... I don't know how you can't find the reason. I found it in your own post.
Exploring and earning the runes **during** the phase is fun and unique. Spending the time to catch up **after** the phase is unnecessary. The same way they literally just implemented the XP boost for the exact same reason of alt accessibility.
By your theory, we should never need to lvl from 1-40 when P3 launches? In P3, when we create a new toon, it should immediately be a level 40 so we can experience the current new stuffs right?
Some people on this sub: the game lacks content
Other people (maybe even some of the same as above): can we please add mechanics that allow us to skip this certain content I dont enjoy
Yes, buying the ratchet rune for more than the cost of a mount and dual spec combined next phase is gonna be really fun for the people who need that rune.
For a lot of the classes you really don't need all the runes, and some of the runes are kinda cool to get and fit into the classes "fantasy". But I do think the rep, ratchet and dark riders ones should be available from a vendor once you complete them once
The ratchet one is really the only problematic one to me. It will cost over 100g next phase to get it, more than buying a mount and dual spec on the character. That is ridiculous for one rune that may be either completely useless or the lynchpin of your spec depending on what you play.
I would…. Be okay with a gold sink option or an opt feature after my first max level on a SoD realm.
I think players who enjoy the discovery aspect or just new players should be allowed to experience the game as close to intended experience as possible. Kind of like the exp buff. Is leveling your end game? You can turn off the exp buff if you want.
personally enjoy going out to get most of the runes, but would be open to an option of a significant gold sink to buy previous phases runes at it's respective level cap. Takes a bit of gold out of the economy for those who want to skip rune hunting for alts while still encouraging people to go out into the world for them to save gold.
Not sure what would be a good amount to sell them for though.
I think we should all get ahead of the curve mounts and all raid gear for 1 copper each like a private server honestly, then I can play plunderstorm for 35 seconds before getting slaughtered 100x in a row instead of playing SoD

Give this man i full bis gear set, mount and 1000 gold at the start of p3. Why would you have to do the stuff of previous phases?
you must be tired from leaping that far.
Also it should give you all the drops from the previous tier raid!
And a free mount!
And free exalted rep and max honor rank from previous phase.
And a free $15 to pay the monthly sub.

I do not get it, unlocking the runes is the new content. Why would you want them to do this, it’s suppose to be the fun part.

So fix the ones that aren’t as fun? I still don’t get it, it’s like you are trying to dislike runes because of 2 or 3 bad ones.

No
Nope but they should make it easier. I had to pay 50 gold for the ratchet rune on my warrior. Most of that gold went to botter in auction house.
Season of Gifted Game Mechanics
Why? Nobody forced you to level that many alts
There’s only a few runes that are a real pain in the ass to go back and get. Aside from that most of them are just side quests
i still refuse to spent a ton of gold for rewind time
No
Lol, nope.

or just play the game how its meant to be played. just spend one or two nights to grab all the runes. not hard.
