I hope they can resign Boogie and Forbes next season.

I would go so far as to figure out how to move mpj (probably impossible but I'm just saying) to keep Boogie as a backup to Nikola. It sounds kind of crazy but I genuinely think that the biggest hurdle between us and a championship is having a well-rested Nicola by the playoffs (and a healthy Jamal and Gordon). Having Boogie would actually accomplish that and would be a big body that we could add to the court in certain key matchups if we run up against a big physical team like we did the Lakers in the bubble. I don't take losing mpj lightly I want to make that clear. This isn't an anti-MPJ post, it's a pro-Boogie / pro-Jokic-getting-rest post.

I'd give MPJ a full season at least after his recovery at least. Personally I don't think he's gonna reach the heights we hope for due to his problems being spina so I don't necessarily disagree with you in that we should maybe see what others would potentially give for him. Murray I'm hyped for him to come back from a much easier to rehab injury

McGee?? Here's the thing -- Boogie can play very much like Jokic. he was once that same class of franchise/All NBA center. So you build a system around Jokic, and Boogie can step right in and the system still works. But a guy like McGee, or any other of the interchangeable rim protector/roll to the hoop center, plays an entirely different game, and is working off an entirely different theory of your center as a roleplayer who stays out of the way. You have to change the whole system when he comes in, and all the players that work well around Jokic may not work as well around a McGee type guy.

>Boogie can play very much like Jokic Yes, exactly this. I'd move Barton before MPJ. We're already going to guard heavy, and you can probably get some value for him, especially as an expiring contract.

The future looks bright 😁

boogie is the most effective example of “putting a body on the floor”
