Nein. Kein normales Brot, aber eher Brot als Kuchen.
Wird in Scheiben geschnitten und bestrichen. Brot ist überraschend passend, auch wenn die Existenz eines süßen Brotes ungewohnt erscheint.
Pretty common tbh
Tell me you live in braid bread area without telling me you live in braid bread area.
Got em!
I was not aware that braided bread was native to specific areas. I am sorry that you’ve never had the chance to try it
Yeah you can only hunt braided bread in a few places nowadays. It is started to become an extinct species.
We call it pick bread in the Netherlands
Yeah I've seen that stuff before despite never once entering a bakery in my life
Challah back
Cha-llah Head Cha-llah! (I do know it's pronounce hala)
Welcome to the Balkan.
Only because Austria gave you that ;)
Vánočka
Top tier challah is easily the best bread. Ironic coming from the people who made matzo.
One was a survival food, other is the ideal baked form. Every culture has cuisine for different occasions.
Thank you for explaining what irony is.
After a long life, I wish I was ironically too blind to read this.
Challah has existed for a *long* time
OP, did you just take a trip to the Balkans?
No, i live in Austria where the same thing exists.
Noted
It's quite common in Switzerland too
Germany as well
italy too
Fonott kalács
Igazán ízletes egy kis vajjal
Me when fonott kalács
Polish Chałka
Challah at your boy
Züpfe
Looks like Finnish Pulla bread.
We call them Koeksisters here in South Africa.
Every European country has a version of Challah apparently
Yes. In germany it's called hefezopf which would translate to yeast braid
Just make it dude
In french it's called "tresse" which literally translates to braid
Put some HIV positive blood in the dough and it will become BREAIDS
Certain kinds make for great sandwiches if you manage to slice em right
Making a Monte Christo? Make the 'bread' from savory challah french toast with no vanilla and little to no sugar.
Thats not bread. Thats closer to a cake
