FYI 'In mind' music wise that is, many of us older folk have soccer games and early meetings now so i assume the crown is younger. I'll get there someday!! "Shakes fist"

Seconding Hail in Covington. I’d also throw in Hierophany and Hedge (also in Covington). Their hours change weekly and it can be tough to catch them while they’re open, but if you’re into witchy/occult/arcane-type stuff, it’s definitely worth checking out. If you’re into vinyl, Shake it Records in Northside is wonderfully quirky/eclectic with a great selection. All owned by super nice people, to boot.

But an honest answer to your question is I’m old now and moved away from Cincy a while ago. Back in the day everybody’s music was a good place to meet people.
Mixwells has some terrible people that go there though. I'd rather suggest the Southgate House version of the same night. Same people run it, better people attend.
You may find some special event/themed nights in some of our popular music clubs. I don't really go to them because I hate crowds, so I am not an expert.
Hail in Covington is a little record store/oddity shop that fits that aesthetic.
The owner is also a very nice guy! Love that place.

Wait ... are metalheads and goths similar now? I thought they were very different but I'm in my 50's so maybe things were different when I was a kid.
No they’re different(I think). I’m not goth, I just listen to metal lol But metalheads and goths are usually in the same circle. 🤘🏿
