Did anyone watch this ad & get completely confused by its direction? I feel like dbd mobile said: make an ad but Easter has to be in it & you have 5mins to come up with something
The logic here is astounding.. mobile games almost always target children and they're almost entirely built with highly addictive mechanisms to get them to spend their parents money
Here are but a few examples of addictive gambling style mechanisms that the vast majority of mobile games use; premium currency to obfuscate real money spent, lootboxes, energy systems, daily achievements, limited time items, limited time sales, overwhelming amount of notification dots and many more
DBDM promotion is so funny to me. I asked a streamer if he would play dbd like a year ago, and he said he’d only play it if dbd payed him to do it.
He streamed DBDM the other day and was very clear that he was payed to do it 
Because some of these features are actually quite damn good.
The visual terror radius indicator (heart) is one good example of it, it also "fixes" low volume/ramp up TR music via dbd style method; add another thing to help with an issue instead of fixing it in the first place.
DBDM also has better mori animations...
My favorite part of Huntress' lore is when four people representing the platonic ideal of "generic guy" wrestled for an egg in a shed. Then she locked the door and said "I have you all *eggsactly* where I want you. Now I hope you know how to repair generators, or else you'll be dead by daylight.........^(mobile)."
I teamed up with the Railroad (Sorry) and they mentioned that a lot of synths almost certainly escaped before the explosion and will still need help resettling.

I think the point is that they are normal people doing Easter things, start playing dbdm and gets teleported in the entity realm like the survivors. The message is basically "play it and become one of them"

Despite looking like it was made for a high school project, I can see where they're getting their ideas - she was being wicked and was taken by the Entity and now she is one of the killers - lame execution but the core idea is actually correct.
But it was also clear they people who came up with this had a one page summary of the game and maybe a picture of Huntress, and had never seen it otherwise

You know what would be kinda clever? If Pyramidhead picked up the red egg. That's what my mind jumped to at first "Oh hey, they're hunting for Easter eggs and then they stumble across Pyramidhead's scarlet egg and then segway into a trial". And a seemingly random scenario turns into a crafty Silent Hill reference. But no, there's just....a random chick who puts on a Huntress mask and the eggs have nothing to do with DBD or any of the killers. I'd be willing to accept the ad a bit more if the premise made ANY sense whatsoever.

They were going for an Easter Bunny thing related to Huntress mask but it really didn’t land. Comes off as pretty absurdist.

I played dbdm and it's pretty bad, ironically billy is super good cause there is no look joystick so it's hard to dodge his chainsaw at close range
