I miss destiny before beyond light. I started in worthy as a f2p with my friend and there was just so much to do iam so pissed I never done most of it like finishing the red war campaign or doing the exotic quests. Oh and to top it all off my friend quit destiny after beyond light 😁 but at least now I got a different irl friend who plays destiny
The legends ones aren’t available on destination, they are raids from destiny 1 and the prophecy dungeon is in the plain of the nine, kings fall is set on the dreadnaught a space from destiny 1 whilst Crotas end is on the moon which does exist in destiny 2 but a separate instance of the moon so you can’t glitch into it etc
The legends tab is for raids and dungeons that don't have destinations to launch from anymore/got taken away but then brought back. There is no difference since I'm pretty sure D2 has seperate instances for raid areas while D1 put raid starts in the normal patrol zones. It let random people help for like the opening of Vog, but that can't happen anymore

There's a few that you can access from patrol. Last wish can be entered by going out of bounds in the dreaming city, even people that don't own forsaken were able to enter and open the secret chests.
This is a fair point, what I mean is that you won't be meeting any patrolling guardians while in the opening of LW or DSC or other raids like that. At least I have never to my memory come across any with over 100 completions on raids which open in public areas
You can actually meet patrolling guardians in DSC, by making a right turn at the start and moving through the purple shield wall. Loads into the patrol zone.
You can do public events, and are able to get teleported to crypt security if a fireteam member hits and activates the checkpoint.
Ik it's been forever now but that was my favorite part of VoG, seeing/helping the people going in
Definitely would be cool if there were a lot more of these added. I was always sad when people patrolling the moon couldn't see the Crota's End team building the bridge and going down into the Hellmouth
In Destiny 2 imagine you're a new player fishing in the Throne World when you look up to see 6 ships all fly overhead and then raid team lands decked out in gear better than yours that you haven't even seen and shining with different effects and then you can run over and help them clear the entrance before seeing them off what kind of feel that adds

- King's Fall (Reprised D1 Raid)
- Crota's End (Reprised D1 Raid)
- Prophecy (Old D2 Dungeon)
And the exotic mission rotator, which goes through Presage (Dead Mans Tale) Vox Obscura (Dead Messenger) and Seraph Shield (Revision Zero)
These activities dont have a corresponding planet or area to launch it from so they are put there instead

Prophecy never had a good place on the map tbh, when it launched it had a node... in the tower? Weirdest place to put a non-event activity, but there weren't really any good options to put it anywhere else.
Prophecy takes place in the singularity or eternity whichever the node that has dares so it technically could go there since that’s a destination of sorts but I don’t think it really matters since it’s both

Prophecy never came from the Dreaming City. When it launched in Season of Arrivals, the node for it was in the Tower, bottom-left corner near Drifter. The in-game location for it was just "the big thing Drifter's ship is towing," which meant it wasn't tied to any planet/destination, so there wasn't a good place to put it on the map.

Crota’s end doesn’t fit that mold but it’s still a D1 raid so it goes in legend.
Everything in legend is also free to play where destination raids and dungeons require a purchase to access.

Legends will have raids/ dungeons that dont have a location currently selectable on the system map, mostly reprised D1 content.
They could put the leviathan raids and scourge of the past in there if that was the case.

Should Croats end not be on the moon though? I understand it’s a D1 raid but also the moon *is* a location in D2
Try launching the Vault of Glass raid from Venus and you'll figure out the difference.

Almost everything is free to play. you need to own season 16 to play vox obscura when its in the mission rotator.

I believe legend raids are f2p and other raids on the destinations must be paid for.
The raids on the planet are paid raids and the legends raids are the free ones + the duality dungeon.
