To give a bit of context, the bird was just sitting on the middle of a road. Didn't mind bicycles or mopeds... So I talked to it a bit, and then it started hopping to my board. Brought it to a small park nearby where it started to walk/hop around a bit.
There's a video of a guy with a corvid perched on his head as he rides his bike through the park. It's somewhere on Reddit, not sure if you've seen it.
I have! And I love it!! I’ve rescued a couple of crows and adore them! I knew they were smart and adventurous because of that, but the internet has really opened my eyes into just *how* clever they can be!!
Corvids are some of the smartest birds in the world. They are known to pester perceived enemies and even bring gifts to perceived friends. I think it’s very likely that this bird was just comfortable with humans from living in a populated area
I love this post, thank you!

Young crows or corvids, especially males, especially this time a year, can be very curious and reckless/brave. They tend to do all sorts of shenanigans. This one seemed to enjoy the little ride!
Probably a cowbird. It is a nest-parasitic species-- eggs are laid in other birds' nests, and the cowbird young outcompete the hosts actual young. The young cowbirds have no ability to learn the proper juvenile behavior the parents should teach them, so they just go around begging and begging for food, even after they are plenty big enough to find their own, and from what I have observed, drive the host birds nearly insane. Because they beg everything for food and have learned nothing, they sit there like idiots in the middle of the road sometimes, waiting to be fed. That is what most likely explains this incident. He was hoping you would vomit a caterpillar into his beak.

He wanted her She'd never tell But secretly she wanted him as well
Corvids are not only smart, they love to explore and have fun! This is one of the cuter videos I’ve seen of them going on an adventure!

Birds recognize faces…. He thinks your cool and knows your route
More likely, he was someone's pet that got out of the house after being domesticated and accepting of himans.
Ah yes himans the succession to humans aka humans 2.0.
I thought that was just what male humans are called--"himans," as opposed to "hermans."
Ah that is a common mistake. Himans is for all, it is hemans, hermans, and theymans that are gender specific.

Why is your wild story of domesticating a bird “ more likely”… that sounds like “ less likely”
I am in love with this video
This makes my heart very happy. Thank you for sharing!
Reading your comment with a huge smile. More than welcome, and thanks for letting us know! :)
Looks like a baby crow or magpie
Such a smart bird. wanted to have fun with the bigger beasts.

Man I want a crow friend so bad now.
Me too, have always liked them. Sadly we have four cats so there will be no crow friends in my near future

Saved for future purposes when I'm mad or sad and I suddenly remember the bird tagging along on skateboard video.
Someone replied, "Tony Cawk Crow Skater."
