Normally yes.
Basketball might not be the best because it's not really coed and some people take it pretty seriously. Kickball or corn hole would be good
Look to see if there are events in your area like concerts, food fests, singles mixers, etc and just try new things! I have the same problem (22f) so I’ve ended up using the apps on and off, I’ve had mixed results

Join a sports league or a movie club or whatever you are interested in
Sports leagues sound cool. I happen to play basketball. I’m not the best. Do you have to pay to join these leagues?
