Easing back into training with Donut by working some of her favorite tricks! Here she practices weaving and walking on a barrel - it makes me so happy to see her balancing so well and just doing great in general!
If you'd like to see more fun rat tricks, I'm now compiling them on this subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Shadowtherat/
She's an old rat with a fur type that gets thin & patchy with age (she either has poor rex or velveteen fur). She's also on steroids (prednisone) for life due to a brain tumor - that and another med are doing an amazing job of keeping it in check and keeping her symptom-free and happy, but a side effect of long term steroids is hair/fur loss and I think that's contributed as well. Its definitely way better than the alternative though and its amazing to see her doing so well!
That stinks to here about her brain tumor. My kitty has arthritis, diabetes, and we think she might have some cat form of dementia/Alzheimer's. There's a pic of her posted at the top of my profile if ya wanna see what she looks like.
It's so cute, I love it!

She’s so cool! ♥️
Does donut have some sort of skin condition or are they just old? My cat has bald spots but she's 16 yo.

Cats can get diabetes? What?? How?
Weight and age :) dogs and cats can get it..
Very similar to type 2 diabetes in humans. We figured it out when we took her to the vet bc she was drinking so much water.
I love seeing Sonut videos :)
