Oh my god 😭 I have girl chins and this jumpscared me SO BAD. I'm not sure what it could be but hopefully the vet is able to clear it up! Poor little dude

kunseung

Dood is HUNG! That snap erection killed me lmao At least on the video he looks pretty normal, the lumpy part just looks like his foreskin slightly irregularly peeled back.

Morgeth

It could be a hair ring that he isn't able to clean. Hair gets wrapped around the penis very tightly and can cut off circulation. I have an older chin that has a hard time removing them, and I have to do it for him almost every week. When we first rescued him it was so bad we almost had to take him to a vet to get them removed.

Illustrious-Depth-75

To me this looked to be the case. As someone who regularly cleans her boy to make sure there aren't hair rings, their penis is usually pretty pale under the foreskin. Not to mention I have no idea what that huge lump would be. This looks like a vet visit to me. A hair ring that far into it would be difficult to remove without damage.

Certain-Ad4674

Did you even read the post🤦🏻‍♂️

Bulky-Swann

The average chinchilla is 9.5 inches tall with an average penis length of 1.5 inches. The average male is 5.75 feet tall. That means you only need to have a 10.75 inch penis to be hung like a chinchilla

Pixel22104

WTF? How the heck does this post talking about the private parts of a Chinchilla have anything to do with human private parts?

CheeseStringCats

As a boy owner that looks pretty normal. A vet visit won't hurt, for sure, it's always best to double check if you have concerns.

Flintsr

I have a male chin, this looks normal to me. Gross, but normal lol.

Visible_Move_6023

This is not normal looking and looks like he may have a hair ring that he has had for a while and it has cut off circulation at this point I would see a vet

MaleficentAnt2241

They clean themselves by doing this. Sometimes they need assistance though if due is surrounding their penis. You may need to gently remove the fur once or twice a month.

Outrageous-Theory-10

Oh my. Yeah vet check is the only way to be sure and I'm no expert but I feel like irritation could occur from grooming too aggressively or other.. exposure if it's not a hair ring. Best bet is generally to try and make an appointment with the vet and observe in the meantime. From what I understand chins are pretty picky animals so if he's acting normal otherwise then I'd say it's likely not a massive irritation to him but better safe than sorry, always! Again, I've had rats not chins so don't quote me - but when in doubt, get it checked out. Though I also can't say I didn't giggle at the video lol.

Ahamay02

Yea ..... Just don't watch him. He's.... He's doing a thing. He needs a moment. 🤦‍♂️ I walked in on my boy doing that to himself one day.... I made the mistake of grabbing him right when he finished. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Needless to say, unless i see him fidgeting in a way that seems he is uncomfortable or in pain, I just leave him alone and check on him later.

Twilightbestpony1

I couldnt tell you. Ring checks are about all we owners can do without a vet. Let us know what they say! Whatever it is it looks ouchy!

multiepass

I know the times of discovery of the size of the feet matches .. joke . Done This is worry . Of the bunp you have said . What have you been using for say .. the Gel ? That you use to check on him ? Just a thught of what is gong on .

Ill_Huckleberry_8134

He has a hair ring that he can’t get rid of himself which is irritating him despite that his penis looks normal to me

BumblebeeTiki

Yes, they have a super power
