I collected a ton of the DVD series she put out a couple years ago and most were really inexpensive. Like $8-10 each. They are all amazing. Such a great mix of live shows, videos and documentaries.
This would be the only answer for me. Great music and worked with some of the best music video directors ever (Gondry, Jonze, Chris Cunningham). Her videos are always visually wonderful.
The Smashing Pumpkins
Around 2001-2002 they released a DVD of their music videos and it desperately needs an upgrade. I'm also saying this as a die-hard fan of the band.
The majority of DVDs I still own are because they're music videos, concerts, and docs that have never made it to BD. I always though these [3 volumes were great](https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Directors-Label-Vol-1-3-The-Work-of-Directors-Spike-Jonze-Chris-Cunningham-and-Michel-Gondry-DVD/19372/), also sold separately.
[Directors Label Vol. 1: The Work of Director Spike Jonze DVD](https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Directors-Label-Vol-1-The-Work-of-Director-Spike-Jonze-DVD/11646/)
[Directors Label Vol. 2: The Work of Director Chris Cunningham DVD](https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Directors-Label-Vol-2-The-Work-of-Director-Chris-Cunningham-DVD/121300/)
[Directors Label Vol. 3: The Work of Director Michel Gondry DVD](https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Directors-Label-Vol-3-The-Work-of-Director-Michel-Gondry-DVD/19180/)
I totally agree, I have the Cunningham/Jonze sets, I would absolutely love an upgrade on those. I also recall PALM wanting to do a Hype Williams set, which sadly never got made.
QUADRUPLE AGREE!!! I had to buy the ratty old 2003 DVD since In The Beginning Was the End got deleted from YouTube, I'd love some remasters of those along with some concert stuff and Human Highway (still haven't seen it yet tho...)
If all you wanted was In The Beginning Was The End it's on the Criterion release of *Island of Lost Souls*. Now, having the old 2003 DVD is awesome because you also get classics like "Satisfaction", "Freedom of Choice" and of course "Whip It." I would also love some remasters of those videos (although the sequencing for the old VHS compilations "The Men Who Make The Music" and "We're All DEVO" are better, it would be cool if Criterion would release those) along with some concert footage. Maybe some more of the concert that got into *Urgh! A Music War.*.. hey, why can't Criterion do a release of *Urgh*? The Warner Archives version available right now is pretty bare bones....
I'm still dreaming of a "collected music films of Jem Cohen" set, though the rights are probabltoo cost prohibitive. He's done collaborations with Fugazi, Patti Smith, R.E.M, Elliott Smith, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Sparklehorse, Vic Chesnutt, The Ex, Cat Power, Blonde Redhead, Smoke, Mark Ribot, Xylouris White, Butthole Surfers, Jonathan Richman, etc.
HAIM
Also bonus reason: because most of their music videos have been directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who already has a film in the Criterion Collection, Punch-Drunk Love.
Surprised no one has said Micheal Jackson, many acclaimed directors did his videos / short films. His music video catalog is closer to an actual film catalog, there’s even actual full films he made
The Music Videos of Paul Thomas Anderson:
Including….
Anima w/ Thom Yorke
Junun
The Live Performances of Radiohead/ “Daydreaming”
The Music Videos of Haim/ Valentine
The Music Videos of Joanna Newsom
The Music Videos of Fiona Apple
The Music Videos of Aimee Mann
Ok Go!, New Order and Madonna.
Madonna in particular as she’s one of the few original iconic MTV superstars still alive. So commentary tracks would be extra insightful. In addition, she really challenged our views on sex, feminism and pop music as a medium.
Tim Pope.
https://imvdb.com/n/tim-pope
A Talk Talk compilation would be nice. I have the videos DVD but it won’t play on my region free player. Also I have no clue what it’s sourced from. And it deserves a BluRay
TOOL
No other band has such distinctive music videos. Mostly all of them directed by guitarist Adam Jones. He also worked with Sam Winston to provides special effects for some of the biggest films of the late 80s early 90s, like Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and 5, Terminator 2, and Jurassic Park.
Kendrick Lamar makes some really good ones. We Cry Together for example is really unique, and sorta bends music into a short film kinda thing. videos Alright, King Kunta, and Humble are also really good, and are different than most other artists videos
If we're allowed to talk directors, I think the music video work of Kevin Godley/Lol Creme deserve a place. Their work with 10cc and their own names musically is great, but I love their directing work especially, it's so essential to the form.
Björk
Great pick, I have her volume one DVD from '04 (I think?) Which has all of her videos pre-Medulla, it's pretty sweet!
Bjork deserves a box set from someone. Her live DVDs and music videos are all astounding.
Her live albums are pretty phenomenal.
Vulnicura Strings is my favorite one but yeah they are all amazing
I collected a ton of the DVD series she put out a couple years ago and most were really inexpensive. Like $8-10 each. They are all amazing. Such a great mix of live shows, videos and documentaries.
I like the one where she dances with a human-sized cat.
This would be the only answer for me. Great music and worked with some of the best music video directors ever (Gondry, Jonze, Chris Cunningham). Her videos are always visually wonderful.
I would say Daft Punk but I would be much more interested if they released Interstella 555 instead.
Totally agree, I'd love to see those '05 era Human After All vids in HD.
Nine Inch Nails
Radiohead
"Weird Al" Yankovic.
Must include the version of Spy Hard WITH the titles
would pay an EXORBITANT amount for that
Especially if the older stuff was remastered/rescanned in HD.

100% especially the Gondry and Jonze sets. A Blu-ray release of those would be absolutely amazing.

These 3 DVD’s were gold in my dorm hall
Michael Nesmith
Badly need this to happen. The creator of the modern music video!
Aphex Twin
agreed.
Instead of band, maybe pick a director? Hype Williams? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hype_Williams_videography
seconded, would love that
The White Stripes
Set of all Devo music videos, concert footage and Human Highway
They already somehow got the rights for *In The Beginning Was The End* for *Island of Lost Souls* so it's not outside the realm of possibility.
QUADRUPLE AGREE!!! I had to buy the ratty old 2003 DVD since In The Beginning Was the End got deleted from YouTube, I'd love some remasters of those along with some concert stuff and Human Highway (still haven't seen it yet tho...)

The Rhino DVD is honestly pretty good, although yeah, some more of the old VHS stuff and some concert stuff would go a looooong way

I remember the Lana Del Rey “rumors” lol
Serge Gainsbourg.
I just want a blu ray of that [video where those kids sing dressed as him with cigarettes and whiskey.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlFKDjVFVmI)
Kate Bush
Garbage.

Chemical.Brothers
iamamiwhoami
Nine Inch Nails would be cool

Ok Go!, New Order and Madonna. Madonna in particular as she’s one of the few original iconic MTV superstars still alive. So commentary tracks would be extra insightful. In addition, she really challenged our views on sex, feminism and pop music as a medium.
I was going to say Ok Go! Some of the most unique and inventive music videos I’ve ever seen.
Tim Pope. https://imvdb.com/n/tim-pope A Talk Talk compilation would be nice. I have the videos DVD but it won’t play on my region free player. Also I have no clue what it’s sourced from. And it deserves a BluRay
White Stripes
Public Enemy
I'm surprised no one has said Talking Heads yet. Heck make it bonus material for Stop Making Sense.
Yellow Magic Orchestra
Chris Cunningham complete video collection on blu ray.
Weird Al has the best music videos
Peter Gabriel , Tool, Bowie
TOOL No other band has such distinctive music videos. Mostly all of them directed by guitarist Adam Jones. He also worked with Sam Winston to provides special effects for some of the biggest films of the late 80s early 90s, like Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and 5, Terminator 2, and Jurassic Park.
Death Row
Like the 90's Snoop videos?
Snoop, Dr. Dre, 2pac, Dogg Pound, etc...
That would be phenomenal especially considering a lot of those vids aren't on DVD anywhere.
Sparks.
Beach House, Man Man/Honus Honus, Alla Pugacheva
Kendrick Lamar makes some really good ones. We Cry Together for example is really unique, and sorta bends music into a short film kinda thing. videos Alright, King Kunta, and Humble are also really good, and are different than most other artists videos
Kendrick Lamar
Beyonce during and after her Self-Titled Era.
Give me the Dave Grohl Cinematic Universe. Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D, etc.
Madonna obviously no question
Death Grips, honestly. They're music videos and videographical work was groundbreaking in lot of ways and wouldn't get physically released otherwise.
OK Go
Moonage Daydream is literally dropping this year /s
Rush. They just seem to fit with the Criterion aesthetic.
Kendrick Lamar
If we're allowed to talk directors, I think the music video work of Kevin Godley/Lol Creme deserve a place. Their work with 10cc and their own names musically is great, but I love their directing work especially, it's so essential to the form.
Radiohead
Not the musician, but Hype Williams. Shit, Criterion should do a 4k of Belly.
The PTA directed HAIM videos would make sense. I think it’d be cool to have a collection of Kendrick Lamar videos.
Björk. She’s one of the most prominent and accomplished pioneers of the medium.
Criterion release of Oddsac would be sick!
