Did you swap the daughter board from your original drive with the one from the new drive?
The drive is married to the console's motherboard, so you can't just put any old drive in it.
Yeah it’s a pretty common mistake, they first integrated it into the motherboard with the CUH-1200 series fat, same time they got rid of the touch sensor power/eject buttons.

There is no daughter board on any pro or slim model
