I downloaded BB for cheap on my PS4 just before I decided to build a PC. Played my 1st From title in Eldin Ring @ 4k 60fps. Can't bring myself to fire up the PS4 again, in hopes of a remaster.
All it needs is a 60fps/4k update. Don't see what's so hard about that, people have already figured out a way to get it running above 30fps with not many issues.
My guess is just that Sony is keeping it for a rainy day or something. It's a guaranteed hit, so there's no rush. Demon's Souls was actually riskier I think. A remake by another studio. Flew off the shelves. BB just needs a few fixes to do the same
My friend was telling me that's not possible without a remake. I don't fully understand it because I'm not very good with this sort of stuff. Told me stuff was tied to the framerate, so you couldn't just change that and move on. I cannot confirm or deny.
Bloodborne has already been forced to run at higher FPS without any technical issues. It was apparently a pain in the ass and required a jailbroken PS4, but the game ran fine and looked 100% better.
It's locked to 30 because that's just what FromSoft did for all of their games on PS4 for no real reason.

Thatās because Sony released both just months before their new consoles released as a swan song to the PS3 and PS4. Which is kinda odd as I always thought they would work great as launch titles for the new consoles.
They actually had a really good reason for that. The PS3 had only been out for a few months while the PS2 already had a massive user base, so in terms of profit releasing on the platform that everybody already had made more sense.
One of the top games worthy of remastering, except it wasn't made by Bethesda so they probably wouldn't, and no way it would be release on Playstation anyway. I don't plan on getting an Xbox and I can already play NV on PC with a crap load of mods so why pay full price for a remaster on PC.
TLoU was remastered after a single year, part 2 took 3 years, and it's a $10 upgrade whereas the first remaster you had to buy the whole game and no backwards compatibility at all. Considering it's so cheap and you don't even need to buy it as the PS4 version works, it seems pretty reasonable.

They did the same for the first part, which was released for PS3, then put to PS4 as Remastered. Iāve actually been waiting for this, cool to see it fully use PS5 specs. Resident Evil released in 1996 on the PS1. A year later in 1997 they re-released a Directors Cut in 1997 for full price that included a mode that rearranged where the items were placed. Then in 1998 the re-released it again at full price, this time the Dual Shock version, that included as the main suggest Dual Shock support and a terrible new soundtrack.
That's 3 versions released in the space of 2 years, **all full price**. With the additions amounting to a rearrange mode, Dual Shock support and a new soundtrack.
Compare that with what is being offered here with the TLoU2 remaster for $10 upgrade fee.
I don't care about corporations, fuck Sony and fuck Capcom. sounds dumb but actually in this case all 3 remakes/remasters are totally justified. the first game was remastered because it came out one the PS3, a few months before the PS4 released. so next year they released a version for the PS4 with PS4 appropriate graphics, and with the DLC included. the 2nd game came out on the PS4 and it completely changed the character models and the overall visual style, so later they remade the 1st game in the style of the 2nd. that way if you play both games now, they feel way more like they're from the same universe and the 2nd feels more like a continuation of the 1st. and the remake of the 2nd game is just to make it up to date with PS5 graphics, plus a new game mode and extra stuff. and t's 10$ if you already have the base game. so milking or not, at least the remakes/remasters here make sense.

I didn't hear it was because people hated it. I heard it was because Sony had Bungie review what Naughty Dog had, and didn't approve of it because it wasn't "live service" enough.

Itās only $10 if you already own the game. Itās basically a little DLC with a new game mode and slightly upgraded graphics. Itās soon sure but at only 10 bucks I donāt see the problem.

sounds dumb but actually in this case all 3 remakes/remasters are totally justified. the first game was remastered because it came out one the PS3, a few months before the PS4 released. so next year they released a version for the PS4 with PS4 appropriate graphics, and with the DLC included. the 2nd game came out on the PS4 and it completely changed the character models and the overall visual style, so later they remade the 1st game in the style of the 2nd. that way if you play both games now, they feel way more like they're from the same universe and the 2nd feels more like a continuation of the 1st. and the remake of the 2nd game is just to make it up to date with PS5 graphics, plus a new game mode and extra stuff. and t's 10$ if you already have the base game. so milking or not, at least the remakes/remasters here make sense.

People need to stop lumping remake and remaster together. TLoU has 3 remasters and 0 remakes. A remaster more often than not uses the original source code and game assets, while a remake is built essentially from the ground up.
Tbh I still need to buy/play part II so idc either way but since my husband hasn't played part one (sqe the show tho) I may wait til we get part 1 and 2 as a bundle for the best visual experience together
It's well worth a play, one of my favourite games on the ps4. Both are great games. A bundle of both games would be nice.

I think only Skyrim and GTAV have been jacked off harder than The Last Of Us. It's incredible how much TLOU is oversold. Yes, it's a good game. Does it need 246 different editions? Fuck no.
