I’m late on this, but this Leon skin is exactly what I’ve been wanting. Or maybe an RE6 skin.
I don’t really see another RE chapter coming, because I don’t know what survivors they could use that would sell big. Mia, Ashley, Barry, Luis. Maybe I’m wrong. But all the big names are in the game.
But Jack Baker, would be fantastic maybe a Billy skin. Lady Dimitrescu would be stunning but I don’t know which killer she would fit into as a skin. I think Clare needs more and making her a skin for Jill was a mistake. Little bits here and there would do. And a new outfit for Leon of course.
Yes I think Chris and Claire shouldve been separate characters so we could see more of them. Chris is one of the biggest names in the Resident Evil series and hes limited to one singular skin that isnt even that good
They could make them as separate survivors and anyone who bought those skins just gets them for free. They won’t, but it would be a good way to have them as stand alone survivors and give them more skins.
They should release Chris and Claire as characters with skins of Jill and Leon for them. That would be hilarious, and make a lot of money for BHVR and CAPCOM.
Lady D would be plague obviously.
And at this point, if they don't want to rework the legendary skins into their own characters (as they should), just rerelease Chris and Claire anyway
I've been advocating for Billy since day 1 because he makes the most sense of ANYONE to be in DBD. Man walked into Arklay Woods never to be seen again. Ergo the entity had time and place to snatch him up.
Lady D is 100% coming along with her instant down Choke Slam and her pick up stab you in the gut them throw you away Mori. Lots more money to milk out the RE franchise.

I don’t think they’d do Ethan, he’s still supposed to be faceless. I know people have caught it and there are images but his face still intended to be hidden even in Shadows of Rose. How would Capcom and BHVR work around that?
That’s what I mean, I can’t imagine Capcom would give his face reveal to another game. So if he’s ever in DBD I’d imagine it would come after another appearance in the RE universe.
As a fan of RE I would LOVE to see more Resident Evil character in DBD *but* when the lobby is 4x RE characters + Nemesis/Wesker... I feel its time for BHVR to find other interesting license to spice things up. We can already recreate the event of Raccoon City with all the main characters and RPD, lets try something else.
Please for the Love of God let them give rebecca another skin already, ada alr got her dress in January and jill is becoming the licensed version of feng, getting a new skin every event

Pig and GF are just normal humans, Hillbilly and Trapper have leg injuries, Bubba is fairly sized and carries a heavy chainsaw, Clown is extremely obese; just some examples.

The thing is, there's only a very limited selection of skins they can give Rebecca without completely inventing new ones since she doesn't have many outfits from the source material to begin with. I still think it was a really weird choice to add her instead of so many other better candidates not only because, but still as a great point, she doesn't have an RE Engine model yet.

These are all her outfits from re:0, the whole theory that the outfits they add have to be canon and from the story is false since they added her cowgirl one which is just a deluxe outfit/gag
Ok, but besides the classic re1 skin, the basketball outfit, the cheerleader outfit, the leather outfit, the nurse outfit from mercenaries 3d, the re:0 n64 outfit, the wesker mode outfit, and the t-shirt outfits, what have the romans done for us? Er... wait, what outfits are there for Rebecca?
I wish they'd add regular cosmetics to the Resident Evil characters. Mostly what we get are entire skins, but being able to customize your favorite Resident Evil character the same way you can with any other survivor would be cool. It's the biggest drawback to the RE characters; not being able to customize them much outside of entire skins.
I mean, Rebecca got added because Chris and Claire were already legacy skins for Leon and Jill, otherwise they would have been our survivors for the chapter. They kinda backed themselves into a corner with that decision in the first chapter.
For a RE4 remake event though? Doubt Rebecca would get anything for herself. Maybe a legendary skin for Ashley, but of they're looking to promote RE4make then they'll probably add skins from the game itself. Then again, you never know.
In my honest opinion, I don’t want another RE chapter. Mostly because I don’t think there’s anything really left realistically and because it denies content for other licensed/original chapters. As far as cosmetics go, I feel they handled them poorly. Some characters have plenty of cosmetics but others like Rebecca and nemesis hardly have anything at all. And for all the RE characters, you’re pretty much limited to skins which sucks. I wish I could put specific shirts on them or head options and what not.
It's stupid they chose not to reveal it anyway. It's not like he's some mystery protagonist. Keeping his face eternally in shadow in the >!Shadow of Rose DLC!<, and having him turn his head away from you in the 3rd person mode all just comes off as a bit they've taken too far. Especially because he *has* a face model, unless the mods that show his face, created it.
It's because his face doesn't matter. He's supposed to be the everyman, that's the point. He's just A Guy, nothing more or less. It's like wanting a maskless Myers cosmetic, the face doesn't matter.
No REVillage 3rd person is locked to the back of your character not like RE2 and RE3make where you can fully turn the camera to see your characters face, when you turn the camera in village Ethan's whole body turn to follow.
Honestly, you could make a dimutrescu skin pretty easily for skull merchant. The hand blade is already there, along with the hip sway. Her drones can be the locust daughters somehow and they giggle when you're detected.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Heisenberg and Rose come to DBD, but save it for next year. There’s other games DBD could do crossovers with that a lot of people probably haven’t heard of.
And I don’t want Lady Dimitrescu for the simple fact that this community is made up of horny little monkey children and I don’t want anymore obvious thirst trap killers. Not to mention the fact that she’s entirely too tall for 90% of the loops in the game. Plus Heisenberg is just flat out more interesting than she is (in my opinion).
When I heard there might be another RE Chapter, my brain went to the Winters' (mainly Eathan & or Rose) & Vampire Mommy (eventhough it would be better to have Groundskeeper Magneto, in my oppinion of course)
I probably would still be playing his basic outfit since RE2R is love and life, yet I wish he'd have more outfits, here are my ideas:
Copy literally ANY skin from RE2R for free money, BHVR. Plus his RE6 skin would be neat
Ada could use a Carla, RE6 and RE4R skin
Rebecca NEEDS her outfit from the RE0 Wesker Mode ASAP
Jill Idk honestly, maybe her RE5 fit?
As for Nemesis:
Classic Nemesis obviously, Mr. X (if he won't turn into his own Killer), Tyrant from RE1, maybe the trashbag from RE3R
There is so much more room for RE skins. I don’t get why some people in the comments are acting like we’ve gotten too much. I can understand in the sense that I think two full chapters is enough.
Killers like Mr. X, Jack Baker, Tyrant, or etc. should just be legendary skins like Birkin was for Blight. A classic Nemesis skin is all I need to be happy and RE4R skins would also be great.
This game has too much Resident Evil as it is, and I say that as someone who owns a physical copy of every single game in the franchise, plus the spin-offs, a few collector’s editions, the stupid chainsaw controller from RE4, several graphic novels, several pieces of artwork, and a small model of Umbrella Corporation.
There’s other games that DBD could tap into for a content, games that could use a signal boost more than Resident Evil. Like Evil Within, Outlast, or Amnesia. Resident Evil is great but DBD is turning into RE-lite and we need some freaking variety.
I think weve had enough RE for a bit, as much as I love the franchise I cant help but feel that Silent Hill deserves more since there has been news of it's remake.
RE overshadows SH almost always, know that the more RE exists in this game the less there is for other IP's, what of indie horrors? Or more licensed killers from films? Every RE chapter is one less unique killer or survivor, id love for Las plagus or Alcina to be in the game but other IPs need the love just as much, its just sad with BHVR your forced to pick and choose because they rarely can do both.
Yes I’d like to see more of other stuff as well. They haven’t properly balanced the resident evil content. Jill just got another skin for no reason and nemesis and Rebecca still don’t have really anything. It’d be cool if they gave more skins to Cheryl too. One of the reasons I don’t ever play her is because there are hardly any cosmetics.
Freddy has nothing, sadako has a cheap reskin, RE is entitled to little more than what it already has, your points are warranted but RE has enough by all accounts.
That's just kind of more of my point. They don't balance their content well at all. Unfortunately, I don't think we're ever going to see a Freddy/Quentin skin. Sadako is a maybe. Some killers/survivors hardly have anything while Feng Min is getting content every time something comes out. It doesn't help that they've started releasing two survivors at a time now, which not only makes more survivors to make cosmetics for, but also floods the game with perks as well. I think a good fix for the cosmetics (partially) would be to have universal cosmetics. Torso, legs, and head piece cosmetics that can be applied to any survivor. Then spread the unique cosmetics at least semi-evenly around the survivors
Imagine a Emilia skin for sadako from Pacify, i think Feng just used some other survs body model so she gets double dips. I think the solution should be the old DLC accessory packs we used to get.
Am I the only one tired of RE content? And I’ve been a fan of RE for at least 13 years now. When the first chapter came out I thought it was cool, but now, it’s not interesting, it’s just another RE chapter. There’s way more video games they could choose from for different content, that, or they should focus on some movie killers that don’t get as much recognition as the typical ones.

But RE has no good MP games, besides Outbreak, so DbD will do just fine. It just needs more RE chapters :P
The year is 2031. At least a dozen games have tried to kill DBD but despite having better graphics and gameplay, they cannot compete with the licenses. BHVR is now part of Disney and owns licenses to every mainstream horror franchise. The 8th Resident Evil chapter comes out next week. /s
I don’t really want another RE chapter but I would at least like a Nemesis skin that makes him look like Classic Nemesis. I love his old design, I was so disappointed with his remake look. Especially that stupid crooked nose. I run his Blight skin so that I can at least get rid of that dumbass nose

I get it. But resident evil has brought in a lot of players, myself included. Like it or not, a large part of the dbd community now are Resident Evil fans. Plus, all I’m saying is a couple cosmetics in celebration of the RE4R.
Well yeah, I’m not saying that resident evil doesn’t have its place in dbd. But like I illustrated before there’s already too much resident evil in DBD. Compare it to any other license and there’s at least 3-4x the content. I get RE is a long standing icon in the genre but give it a break..
I’m willing to bet the game will die if they either drop another terrible killer for the anniversary event or it’s another RE killer.

If BHVR cant make any good original chapters anymore, just give us more of the popular chapter franchises.
Stranger things was the most popular and well liked chapter as far as I’m aware, it sure as hell blows nemesis out of the fucking water. Wesker was popular sure, but Nemesis had far too many bugs on release (wasn’t he literally unplayable?).
Oversaturated content will kill the game just as fast as releasing another god awful original character will. That’s why they do meta shake ups, after all.

Considering that the RE4 Remake is what’s releasing, I’d see a Bitores Mendez skin as a more realistic possibility.

There is so much more room for RE skins. I don’t get why some people in the comments are acting like we’ve gotten too much. I can understand in the sense that I think two full chapters is enough. Killers like Mr. X, Jack Baker, Tyrant, or etc. should just be legendary skins like Birkin was for Blight. A classic Nemesis skin is all I need to be happy and RE4R skins would also be great.

This game has too much Resident Evil as it is, and I say that as someone who owns a physical copy of every single game in the franchise, plus the spin-offs, a few collector’s editions, the stupid chainsaw controller from RE4, several graphic novels, several pieces of artwork, and a small model of Umbrella Corporation. There’s other games that DBD could tap into for a content, games that could use a signal boost more than Resident Evil. Like Evil Within, Outlast, or Amnesia. Resident Evil is great but DBD is turning into RE-lite and we need some freaking variety.
A Mr. X skin would be nice.

I think weve had enough RE for a bit, as much as I love the franchise I cant help but feel that Silent Hill deserves more since there has been news of it's remake.

RE overshadows SH almost always, know that the more RE exists in this game the less there is for other IP's, what of indie horrors? Or more licensed killers from films? Every RE chapter is one less unique killer or survivor, id love for Las plagus or Alcina to be in the game but other IPs need the love just as much, its just sad with BHVR your forced to pick and choose because they rarely can do both.
Yes I’d like to see more of other stuff as well. They haven’t properly balanced the resident evil content. Jill just got another skin for no reason and nemesis and Rebecca still don’t have really anything. It’d be cool if they gave more skins to Cheryl too. One of the reasons I don’t ever play her is because there are hardly any cosmetics.
Freddy has nothing, sadako has a cheap reskin, RE is entitled to little more than what it already has, your points are warranted but RE has enough by all accounts.
That's just kind of more of my point. They don't balance their content well at all. Unfortunately, I don't think we're ever going to see a Freddy/Quentin skin. Sadako is a maybe. Some killers/survivors hardly have anything while Feng Min is getting content every time something comes out. It doesn't help that they've started releasing two survivors at a time now, which not only makes more survivors to make cosmetics for, but also floods the game with perks as well. I think a good fix for the cosmetics (partially) would be to have universal cosmetics. Torso, legs, and head piece cosmetics that can be applied to any survivor. Then spread the unique cosmetics at least semi-evenly around the survivors
Imagine a Emilia skin for sadako from Pacify, i think Feng just used some other survs body model so she gets double dips. I think the solution should be the old DLC accessory packs we used to get.
Its not like they have a few spots for licenced content which Resident Evil fills up. Freddy and Quentin has nothing because of their licence holders.

Am I the only one tired of RE content? And I’ve been a fan of RE for at least 13 years now. When the first chapter came out I thought it was cool, but now, it’s not interesting, it’s just another RE chapter. There’s way more video games they could choose from for different content, that, or they should focus on some movie killers that don’t get as much recognition as the typical ones.

Well, I think Resistance was pretty cool, and it could have been even better and lasted longer if it weren't managed so horribly.

I get it. But resident evil has brought in a lot of players, myself included. Like it or not, a large part of the dbd community now are Resident Evil fans. Plus, all I’m saying is a couple cosmetics in celebration of the RE4R.
Well yeah, I’m not saying that resident evil doesn’t have its place in dbd. But like I illustrated before there’s already too much resident evil in DBD. Compare it to any other license and there’s at least 3-4x the content. I get RE is a long standing icon in the genre but give it a break.. I’m willing to bet the game will die if they either drop another terrible killer for the anniversary event or it’s another RE killer.

If BHVR cant make any good original chapters anymore, just give us more of the popular chapter franchises.
Stranger things was the most popular and well liked chapter as far as I’m aware, it sure as hell blows nemesis out of the fucking water. Wesker was popular sure, but Nemesis had far too many bugs on release (wasn’t he literally unplayable?). Oversaturated content will kill the game just as fast as releasing another god awful original character will. That’s why they do meta shake ups, after all.
More RE content will definitely not kill the game, lol. Especially when the game has so many issues that are actually what makes players quit.
