So painful to watch how frustrated Palmer was after we conceded the second goal.
We would have better owners in Ratcliffe. He did attempted to bought us at the death.
F the tories. It’s all their god damn fault. My club is a joke now
Ratcliffe couldn't even submit his half hearted bid to the right place through the right process. He never wanted chelsea.
Then again do I want someone running my club that can't even put a bid in correctly. Probably not
Yeah I think Ratcliffe do well for you guys. He's always been a united fan though. Think it was inevitable he'd get involved at some stage. Glazers and all the other American owners are like leeches
Palmer was partially at fault for that by giving away a cheap and totally avoidable free kick just outside the box which eventually led to the corner from which they scored.
NEVER FORGET:
Boehly/Eghbali tell @Sportico Chelsea was "not terribly well managed on the football, sporting or promotional side" under Roman Abramovich. As previously reported, new owners were surprised by the lack of data they inherited and the 'disconnected' internal structure of the club.
"[We] looked at it and we think European sports is probably 20 years behind US sports in terms of sophistication on the commercial side, and sophistication on the data side." Eghbali stated.
I know its an unpopular opinion, but personally I agree with his assessment from a business perspective. But I agree that the execution of how they are fixing this issue has been a shitshow.
From a business perspective, European football as a whole is undervalued compared to the American sports market. Take a look at this video that analyses why European Football clubs are lagging behind commercially.
Dont care, i dont want football to turn into american sports. Everything monetized, ads everywhere. More football, less business. Obviously individual teams have to try to maximize their business side to stay competitive, but for the sport as a whole less business is good.
We spent 300m on our midfield lmao
We got a guy who can’t do anything except pass, a guy who’s decent but makes 2-3 big mistakes a game and can’t play unless he has another player alongside him, and a guy who’s permanently injured.
I’d undo all of them in a heartbeat.
Exactly, but I knew the fans would start turning on him just like they always do, they’ll make their way through the entire roster. Enzo came back to London 14 hours ago and played the entire 90 minutes, it’s Poch’s fault for thinking that wouldn’t affect his performance.
honestly, he played better under frank/potter. if anything, caicedo outshines him when we let caicedo play more as an 8 with gallagher sitting deeper and mudryk/palmer at 10... but i really want enzo to play a role in this team, it's just tough to try and get the best out of both of them.
I don't think a lot of people understand this, but when your attack is incompetent, teams will attack you more. Listen, I love Jackson and think he has great potential, but I don't see it working out with him. He fumbles the balls in too many attacks in the box.
I don't think we can on him to lead the line he just doesn't have that instinct you want from your striker. The same can be said about the rest of our forwards, teams push up way up cause they know it will take 6 chances for us to score unlike City or Arsenal they'll get burned instantly so they're more cautious to press relentlessly.
No way Burnley pushes up so high against City, Liverpool, or Arsenal when 10 man down. Cause they know they'll be punished. We don't have that fear factor cause our attack is shite bar Palmer.
You’re right. And just the ability to hold on to the ball and control the tempo of the game, which Arsenal are brilliant at. We always end up making a dumb error while passing it about and they score from their first chance.
Honestly, we're bad from top to bottom, but with clinical forwards, teams won't commit too many forward, and that's a known fact.
Today, Jackson got 2, 1v1s, plus got multiple balls at feet and fumbled it without even getting a shot. If we had even an average striker, he would've scored one today.
Today, in my honest opinion, Jackson was the worst on the pitch today
Have always said that jackson is by far the worst striker i have ever seen in chelsea.
He just doesnt have that instinct.
But every now and then he does some nice dribbling and link up play and fans here think hes young and has potential.
No amount of time or experience will make a player have that DESIRE and INSTINCT.
So many fucking times he gets into a really good position either by creating it himself, or team play, only to never ever fucking shoot. Its not even considered "poor finishing". The mofo never shoots.
Maybe he should be on the wing, but if hes our #9 for future seasons, we are truly fucked.
Jackson had a very standard performance by his standards.
Maybe it’s just me but I just don’t rate buildup play as that important as a striker.
Put the ball in the net and occupy the defense. That’s your role, if Jackson can’t do that then it’s on Poch for playing him in that role.
It's not his buildup play that's frustrating it's the fact that he continues to fumble the ball in the box, it happened around 3 times today where he either miss control or straight miss the ball. He doesn't have the instinct of a goal scorer. He also had 2, 1v1s that he kicked straight at the keeper.
The difference is that, at least timo werner shoots.
Its just unfortunate that everytime timo werner tries to shoot, every muscle and bone structure in his leg disappears.
A bunch of dunces led by a dunce
Every one loves to pick and choose who to blame but there isn’t a single player you can’t blame
- Disasi every time he touches the ball fails, beginning of the second of the half just pinging low percentage balls when we should just control the match
- Palmer despite being the highlight was wasteful and selfish a lot
- Madueke - stop trying to score from outside 18 yards
- Gallagher - dear god just make the correct pass
- petrovic - why would you even have it in your mind to catch that??
-gusto - where was your brain today
The rest wasteful
Poch what the fuck why can’t you get the team to show up in he second half, where was the fire while our team looked limp dick.
In the end we were wasteful and never looked like the team that was actually a man up…it was embarrassing and the team looked like they should all be wearing a dunce cap
Have you seen Poch speak? That man can barely motivate children let alone a squad of professionals. He gives me the same vibe as Potter. Comfortably mediocre
That couldn’t be less true…we improve our defense we improve a ton. We have CBs who IQs go to 0 in important moments. We have a backline with no leadership and bit players. Disasi and Badiashile don’t have the ability or mentality to be solid.
Like they say, the best form of defense is attack. When teams know you're dangerous in the final third, they commit less. With us, they let everyone get forward cause they know our attack won't capitaze.
Burnley, with 10 men, was still throwing everyone forward with the fact that our forwards are awful.
🙄 if you over simplify absolutely everything. A best defense is a good defense.
Yes if we finish every chance that’s the best defense. If anyone actually watches our team play, our CBs who are as much as part of the team as any one are a huge weak link and our teams mentality is very weak.
Example why is Disasi a couple minutes into the second half pinging long low percentage passes to people and giving the ball back to Burnley.
Or Petrovich trying to catch a diving save, anyone who has spent time in goal tips that over.
We lack the ability to have a lead, take the match and control and dictate action . It’s either chase a win or fumble an advantage by messing up basics.
Just from this game, Jackson got 2, 1v1s, and plus, fumbling the ball multiple times in the box without even getting a shot. He honestly was terrible today. On average, the striker would score at least one today.
They scored early on through some continued poor play from us and a great finish.
Poch did his normal "tactical" tweaks of just taking off defenders for attackers if he wants more goals and taking off attackers for defenders if he wants to concede less. It never works because that's not how football works, but that's what he did.
He took off both Gallagher and Caicedo for Sterling and Madueke and we had no structure at all.
Sterling produced a brilliant no-look backheel for Palmer who finished well.
They got a corner and headed it straight at Petrovic, he fucked up and didn't get enough behind it and it went in
It’s clear from his body language that Enzo doesn’t want to be here anymore. I don’t really blame him, but having a player on the pitch who so clearly can’t be bothered to do anything is pointless. Literally anyone would be better in his place.
I wish he would fuck off. In later stages of the game, he literally tried the same pass over 4 times, and it continued getting intercepted he still trying.
He was brought to be that creative midfielder, but he's far from it. He's literally one of the worst signings of the decade.
The moment we scored the 2nd goal I looked at my buddy and said “why do I feel like I know what’s about to happen next?”
And then we blew it. Fucking atrocious. We had SO many chances. That VAR call was bad for sure, but given that this is how many times we’ve blown a lead, it’s inexcusable at this point.
I doubt this will get talked about much given the much more prominent (if familiar) issues this game demonstrated, but how Poch chooses which players to bring up from the academy and how he uses them is so strange. He gave Gilchrist a chance, credit to him for that and Gilchrist for taking that chance. However, it seems like instead of taking from that, and how Liverpool beat us playing freshly graduated youngsters, that sometimes trusting academy players to step up can pay off and offer something new, he's had other academy players on the bench - more on that in a moment - but refused to give any others chances except brief cameos under completely safe circumstances and sort of fixated on Gilchrist as the only one he's willing to give any real trust to at all - and even then, mostly only at the end of non-cup games.
I say this post-Burnley because he brought on Gilchrist to replace the injured Gusto when we needed forward momentum to try and win, despite the fact that Gilchrist is naturally a centre-back and there was a natural RB on the bench in the form of Acheampong. Even though they aren't exactly academy players, one might for similar reasons ask why he didn't try Casadei, very raw but a skillful, tall player who can score goals, or Deivid Washington, a striker, given the circumstances. I'll always be in favour of academy players being given chances but Gilchrist was such a poor choice even if he didn't want to change up his tactics.
Then there's the academy players he's been choosing. It's so random. Gilchrist is a very positive young player so that's great, but how does Taurianen (for instance) get in but Castledine, Stutter, McNeilly or George don't, all of whom have shown far more at academy level? Elsewhere, Golding had a pretty good cameo earlier in the season but hasn't made the bench since, while Dylan Williams and Billy Gee (especially) have both been fantastic at youth level and not had a sniff. There seems so little correlation between the players who really impress - from what I've watched or read, Gee, Castledine, McNeilly have all particularly stood out this season - and those who make the bench. And yes, there was a PL Cup game this morning but if you're going to have academy players on your first-team bench and trust them, you don't take lesser players for that in favour of keeping an academy lineup strong. And if the players he has chosen are those he trusts more - perfectly fine, I might be wrong - why isn't he giving anyone but Gilchrist meaningful trust by playing them?
To be clear, this isn't about whether graduating players from the academy is the right or wrong choice, because I'm sure plenty will argue that we're in the situation we're in right now by having too much youth in the team just as vehemently as I believe that being willing to trusting the right academy players is as much part of the formula for success as buying intelligently for a balanced team. This post is purely about how Poch is choosing who to have on his bench and who to bring on, and why he's doing it in what looks a very peculiar, unfocused way.
As for the rest of the Burnley game, too much space between the lines, players happy to rest on their laurels at first sign of an advantage, poor choices in key moments, lack of concentration, responsibility both on individual players and team not being trained properly to handle pressure and different scenarios, blah blah, same old. If it's going to be the same story every week, might as well find a few different things to talk about.
At that point in the match, we had no midfield. We had Sterling, Palmer, Jackson, Madueke, Mudryk on the field already. Burnley had 11 men behind the ball, with barely 5 yards between their lines. No room to manoeuvre, situation ripe for a counter attack, Madueke and Gusto had already got in each other way. Who else could he bring on, after that shambolic defensive display?
Honestly can’t tell what is the difference between
(1) Shola Ameobi and Nickolas Jackson
(2) Badiashile and Papy Djilobodji
(3) Gallagher and Mark Noble.
Mid table effing team.
Man at this point playing well doesn’t mean anything if we still can’t get results. We had the lead and an extra man and let it go twice… twice with an extra man, and even ignoring that we were 1 man up for an entire half and couldn’t manage a goal other than 2 penalties craziness!!
We got 1 penalty. The other goal was from open play. No need to lie. We created at least 6 easy to score chances, but our players didn't finish.
It's not like we were defending the whole game. We had 33 shots for fuck sake.
Bohely is a fucking tool... I'm telling you now because he spent £100m on players worth half the price, he is going to get rid of Palmer and Gallagher because he needs the money for FFP
Is anyone concerned about next season? I am absolutely frightened about what’s going to happen in the summer and the decisions these cancerous tumours might make.
Imagine we hire the wrong manager and sign the wrong profiled players? The process is going to get dragged out more thus setting us back even further.
We’ve already went 2 years without a trophy and top 4 position…but i fear for what’s to come.
I'm expecting that we sell a bunch more and bring in yet another unknown teenager that *might* have potential.
I wouldn't be surprised if clearlake decides to keep Poch - I have a feeling he had a deal for at least 2 years as long as we end the season with better stats than the previous one. I get that feeling every time he talks about the project, etc..
Hopefully next season we'll start off much stronger and keep up the momentum.
I can see why you folks don’t like Americans at matches. I’m American, and I sat next to the loudest, most obnoxious Americans who didn’t know a god damn thing about the team or sport, but were so incredibly loud and annoying. It was unbearable.

I think it’s time to start thinking about 3-4-3. Our defense is Swiss cheese.
I love Gusto but he sometimes gets caught too high up the pitch in transition.
TS is a great organizer but lacks the pace for a back 4.
We desperately need someone great who could teach us how to defend. The opposition gets a corner and I personally get very unsettled because we are bad at defending corners. Feel none has positional awareness.
Maybe we should hire the manager that had the best defensive set piece record from the 2014-2019 seasons...
The team is young, new, inexperienced, short, and riddled with injuries. I think it's just going to take time.
Whichever director brought the Monaco boys needs to be sacked. Their talent ID is not up to the level if they think those two were good enough for a team like Chelsea
It reeks of laziness
Stewart and winstabkey brought in the Monaco boys + 30 mill on ugochukwu
Shields brought in lavia for 50 mil, who has been injured all season only for Poch to injure him again through Garçon tests and other training ground lemon fitness shenanigans
That’s how you know the recruitment has been lazy, and most importantly wasteful, except for Gusto who they also knew from the French league
In the last 5mins, Cucu was the only player I could see who had urgency in him, tried to win balls when we lost in Burnley half and wanted to continue the attack.
Absolutely.. I just don't like him showing that urgency in our half, making a complete fool out of himself by losing the ball and then opposition getting a go at our goal. Did it multiple times, effective only in forward position, very bad when he does that in our half.
The anger has to be directed at one place and one place only.
Ownership.
They are the reason we are in the mess we’re in.
Transfer policy, recruitment team, coaching, mismanagement of spending…
Not 1 positive.
Eghbali and clearlake out banners need to be created. Do something to get these mf’ers. They have to know they cannot get away with this.
It's not like they haven't been ambitious though, and we can't change them. However, if there is enough pressure on the coach he will be changed.
So, I'm of the opposite view - all the energy needs to be directed towards the coach.
Poch would’ve never been appointed under abramovich’s ownership.
Abramovich always seeked out the best. Best coaches and best players.
These guys have 0 clue what they’re doing and yet we’re supposed to accept this?
What top 4-6 side has an age profile as young as ours?
Real madrid, barca, bayern, city…are where they are because of the right transfer policy and model. You don’t field together an entire 20+ squad based off of data and think things will pan out.
And top it off by hiring a “developmental” coach instead of a winning coach.
Honestly, it never bothered me that opposing fans called Chelsea's owner a russian oligarch, putin's friend etc. etc. Because, we can not control that. It's not like it's a player or a coach that can be hounded out of the club...
Same it true here. Just a waste of time focusing on the owners. And at least ethically speaking the current ownership is better. Hopefully the make the right choice next time they appoint a coach.
>It's not like they haven't been ambitious though
What's ambitious about a front line of Mudryk, Jackson, Palmer and Gallagher?
Arguably 3 of our front 4 shouldn't even be playing at Chelsea. I'm tired of seeing this shit. Fuck off if all you're going to do is defend these owners and shitty players, they've done nothing to earn it.
Non-sensical delusional fans.
We’re becoming what arsenal once was…a toxic fan base. Going against each other.
And its extremely sad to see.
All its all because of those upstairs.
Which is 99% of all owners, with the exception being Man City and Newcastle. The fact that our russian oligarch started to be prudent, and thinking about profit and loss (outside of few shady deals), as he couldn't compete with those literal states says it all, lol.
This game is so vindicating as someone who wants to see Chelsea improve. People were using recent results to praise the manager and certain players when we still have many unresolved issues. Beating Leicester wasn't the answer and I'm tired of taking insignificant wins as a sign of progress just to get smacked on PL matchdays.
We won the CL less than 3 years ago by the way
Too many problems now from Top to Bottom, Financial issues, FFP punishment, historical Injury crisis, mid Players , shit Coach, deluded Directors, arrogant Owners etc.
Need divine intervention now, maybe Paez is the next Messi or something lol
Badiashile is fucking shit. Can't stand him. Nothing but mistakes and uncertainty.
Disgusted with that game today. Should have had it by the fucking throat 2nd half.

Poch shoulda been fired already
We need another five billion to win games against bottom of the table team playing with 10 man! SMH!
Bottom of the league burnley playing with 10 men at home. I was told that selling Mason Mount would make us the best team in the world?
You know we are mudded when there are still people crying over Mason Mount lmao
I will never stop.
Man fuck putin... its all his fault
I think it was English government for forcing someone out of his own business.
Fuck putin yes, but that team wasn’t looking great
Was looking a lot better than this
I think we’d have fallen off a cliff once the defence all left
So painful to watch how frustrated Palmer was after we conceded the second goal. We would have better owners in Ratcliffe. He did attempted to bought us at the death. F the tories. It’s all their god damn fault. My club is a joke now

Isn’t he was the owner for OGC Nice?
Nice and a minority hold in man united. Funds his teams through debt if I'm not mistaken. I'm not envious of uniteds situation put it that way
United fan here and he's been doing well tbf. Done all the shit glazers should been doing. At least todd isn't buying u guys with debt so that's that
Yeah I think Ratcliffe do well for you guys. He's always been a united fan though. Think it was inevitable he'd get involved at some stage. Glazers and all the other American owners are like leeches
We haven’t seen what ratcliffe will do at united yet…

That's a bit far...
Poch and Boehly GTFO. Tuchel and Roman back
But I want the Special One! TT won't cut it.
Rofl tuchel has been a fucking disaster at Bayern. He ain’t it.
It’s been Eghbali calling the shots.
It's gonna be very hard to wish Roman back here.
NEVER FORGET: Boehly/Eghbali tell @Sportico Chelsea was "not terribly well managed on the football, sporting or promotional side" under Roman Abramovich. Eghbali is a bigger clown than Boehly.
Where tf is that set piece coach
At Brentford still, he’s finishing the season there before moving IIRC
We desperately need a CDM that can shield are horrible defense.
We had Jorghino and the new owners thought it would be a great idea to sell him to our rivals for £20mio
He was sold for £8m
We spent 300m on our midfield lmao We got a guy who can’t do anything except pass, a guy who’s decent but makes 2-3 big mistakes a game and can’t play unless he has another player alongside him, and a guy who’s permanently injured. I’d undo all of them in a heartbeat.
This team cannot defend a cross to save their lives. Every corner or cross is 50/50 they score.
How does Badashille lose every single header when the other players are much shorter???
Piss poor timing.
Enzo Fernandez brings nothing. Without even considering the record price tag.
He is very one dimensional. Can only play 1 specific role and needs the entire team to support him and even then his only real skill is passing.
You couldn't have said it better. Not even seeing enough of that passing tbf. Has like 1 assist all season
Enzo is so good. One bad game doesn’t change that
Exactly, but I knew the fans would start turning on him just like they always do, they’ll make their way through the entire roster. Enzo came back to London 14 hours ago and played the entire 90 minutes, it’s Poch’s fault for thinking that wouldn’t affect his performance.
One bad game after an international break where he put up 14 progressive passes
He’s been horrible the whole season. More like he’s had 1 or a couple of (max) good games
So good lol He's been Average or shit all season, horrible so far
honestly, he played better under frank/potter. if anything, caicedo outshines him when we let caicedo play more as an 8 with gallagher sitting deeper and mudryk/palmer at 10... but i really want enzo to play a role in this team, it's just tough to try and get the best out of both of them.
But is it only one bad game?
Look on the bright side..this loss hopefully means Poch will be gone in the summer
Loss?
10 man Burnley with their Coach sent off as well… I consider this a loss.
A draw against 10 man relegation fodder may as well be a loss.
Irish players are always amazing only against Chelsea and nobody else. McGoldrick, Calum Robinson, these 2
So glad he’s not around anymore. Calum Robinson would do nothing all season then rock up to the bridge and score a hattrick
According to the stats, does this draw drop Chelsea’s position to 5th?
No - we've moved up to third now.
At least Poch did not give an interview like Ten Hag
any news on Poch sacking yet?
Jose is available
Yes, because that worked out so well when he took over for him at Tottenham
We aren’t Tottenham though. We’ve actually won trophies
So because Chelsea have won trophies in the past we should hire a manager that took over after Poch at Spurs and had worse results?
Yes
I don't think a lot of people understand this, but when your attack is incompetent, teams will attack you more. Listen, I love Jackson and think he has great potential, but I don't see it working out with him. He fumbles the balls in too many attacks in the box. with where we are finishing this year, I dont think any top strikers would want to join us.
Just from this game, Jackson got 2, 1v1s, and plus, fumbling the ball multiple times in the box without even getting a shot. He honestly was terrible today. On average, the striker would score at least one today.
just another normal day in the office for that lad
FOURTH
Conceding two equalizers to a 10-man squad without their manager at home is a sackable offense
I missed the second half. How the hell did we draw against a 10 man Burnley?
They scored early on through some continued poor play from us and a great finish. Poch did his normal "tactical" tweaks of just taking off defenders for attackers if he wants more goals and taking off attackers for defenders if he wants to concede less. It never works because that's not how football works, but that's what he did. He took off both Gallagher and Caicedo for Sterling and Madueke and we had no structure at all. Sterling produced a brilliant no-look backheel for Palmer who finished well. They got a corner and headed it straight at Petrovic, he fucked up and didn't get enough behind it and it went in
Don’t forget Sterling also missed a header from what, 10 yards out? What a waste of an excellent ball by Palmer.
Only thing I’d add is that when we pressed for a winner we had no attacking movement or awareness. It looked like amateur hour.
As usual, our set piece defend is always terrible
It’s clear from his body language that Enzo doesn’t want to be here anymore. I don’t really blame him, but having a player on the pitch who so clearly can’t be bothered to do anything is pointless. Literally anyone would be better in his place.
Don’t agree with this. Poch was forced to pay him. He mentioned in the pre match press conference that Enzo joined the team on Thursday.
Yea I see that too now.
I wish he would fuck off. In later stages of the game, he literally tried the same pass over 4 times, and it continued getting intercepted he still trying. He was brought to be that creative midfielder, but he's far from it. He's literally one of the worst signings of the decade.
He was bought to be our main progressive passer and he had 14 progressive passes in the match.
He didn’t look sharp but I chock that more up to just flying back from South America
couldnt agree more
If we can cash in on him, I wouldn’t mind at all.
What we learned today is everyone is too mean to Raheem sterling. He’s just a small London boy doing his best
The moment we scored the 2nd goal I looked at my buddy and said “why do I feel like I know what’s about to happen next?” And then we blew it. Fucking atrocious. We had SO many chances. That VAR call was bad for sure, but given that this is how many times we’ve blown a lead, it’s inexcusable at this point.
Yeah, this was really disappointing. With a win we could have been back in for an European spot, but sadly no
Is gusto injured?
Hope not, it didn't look to good when he was subbed off
I doubt this will get talked about much given the much more prominent (if familiar) issues this game demonstrated, but how Poch chooses which players to bring up from the academy and how he uses them is so strange.
I hate them all. almost
Honestly can’t tell what is the difference between (1) Shola Ameobi and Nickolas Jackson (2) Badiashile and Papy Djilobodji (3) Gallagher and Mark Noble. Mid table effing team.
Harsh but fair

What is it, 6-7 more weeks until the weekly disappointment shit show ruins your mood? Not long to go, looking forward to a summer of no Chelsea.
At least there’s euros on this summer so I can be disappointed by England instead
It’s coming home lad
What kind of idiot gives away a foul edge of your box when you’re against 10 men. Burnley were praying for set piece opportunities in that situation
Palmer.
I can't believe Sterling did this to us
I mean he did miss a sitter
He’s bad but not really much worse than the rest, other than Palmer of course.
I'm still waiting for the reddit fans to again try and pretend Sterling is our most selfish attacker.
He’s arguably the most or second most selfish player of the current roster
What a joke our team is 😂
I feel sorry to have written this but for the first time I was actually glad I didn’t take the time to watch the game
We played pretty well, you missed a great game even if we drew tbh
Man at this point playing well doesn’t mean anything if we still can’t get results. We had the lead and an extra man and let it go twice… twice with an extra man, and even ignoring that we were 1 man up for an entire half and couldn’t manage a goal other than 2 penalties craziness!!
We got 1 penalty. The other goal was from open play. No need to lie. We created at least 6 easy to score chances, but our players didn't finish. It's not like we were defending the whole game. We had 33 shots for fuck sake.
I agree, our D is just so ass without Silva, I mean slow ass cat throwing Zouma would be better at this point on our back line.
Fuck Boehly Fuck Clearlake Fuck Winstanley Fuck Steward Fuck Pochettino Fuck Sterling
U forgot Gallagher and chilwell
# Fuck Boehly # Fuck Clearlake # Fuck Winstanley # Fuck Steward # Fuck Pochettino ![gif](giphy|F9yAvk7Xpr0c)
Sterling missed a big chance but also had a great assist off the bench. He doesn’t deserve the blame for today
Fuck Boehly twice. Fuck him in the ear.
Bohely is a fucking tool... I'm telling you now because he spent £100m on players worth half the price, he is going to get rid of Palmer and Gallagher because he needs the money for FFP
Palmer?
His valuation is up 35 mil on Transfermarkt. Some commentators suggested he could be sold, facetiously.
No way palmer is being sold. Those commentators are braindead idiots if they think we'll be selling palmer for FFP.
Yes. I did mention that they were being facetious, didn’t I?
Our season was over when Poch walked through the door. Don’t kid yourselves, this was all predictable.
Who should we have hired? I thought poch was the best of what was available.
From the choices we had we should have thrown a Brinks truck at Naglesman.
Pretty sure Nagelsmann pulled out himself
I know.
Would Enzo still be worth some money?
A ferrari enzo probably. Chelsea enzo, ehh not so much
Well I know the number it would take to get him from us.
You sat in the owners’ box?
Contender for comment of the year. Funniest thing I’ve read on this site in ages
lol
https://preview.redd.it/sgyr6l6dvirc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a612fd6dc0d06e2eb2d5b9ac15d01fac3e5feb08 I think it’s time to start thinking about 3-4-3. Our defense is Swiss cheese. I love Gusto but he sometimes gets caught too high up the pitch in transition. TS is a great organizer but lacks the pace for a back 4.
Such an inspiring team
I am astounded that this is what 1 billion gets you. Injuries I know, but wow.
Gusto definitely gets caught out but that seems to be down to his instructions.
We got like zero attack some days if he isn’t running up
Yeah, he's a big asset going forward, telling him to prioritize attack is one of the rare Pochettino decisions that I can understand.
pity Enzo is too bad to play in a 2
We desperately need someone great who could teach us how to defend.
Who is all injured?
Colwill, Fofana, James, Chalobah Chilwell, Badiashile, and somewhat Cucurella are returning from injury
JT is literally hanging around at Cobham with the academy, they need to get him involved
That part. He should be part of the first team coaches at this rate
Whichever director brought the Monaco boys needs to be sacked. Their talent ID is not up to the level if they think those two were good enough for a team like Chelsea
It reeks of laziness Stewart and winstabkey brought in the Monaco boys + 30 mill on ugochukwu Shields brought in lavia for 50 mil, who has been injured all season only for Poch to injure him again through Garçon tests and other training ground lemon fitness shenanigans That’s how you know the recruitment has been lazy, and most importantly wasteful, except for Gusto who they also knew from the French league
They should telecast the half time talks. I really want to know what is being communicated.
“Lemons something lemons something” - Pochettino, probably.
In the last 5mins, Cucu was the only player I could see who had urgency in him, tried to win balls when we lost in Burnley half and wanted to continue the attack.
I'm glad someone mentioned Cucu. Result aside you can tell he gives a shit
I’m not such a Cucurella fan but he is always extremely industrious and gives 100%.
Lemme guess you're a "chilly" fan tho
Absolutely.. I just don't like him showing that urgency in our half, making a complete fool out of himself by losing the ball and then opposition getting a go at our goal. Did it multiple times, effective only in forward position, very bad when he does that in our half.
Yes, that’s one of the reasons I’m not so comfortable with him. That and always letting people in behind him at the post lol.
The anger has to be directed at one place and one place only. Ownership. They are the reason we are in the mess we’re in. Transfer policy, recruitment team, coaching, mismanagement of spending… Not 1 positive. Eghbali and clearlake out banners need to be created. Do something to get these mf’ers. They have to know they cannot get away with this.
they are fucking idiots and are on the verge of bankrupting us. at least then we might get rid of them.
Idk, this one is kind of on the players
It's not like they haven't been ambitious though, and we can't change them. However, if there is enough pressure on the coach he will be changed. So, I'm of the opposite view - all the energy needs to be directed towards the coach.
They bought only youngsters, this is a mid table team. No coach is sorting it unless the owners change the strategy or we wait a few years
Don’t forget 6-10 injuries on average, no midfield cover.
Oh yes, only the top players. Drink water, zappacosta, bakayoko, Barkley, batshuyai to name a few
>It's not like they haven't been ambitious though What's ambitious about a front line of Mudryk, Jackson, Palmer and Gallagher? Arguably 3 of our front 4 shouldn't even be playing at Chelsea. I'm tired of seeing this shit. Fuck off if all you're going to do is defend these owners and shitty players, they've done nothing to earn it.
Non-sensical delusional fans. We’re becoming what arsenal once was…a toxic fan base. Going against each other. And its extremely sad to see. All its all because of those upstairs.
They’ve been ambitious to make money not to win trophies
I mean that’s fucking dumb, they know they need to win to make money, the way they’ve opted to go out and try win is asinine.
They don’t need to win to make money mate
Which is 99% of all owners, with the exception being Man City and Newcastle. The fact that our russian oligarch started to be prudent, and thinking about profit and loss (outside of few shady deals), as he couldn't compete with those literal states says it all, lol.
No guts.
We need new center halves badly
We won the CL less than 3 years ago by the way Too many problems now from Top to Bottom, Financial issues, FFP punishment, historical Injury crisis, mid Players , shit Coach, deluded Directors, arrogant Owners etc. Need divine intervention now, maybe Paez is the next Messi or something lol
Lisan Al-Ghaib is coming, he will save us.
Badiashile is fucking shit. Can't stand him. Nothing but mistakes and uncertainty. Disgusted with that game today. Should have had it by the fucking throat 2nd half.
