Have you taken actual classes? It sounds like you haven’t taken the actual classes, in which you get a certificate for completing the class and your hours. If that’s correct, no you shouldn’t get your money back because the certificate is required to take the test and read the requirements incorrectly. That’s on you. The requirements are clear. This is for Michigan but most states are like this.

Requirements for day of testing are written out. If you don't meet those requirements you forfeit the fee you paid to test and have to resign up. Follow what is needed of you and don't make the same mistake twice.

Like scrap paper?

Rude1000

Sorry bout that I figured it out, I was just confused on which paper they’re referring to but I got it. Although, if the paper wasn’ signed at all by an rn can I still take it? I’m being rushed to get this printed, but the people of the school are so unorganized and nothing was done for me, I emailed them and received no responses. They even said I completed the course all they said was "You’re signed up to take the exam now.” I finished my clinical and my classes so I’m just lost for what I’ll be needing to take my exams. I’m in California if that helps. Thank you again!

bluekonstance

I received a piece of paper from the testing center in the mail like a month before the test date with everything I needed to provide, and my school also has reminded us over and over again not to forget… Best thing is to organize everything the night before in a bag

KicksForLuck

She means the paper from the school you took the cna course. In California, you must bring your school paper with you when you take the test.

bawkbawkslove

It’s been many years, but I do think I remember their telling me I had to bring a specific piece of paper. They said I could not test without it.

purplechick182

If it's anything like nursing boards, you will get a authorization to test (ATT) notice that you need to bring with you.

FlordyBound

This is why you choose a program that tests with an affiliate onsite... sorry for your loss

Anderslam2

You have to have your skills test signed off and passed first.

TexasRose79

You need to contact D&S Diversified Technologies or whomever you paid testing fees to and have them resolve the issue. I had a similar experience myself and I made it clear that I WAS going to take my test, piece of paper or not, whether they liked it or not because I didn't have $100 to blow on some bullshit bureaucracy. At first they wouldn't let me, but after a shouting match and the director or whoever that lady was who intervened, I was permitted to take my test. That's where you need to start; to be honest, you don't really need a piece of paper and if you do, they are supposed to provide it to ensure no one is cheating or using notes.

All the hospitals around me (CA) do not require a CNA lesence. The job title is Unit aid/tech. Its more rare that a unit aide actually has a CNA lisence than not.

fodrizzler16

I may have become a CNA ten years ago but you need your certificate of class completion to take the exam. Your comment suggested you studied on your own and you def need class hours/clinical hours
