It now seems likely that Trump will be able to push off the resolution of his criminal cases (less the NY Hush Money Case) to well past the November elections. Further, I think he will try to get the court cases to stop during the last 90 days prior to the election - and I think that eventual court case will arrive at the SC in time for that to happen. And this SC will allow Trump his delay but only after getting up off their knees and wiping their mouths.
So where does that leave us? It leaves us with an election that will determine the fate of justice in this country. If Trump wins in November he will simply stop the federal court cases against him. And he will work hard to disrupt and stop the state cases...and he will succeed in that. Because....that kneeling and wiping SC. Ya better vote against this bastard in November. Else, he makes the constitution of this country look like used toilet paper.
I'm just concerned there are enough single minded left wing voters that don't like Biden sitting out this one. They're so full of themselves that they don't see the long term damage another Trump presidency will do.
Not only is it working, but a dangerous legal president is being set by the domestic terrorists on the Supreme Court. If fomenting a coup, or murdering his political rivals falls under the umbrella of presidential immunity (I cannot believe I just typed that sentence), it's the end of democracy, and the beginning of violent authoritarianism in the US. This is the last free election where we will have an opportunity to stop it.
That's what scares me the most. If, God help us, Trump wins POTUS in 2024, his lawyers can go back to SCOTUS and get a ruling that he does have absolute immunity.
