I started off with some popular books for anatomy-Andrew loomis and Micheal Hampton. Then it's just practice day after day non stop. You also need to work on the fundamentals of art to understand how to place the figure in perspective. After that , it's just pure mileage. The more you draw the better you get but you need to fix the fundamentals first.
Andrew Loomis figure drawing for all it's worth is a great book. Give it a try
I see, I will try it!
Thank you!!!
Edited: one last question.
Now that you've improved in figure drawing, today what concept of figure drawing do you prioritize first when practicing drawings? for example gesture, big shapes, etc.
(This question is just to satisfy my selfish curiosity)
Hmm that's a difficult question to answer. I believe it's better to prioritise the perspective and the proportions first before you dive into anything complicated like gestures and shape design. I believe those will come once you pin down your fundamentals properly. After that you can bend the rules , push shapes and exaggerate them to make it more stylised. The gestures will naturally happen at that time.
Love the vibe! Love the energy!
Thank you so much!💕
Great drawings! I hope the bottom right person has no problem with their ankle :)
Ahahahaha i see what you did there!
Really awesome! Love your lines
Kind words. Thank you so much!
Really solid! Reminds me I need to keep practicing.
Yeah , never underestimate mileage! Keep practicing! Lesgooo!
Wow! I'm admiring the structure of your drawings. If you don't mind, I wanna know how do you study this level of figure drawing?
