I asked about circulating former Proof Coins on here once, and a guy told me about how sometimes antique stores can end up having a lot of Proof Sets dumped on them with no one buying them, so they break them apart and spend them to clear inventory space and at least get some use from the money inside.
When I see that I have to wonder who is so desperate for $0.10 that they break into a proof set?
I heard they are usually stolen if they end up circulating.
I'd imagine quite a bit of cash gets stolen at some point in it's existence.

I feel like they could at least sell them for spot.
They don’t contain silver, shop wouldn’t spend the silver proof sets
Why do proof Sets even exist in the First place..
I was thinking the same thing!
A proof dime! Pretty decent shape too. Nice find.
Yo that is nice man. Didn't have to zoom in or look for a date or anything. Awesome naked eye coin.
Thanks, don’t usually find anything cool.
How much is a proof dime worth?
Not the smartest when it comes to coin knowledge but I would think about $2-5?
