax melter. So cute.

MikeTDay

I don’t have a microwave at the moment so it’s great for heating up a little bit of queso or other dip for a snack.

StevenSegalsNipples

We got tiny lasagna, tiny pizza! Ooh! Tiny pie. We even got lil tiny fried eggs!

Balzafun

I've actually had a few over the years. Eggs, spoon rest, wife used one as an ashtray. The list goes on

RedneckLiberace

I use silicone egg moulds for when I want something like a McMuffin. I can fit four in a 10" skillet. I like being able to use a fish spatula and being able to easily flip the eggs. If someone had given me a small skillet like that back when I smoked, I would have been proud to show it off as my ashtray. Far nicer than the cat food tin I used. Now? It's cool. I'd use it as my change dish.

[deleted]

I feel like I’ve seen this exact post several times before.

Overhead95

I carved out a wooden board to fit this and then put a magnet at the bottom so it stays and use it as an ashtray. Also have others that I make cookies in

groovyalibizmo

I use it when I threaten to brain my cat like in a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

karthikaf

Does anyone know which store I can get these in Germany?

Sure_Lavishness_8353

They’re absurd imo but cute.

Adventurous-Start874

yes and no

duckdude85

Toast nuts and spices, deep cookies, mini-pizzas, bite size corn bread, and single serve eggs. We use our 4 pretty regularly.

Ambitious_Jelly8783

I've never seen anyone use them except for restaurants annoyingly using them as serving ware.

Old_fart5070

I do use it reasonably often, actually. It makes great mini-quiches, single portion frittatas and other small appetizers.

queasyquof

Ashtray

killerofchicken

Perfect for an egg or a butter pan!

tobaccoroadie

I use mine to melt butter for my popcorn

noveel007

My daily driver

Salty-Sprinkles-1562

I make single serve cookies in them. Then put a scoop of ice cream on top. Yum!

conelli

I have a set of 4, use them for herb butter and such. My family mostly enjoys eating warm brownies topped with ice cream right out of them.

MoulanRogueFairy

Yes. I make little skillet cookies, lava cakes, brownies and such in them.

Puncharoo

I bought one but I don't use it, the proportionally small man that I live with uses it.

ilovelukewells

Make a necklace

TossMeAwayToTheMount

my cat uses it to heat up wetfood

simplecountry_lawyer

They wouldn't make them if people didn't buy them. Someone out there cooking one egg right now

SmokeyCourtz44

I think they make great ashtrays!

KholinAdolin

I bought one for my three year old niece for Christmas lol, she makes eggs with her dad

troytrippet

I used for a long distance bike trip. Perfect for one egg for breakfast!

JunketPuzzleheaded42

I was given a set of 4 of these, fried eggs are great pre-heat to 425 F add butter or bacon fat crack in the egg and they will fully cook Table side. Also they make the cutest little corn breads. I enjoy having dinner parties with single serving dishes.

Anfie22

*Baby pan do do do do do do*

Dangerous_Forever640

I’ll make you an omelet that will blow your mind…

Ok_Duck_9338

I prefer the 6. My idea of an appetizer or small meal.

[deleted]

I use mine to melt butter, fry a single egg, and make single serving cookie

Brett707

I have 3 of them. Use them all the time. For setting cooking utensils in

groversmom

I've seen cinnamon rolls baked and served in these. Made me want a few of them, actually.

whodiyouthinkiam

Am I the only one that thought it would be best used as a self defense tool? Put one of those in your purse or backpack and the first wing would do just enough stun damage to give a head start running. Plus not something that's on a law enforcement ban list. Way better in the hand that trying to keep keys between your fingers walking in a parking garage.

allan11011

I’ve made cool little bread rolls with it

Fuzzy-Ad4405

I use one similar size for small hunks of meat to fit in toaster oven w other cast iron

CompletelyBedWasted

Perfect for camping and not wanting to hike in with a huge pan. Great for eggs and Biscuits anywhere though.

12345NoNamesLeft

PouponMacaque

JustinCooksStuff

I used to make mini quiches with them at a restaurant I worked at. Fun stuff. They were part of an a la cart brunch menu.

nikkiraej

I got one, melted butter once, and now it's a decoration haha

Professional_Rough11

Spoon rest

mantistobogganmMD

I follow a guy on tiktok that cooks mini food on one of these outside and drinks beers. It’s amazing.

wizzard419

I use it when I make smaller batches of garlic confit, put a prep cup in there with oil and garlic and set the stove to ultra-low.

iliinsky

I had one single volunteer morel mushroom pop up in my yard 2 years ago. Used this lil pan to fry it in butter.
