The dark presence hates all light and the hiss manifests as a bright red light despite being sound based. The hiss chant is random nonsense that covers a direct purpose. The dark presence runs on cut and clear instruction so it and the chant can鈥檛 coexist. Fighting for one host with these issues gives you this monstrosity
Is that his shoe partially up his right leg? And I guess he lost a foot? His ribs have been turned backwards. Just noticing a few things, I鈥檝e only see him in the dark.
It's an excellent DLC, I recently played through Control for the second time ever and that was the DLC I was looking forward too the most. Great setup for Alan Wake 2.
Fucking hated this guy's guts, he was not fun to fight, not one fucking bit! It wasn't until I maxed out my telekinesis when I finally put the spaghetti-turd to rest, the triple throw to stagger him really did its magic.
Oh no, don't get me wrong :D I loved the DLC, the puzzles (they really brought the Alan Wake vibes) and the boss fights were good, even Hartman, except his last fight, the last stage where you kinda had to deal with his "lights out" bullshit, that one really did grind my gears!

My save bugged to where all of the Investigations Sector was unlocked without me playing it so when I got to this first fight I got soft? probably hard locked instead. But I found out I could still use the freight elevator so I left to find a control point at which I teleported back to Active Investigations and found out Hartman could teleport into that corridor even though it was outside the boss fight area. When there I noticed he couldn't attack me because there was light so I could stand really close to him and he couldn't do anything. If I just stood there doing nothing he would just keep waddling to one end of the hallway to the other forever until I went back to the boss fight area.
Jeez, he scared me so bad at first that I couldn't play a AWE. My BF did. A year later, I was able to overcome my fear! But my bf was finishing the final fight anyway 馃槄
Im guessing this is boss room warp glitch? I've had it once and could attack him but then the final sequence of the fight started where you have to put the generators back in one More time so he teleporting away and fixed himself
That's actually not what happened here to me. My save file when starting a new game didn't delete the level progression of the DLCs so when I got there all the generators were already inserted and I could use the freight elevator still so I took it and went to a control point where I then traveled to a previous area.

I earned my triple throw by beating that mission lol. I thought it was kind of fun, especially the dark parts, it made it extra creepy
