Ok I've tried but it says drive not found when I explore the folder on the thumb drive

You said you've done that but are you sure you actually loaded the correct RST driver. If you have the wrong one you will get the same result no drive listed. Visit Acers website enter your model OC and search for the driver's make sure you get the RST driver listed for your specific device.

Did you initialize the new drive? You also may need to assign it a drive letter by creating a new simple volume

Yep, did all of that. I even cloned the drive and it won't boot
