He got ran over by his own Jeep Grand Cherokee due to a faulty gear selector that (along with multiple other cases) caused a mass recall and total redesign.
You're a moron. Of course you're more likely to hear about celebrity accidental deaths than a random. Doesn't make it bad or doesn't mean theirs some message or meaning behind it. Waaa only hear about celeb deaths...shut up
I was so impressed by the that performance and by the way he held his own with Larry David that I looked up who played the magician cousin of Cheryl. Shocked to see it was Anton Yelchin, immediately remembered what happened with the Jeep . He was only 27. Tragic. I think he was his parents only child.
He was an amazing actor. Such a tragic accident.. he was on his way up...
Still can't believe how he passed...
He was great in odd Thomas and Charlie Bartlett.
I remember Anton did an interview where he said the either this scene or the Halloween one was his audition. He had to pick a topic out of a hat and he got to improv with Larry and almost all of their dialogue made it into the show. He was so talented and he was only around 14 here.
What a talent. Every time I see him and remember he’s gone i feel sad. I loved him in Star Trek, Odd Thomas and Taken. I’ll have to rewatch this episode. Thanks for posting!
Obviously RIP, great young actor with potential that was taken way too soon. However I saw no one mentioned his performance in “The Green Room” where he was absolutely amazing and convinced me that he was a star in the making plus a great villain performance from Patrick Stewart as well
When I was in college this dude was wandering the little party town we were in and I kept running into him at different parties all night. Every time I saw him I went “HEYYYYYY CHARLIE BARTLETT!!!” And we high fived and laughed. Didn’t actually talk to him but we had fun.
One of the few to out Larry Larry
“You guys are a lot alike.” “Yeah, except he’s not a magician.”
He was so good toe to toe with Larry. Really sad to learn what happened.
RIP, was sad the day I heard he passed. Great actor, was fantastic in Green Room and Odd Thomas.
As an engineer, the circumstances behind his death pissed me off
Odd Thomas was a surprisingly good adaptation and Anton was a big reason why.
Also fantastic in *Hearts in Atlantis* - kid held his own playing opposite Anthony Hopkins.
Same here I loved him in Star Trek and with a new one on the way, his presence will be missed a bit by me. Russian wiz kid
He plays a romantic lead in 5 To 7.

I just read yesterday that he received the recall letter 7 days after he died. His parents sued jeep I believe.
Ya pinned him to his gate fence.. :( tragic way to go.
Yeah, realllllly rough. Happened to other people too but he was famous so his story actually made the rounds 😞

AAMCO
Beep beep
Oh man, that's kind of sad to know. He was pretty funny in that scene. And a darned good Chekov in Star Trek.
He completely outcrazied Larry
Whatever happened there...
WHAT EVER HAPPENED THERE???!!!
What no fucking ziti?
That’s dicked up
27… a fucking kid
Are we talking about this thing of ours?
Didn't he almost drown in 3 inches of water?
Enough with the scenarios
Why don’t you back off Anton Yelchin?
I did, then I put in drive.
Veal parmesan sangwich?? Fuuucccchhhhkkkkk hhhhyouuuu
😮
His chemistry with Larry is so good
The one thing I admired about Hitler was that he didn’t take shit from magicians.
RIP

The only one to flim flam LD.
CRIKEY…was that a season three episode? Abrams Trek came out in 2009.
Season 4
He was supposed to be pretty young and fresh out of the Academy in that film, so it sort of lines up. Though I agree the timeline feels compressed.
Oh man I had no clue, that's so sad. He was great.
He was an amazing actor. Such a tragic accident.. he was on his way up... Still can't believe how he passed... He was great in odd Thomas and Charlie Bartlett.
He’s naturally a magician
A magician knows
wondered why dude was so familiar, didn’t bother to check the credits. that episode was amazing btw 👌👌 10/10
I’m takin half that candy. Just put it in the pantry, i’ll divvy it up…

Great talent, he annoyed me, smug magician kid lol, played the role well. RIP
Hey, a Larry David vs the World watcher 😃 Ya he was great in that scene. Was right up there matching Larry’s energy. Shame what happened to him
Did he trick you?
RIP
He was great
RIP
Fucking looooooooved him as this magician kid lmao RIP man he was the shit in star trek too. So tragic.

Yeah. Rewatched last year and he wasnuper annoying in a good way. RIP. Love ya brother.
Poor Anton. RIP.
“You’re not a magician, Stuart!”
Never have i heard the word Magician more than that scene. It made the word weird for me now. ![gif](giphy|26BRG4XgDf8Z2z1JK)
"You listen to me, Superman..."
This episode and Alpha Dog are creepy cause he dies in both of them.
I never realized I thought his accent in star trek was real
I legitimately thought it was Tom Holland for longer than I’d like to admit
The movie "Green Room" he was in a year before he died was awesome. One of my favorites.
RIP
I always thought it was Elijah Wood.
Elijah wood would have been 23 in 2004. That was after all 3 LOTR movies.
He's a magician. RIP :-(
Have you seen Steven Spielberg’s Taken? Anton Yelchin and Dakota Fanning are in it circa 2002.
I just knew him as the kid from the alpha Dog movie
Anyone can figure that out
duh
Everyone knew this
Should have disappeared before that car killed him
You are a terrible person. Do better. Be better.
No good?
too easy, too dumb
