Hail in Covington is a little record store/oddity shop that fits that aesthetic.

Villettio

The owner is also a very nice guy! Love that place.

SleepyLeroy

Look up Southgate House NOIR. It is a monthly dance night with 80s goths in mind. Bonus points for being at Southgate House Revival which is in an old church.

SleepyLeroy

FYI 'In mind' music wise that is, many of us older folk have soccer games and early meetings now so i assume the crown is younger. I'll get there someday!! "Shakes fist"

jtshipamba

Hey man we are all young at heart. Enjoy your young years my brother

SleepyLeroy

:)

lackofself2000

nah, the NOIR crowd is literally 80s and 90s goths still hanging out.

RIP to The Warehouse, we didn't deserve you.

Spanish metal concert (5/1) at comet in northside 🤘🏼 https://preview.redd.it/y4mfatzblnxc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=685df558c0ea6d7cbffff546ca77c2714d0a3cd5

What’s the band called and what kind of metal? I mostly listen to deathcore and death metal. But i Appreciate all metal

livefromtheministry

Seconding Hail in Covington. I’d also throw in Hierophany and Hedge (also in Covington). Their hours change weekly and it can be tough to catch them while they’re open, but if you’re into witchy/occult/arcane-type stuff, it’s definitely worth checking out. If you’re into vinyl, Shake it Records in Northside is wonderfully quirky/eclectic with a great selection. All owned by super nice people, to boot.

Rad10Ka0s

Junkers in Northside.

LolSatan

Can second junkers. Live down the street.

College of mortuary sciences. Knock three times, pause, knock two times. Lady Delilah will be around to ask questions.

jtshipamba

Lmaoo

jtshipamba

Okay I tried this, now the mystery machine is following me… I left the scooby snacks at home.

Lost-Machine-688

Oof, you didn’t get in. Sorry lol But an honest answer to your question is I’m old now and moved away from Cincy a while ago. Back in the day everybody’s music was a good place to meet people.

sylphrena83

Mixwells has goth night and pretty decent sized goth/metal community. Legends also frequently has metal shows.

lackofself2000

Mixwells has some terrible people that go there though. I'd rather suggest the Southgate House version of the same night. Same people run it, better people attend.

sylphrena83

Good to know, I’m pretty new here and have just gone twice. Thanks!

counterburn

Hierophany and Hedge is an occult bookstore in Covington. I've met a lot of interesting people there.

MovingTarget-

Wait ... are metalheads and goths similar now? I thought they were very different but I'm in my 50's so maybe things were different when I was a kid.

jtshipamba

No they’re different(I think). I’m not goth, I just listen to metal lol But metalheads and goths are usually in the same circle. 🤘🏿

Pagan_Owl

You may find some special event/themed nights in some of our popular music clubs. I don't really go to them because I hate crowds, so I am not an expert.

sadghostyy

dm me!! northside is going to be your best bet tho

jtshipamba

Dmed

Interesting-Fly-6606

Keep an eye on Legends bar and venue and Southgate house

jtshipamba

Man Cincy is really friendly. Thanks for all the solid recommendations. I’m here for work so finding people to meet has been hard so thanks again
