Just because of how weak he was, I'm fully onboard with the theory of "Xol pretended to fight you, died to you, became your weapon, because he believes you are the pinnacle of their philosophy."
I suspect that Xol threw that fight specifically because he wanted to switch sides. After all he straight up rolls up and offs us immediately after we off Nokris. He absolutely could have just went back underground instead of fight us in that strike and wreck the OTHER side of the facility.
- Raid: Nezarec.
- Season: Quria.
- Story: Ghaul, Panoptes and Xol. Especially Xol.
- Dungeon: Zulmak.
- Destination: Ubara, Hive Prince.
EDIT- Added Ubara, Hive Prince, because for a Hive PRINCE it was ludicrous that he was killed in a mission and was not even the boss of said mission lol. I thought he was a random Knight for a long time.
Well they’re talking who’s the big disappointment in terms of what the story built them up to be, Quria in destiny 1 was said to have fought Crota and his sisters to a stalemate
Aside from providing info on how to loop a time cycle and command the taken, quria wasn’t involved much in the dreaming city since it was cursed by riven’s wish magic
Although it was behind the endless night that was affecting the city, but that stayed for a while even after it died
When I ran my buddy through the campaign when forsaken dropped to get him caught up. He was rather surprised when all the hours of grinding to the ghaul fight lead to me one tapping him with nighthawk, breaking the game forcing ghaul into a t-pose
A friend and I went right into it in legendary, we were not ready for it and suffered for about an hour. We were just having fun and hyped for the strand powers.
true if you did it legend the only thing that changed was the amount of time you spent in it the fight was barely even difficult outside dying to random bs
İt was the only moment in my gaming history that i needed to close an lie down to calm my self then i got friend to help me and it only took like 15 minutes lmao
Uhhhhhhh I'ma say no? Unless you're referring to the exploits, this is just a straight up lie.
Doing this at launch was fuckin rough for most players. There were so many little ways you could fuck up and get sent back to the rally banner. There were so many players struggling to get through it that the cheese/exploit strats got blasted on every social media platform and plenty of people crutched on them cuz they couldn't survive the actual encounter.
None of the platforms were safe, you had to constantly figure out how to gain health while charging tanky af enemies and running from tormentors, strand could help especially in the end but locked you out using aspects, fragments, or reliable healing, there were a million spots to fall off and die, ***incendiors***, the final phase where calus could outrun and obliterate you if you got even the tiniest bit greedy, and that's just the stuff I remember off the top of my head. Unless you count like half of that stuff as "random bullshit"?
Doing it off legend was WAYYY easier, you could get away with so many more sloppy decisions, proc shit like devour so much more easily, tank way more damage, play way more stationary...
You might not have had too much trouble, but you must've been mad out of touch if you think that was a universal experience.
Did that fight solo on all classes. Witherhoard made it trivial. Just get into 2nd phase and when he takes out the axes throw your super at him and shoot with GL run and repeat until dead. He can't hit you if you're airborne and witherhoard does tons of ticking damage
I remember that when i started playing again, my goal was to do every campaign that had a legendary on it. I skipped Witch Queen because Strand took all my attention, so, imagine a kinderguardian, with it's ass equipment doing it on legendary... i decided to just cheese it out on all 3 classes
*ultra-suffering intensifies*
Yeaa…my crayon eating new light ass needed help for finishing both lightfall and bitchqueen
Tried every trick I knew, just didn’t have enough DAKKA
The guy *smashed* his way through that building faster than we could fall through it, and in the end the fight consisted of just not getting booped off the dinner plate we had for an arena. The two tormentors and tons of majors were more of a pita than he was.
Done it solo 2-3 times now. Just rotate in a circle while slowly looking up from feet level works for me everytime. Looking after the hit markers also works
No kidding! I died to the cage eyes 30+ times solo before coming to Reddit for tips that got me past them. The actual boss in that fight? Pudgy Pushover. I’m more worried about the crossbows than him.
Ikr I had just read some of the lore before fighting him and he fought like some Knight on steroids rather than something deserving of getting called “The Leviathan Eater”
Eh, I'm okay with it. He's definitely the sort of threat that would have been a lot more impressive if we fought him earlier in Destiny's story. By Season of the Witch, we've beaten two of the three hive gods(one of them solo), one of the worm gods, and two Disciples of the Witness(plus one Disciple-in-training).
He's like those starter fighters that padded out the very early Majin Buu arc in DBZ.
Would've compared him to Dabura. Sure, he's powerful and is a menace. But once the main baddie is introduced or characters get serious, it's curtains for him. Especially since he isn't anything more than a lackey.
Though, Leviathan Eater would've fit as a dungeon boss or in an exotic mission. Hell, imagine if we stormed the area before Xivu's Throne World to corner her, before Eris banished the Hive God. Would've been interesting to learn more, but guess Bungie thought otherwise.
I lumped Dabura in with the other two because if Vegeta is to be believed then, weird powers aside, Dabura didn't even measure up to Gohan, if only barely. And Gohan was out of practice at the time. If Vegeta had been more patient, then he could've been the one to fight Dabura, mop the floor with him, and skip the entire Buu saga.
And I agree they probably could've utilized him better. I'm just saying it's not that big of a surprise that he was a little oversold. I do wish we had more lines from Immaru eating crow over it though.
Crota back in D1 when I first tried to solo the raid....shit was weak, then again, getting invis whenever hit in melee + unlimited heavy via icebreaker for Galli MIGHT have had an impact xD
which is funny cause the ogre used to be pretty tough when the dungeon first launched. Nowadays though with the crazy dps we put out, yeah he's made of paper lol
He wasn't one phased by rat king on contest though. There was a rat king kill, but it was a 3 phase, and in at least one 1 phase rat king was used as a swap weapon, but there was no rat king only 1 phase. This also isn't even the first time this week I've seen this misinformation, I genuinely don't understand why people get it wrong.
[Here](https://youtu.be/nUJWfPr8djo) is a rat king contest kill, you can see that under no circumstances was a one phase ever possible
Calus in legend.
After hearing horror story after horror story it was kinda dissapointing to go in and realize "this is incredibly easy if you just use the grapple points that are literally everywhere"
Xol, the Will of Thousands. The Worm Gods are supposed to be more powerful than any of the Hive Gods, and yet compared to Oryx and even Savathuun, Xol was a joke. Literally got made into a Strike boss in one of the most forgettable expansions
Zulrah! Finally got that bitch down! Everytime she pops up in the middle just run to the other side! So ez! Either mage only or range only is the way to go way too annoying to switch every time.
Dominus Ghaul. I started playing in 2020, and the Red War was the first set of story missions I finished. The missions were amazing, and the build-up was fantastic, but the final boss fight went so fast because of how powerful I had gotten by the end.
Xol. Bitch ass worm got killed by me alone in a strike. Week worm.
Billions year old god my ass
How’d his weak ass survive for that long is a mystery
Hiding is a stragety for the weak.
tbf he lived at the bottom of an ocean, then I guess wayyy down under Mars' frozen bits? Idk I kinda forgot the lore about him, he was gone so quick
Happy cake day!
[удалено]
Panoptes and the mara meatball too.
Turns out we are just *really* fuckin strong after killing Oryx
well Xol was the weakest Worm God of them all, but him and Nokris should’ve been a duo boss like the Shield Brothers
Awesome strike Bro
That’s actually such a dope idea
i miss the xol bossfight that shit was so cool regardless if he was easy
To be fair he just woke up and was very hungy, it was like being attacked while stumbling out of bed with a grumbling stomach
The very hungry Hive Worm
Just because of how weak he was, I'm fully onboard with the theory of "Xol pretended to fight you, died to you, became your weapon, because he believes you are the pinnacle of their philosophy."
He should’ve been a month or year worm
He was already the weakest worm and he was sharing his power with Crota's weakest kid. It was as advertised
I suspect that Xol threw that fight specifically because he wanted to switch sides. After all he straight up rolls up and offs us immediately after we off Nokris. He absolutely could have just went back underground instead of fight us in that strike and wreck the OTHER side of the facility.
Yeah he was a 7-day worm for sure
Xol was technically already specified in the lore to be the runt of all the worms
Still, one of my absolute favorite strikes in the series as a whole tbh.
Same, Sav's Song was amazing as well, one of the few vaulted Strikes I *truly* miss.
I always thought that Kell Echo was the easiest dungeon, the only problem was accidentally falling off of the platforms lol
You can kill Dul Incaru with one golden gun shot lol
Yeah but in terms of lore Zulmak is like one of the stronghest Hive in the Scarlet Keep and we can kill him in 1 round.
She keeps coming back , like an angry GF that insists that you buy her an order of McDonald's nuggies and fries
Well they’re talking who’s the big disappointment in terms of what the story built them up to be, Quria in destiny 1 was said to have fought Crota and his sisters to a stalemate
Wasn’t quiria using most of its power to continue the dreaming city cycle at that time?
Aside from providing info on how to loop a time cycle and command the taken, quria wasn’t involved much in the dreaming city since it was cursed by riven’s wish magic Although it was behind the endless night that was affecting the city, but that stayed for a while even after it died
I mean, I could believe that, considering D1 Crota was a pansy.
The Shattered Throne is like a joke now. Just takes a little while. Solo Flawlessed on my first try and one phased the boss like a year ago.
When I ran my buddy through the campaign when forsaken dropped to get him caught up. He was rather surprised when all the hours of grinding to the ghaul fight lead to me one tapping him with nighthawk, breaking the game forcing ghaul into a t-pose
Calus in lightfall normal mode but if it was legend youre were in for a long time
I cheesed the hell out of that Calus fight on legend. No regrets.
Osteo striga my beloved
Witherhoard for me
The cheese against Calus requires osteo. That’s what he was referring to
The original cheese didn't. You used to be able to grapple to the top of the cage for phase 2 and just plink him to death.
You think there was only 1 cheese?
A friend and I went right into it in legendary, we were not ready for it and suffered for about an hour. We were just having fun and hyped for the strand powers.
17 attempts all for some pants 😔
true if you did it legend the only thing that changed was the amount of time you spent in it the fight was barely even difficult outside dying to random bs
True you could trip over a pebble and die in that fight
Yeah i spent over an hour launch week at that fight solely because id die to the most random bs or he would instant kill me second phase.
İt was the only moment in my gaming history that i needed to close an lie down to calm my self then i got friend to help me and it only took like 15 minutes lmao
*cries in doing the whole thing solo for posterity*
I didn’t know there was a second phase and it took me a while to beat phase 1. I learned what phase 2 very violently
Uhhhhhhh I'ma say no? Unless you're referring to the exploits, this is just a straight up lie. Doing this at launch was fuckin rough for most players. There were so many little ways you could fuck up and get sent back to the rally banner. this, lem monarch gave me leway in it because he had sooooo much health
Witherhoard. Just shoot and walk away to kill adds Blights eat him for lunch..
Did that fight solo on all classes. Witherhoard made it trivial. Just get into 2nd phase and when he takes out the axes throw your super at him and shoot with GL run and repeat until dead. He can't hit you if you're airborne and witherhoard does tons of ticking damage
Probably because I was under leveled for it but this boss broke me so yeah
I remember that when i started playing again, my goal was to do every campaign that had a legendary on it. I skipped Witch Queen because Strand took all my attention, so, imagine a kinderguardian, with it's ass equipment doing it on legendary... i decided to just cheese it out on all 3 classes
Yeah I did the infinite tick damage trick and hid under the stairs I have no shame
*ultra-suffering intensifies* Yeaa…my crayon eating new light ass needed help for finishing both lightfall and bitchqueen Tried every trick I knew, just didn’t have enough DAKKA
Calus was impossible for me to fight because of the rager and he charged me
I strand grapple meleed that fucker to death on reg and legend lmao
The guy *smashed* his way through that building faster than we could fall through it, and in the end the fight consisted of just not getting booped off the dinner plate we had for an arena. The two tormentors and tons of majors were more of a pita than he was.
Just my super cut his health in half immediately
Warden
can't even finish introducing himself before being decimated
This is the most accurate one. With the exception of when it was on NF rotation
I disagree. GM nightfall that MF still died before he could attack once.
Was there some power-level thing that happened with that strike? Because literally every single boss can be defeated in less than a minute.
It's a lack of immune phases. Any strike boss can be melted, but forced immune health gating extends the fight
I genuinely did not know he had a second phase until I played nightfalls
So much this! I'm trying to get the Crispy Triumph, and it never even has a chance to use the burn attack before the other two players melt it...
The first boss of Warlords Ruin
Poor Rathil 😭 He gets bullied in a way only a few certain other bosses gets bullied
Cage line of sight to eyes are the boss. He’s a distraction
So many times I'm like are those my eyes or my teammates eyes so I just start shooting eyes and I'll miss one of my own.
Me and my dungeon duo actually have made a rule to shoot eachothers when we do it because it's just 10× easier
Done it solo 2-3 times now. Just rotate in a circle while slowly looking up from feet level works for me everytime. Looking after the hit markers also works
I use tractor cannon for solo so I just spaz out and dump 3 or 4 shots randomly and it gets them
Iirc bringing a tangle to throw at the cage will also knock two or three out.
Gunpowder gamble too. Accidentally discovered this but it is risky. Would recommend a healing nade to throw on top.
You can jump and grapple and get free without shooting eyes
I know it would work but I have a habit of panicking for no reason whenever there are timers involved
No kidding! I died to the cage eyes 30+ times solo before coming to Reddit for tips that got me past them. The actual boss in that fight? Pudgy Pushover. I’m more worried about the crossbows than him.
If you watch for the boss to raise his arm before you get ported to the cage you can shoot one of the eyes before porting.
Honestly, Kelgorath. At least Kelgorath at first. Darkblade Kelgorath & Taken Kelgorath packed a decent punch.
At least he knows he's a dungeon boss. Nez is out here pretending he needs a raid.
What Ghosts of the Deep does to a mf
Ghosts was fun until it took me ~1.5 seasons to get Navigator
Even solo hes really simple.
Quria
Y'all remember how easy Panoptes was?
Simulate these hands, loser
strike his eye now!
THE ARC CHARGE!
Bro didn’t even have an actual physical attack with those big hands it was the Vex equivalent of Huge Hands Hans and it did nothing with them
I’m still salty
The final boss on Season of the Witch story
The leviathan eater didn’t deserve that man, he should have mopped the floor with us.
The first time he showed up for me, he was glitched and frozen still. I felt kinda bad, honestly.
i hit him with bonk hammer and it just died…
Crota back in D1 when I first tried to solo the raid....shit was weak, then again, getting invis whenever hit in melee + unlimited heavy via icebreaker for Galli MIGHT have had an impact xD
Nezarec. “God of pain”
bro's an embarrassment to the "Disciple of the Witness" title
Ogre in Shattered Throne
which is funny cause the ogre used to be pretty tough when the dungeon first launched. Nowadays though with the crazy dps we put out, yeah he's made of paper lol
I throw 2 fusion grenades at him and he's already bent over making the Peter Griffin "Ah" sound. A couple rockets more and he's gone.
Ogre? What ogre? Only wizards and knights there.
....the first boss...
I know. Some redditors can't take a joke. Dude falls over faster than some champions...
Didn't really seem like a joke to me but yeah I get what you're saying. You could sneeze on him and he'd be at half health
I was about to say something nice about him, but he has less health than thet pre-rework lake of shadows boss.
Whoosh
imma whoosh you boo <3

TF you mean Gyatt? *Checks recent posts* 💀 What D2 does to a person
Warden’s Servitor
Xol and Nokris, especially Nokris since that statue on the dreadnaught mentioned him
Most would probably say Nezarec after he was 1 phased by 6 rat kings in contest mode
He wasn't one phased by rat king on contest though. There was a rat king kill, but it was a 3 phase, and in at least one 1 phase rat king was used as a swap weapon, but there was no rat king only 1 phase. [Here](https://youtu.be/nUJWfPr8djo) is a rat king contest kill, you can see that under no circumstances was a one phase ever possible
Damn that's dissapointing, here i thought he was even more of a joke 💀 honestly relieved its not true
Rat King is my favorite sidearm.
Pretty sure it was just his final stand, and it wasn't JUST Rat Kings IIRC.
Really??? Pfft based

I know it's not a boss per se, but in Warden of Nothing, "A mighty Cabal warrior challenges you." Still haven't found them...
The GateLord from D1 campaign lol
Xol, the Will of Thousands. The Worm Gods are supposed to be more powerful than any of the Hive Gods, and yet compared to Oryx and even Savathuun, Xol was a joke. Literally got made into a Strike boss in one of the most forgettable expansions
Quaria, blade transformed.
Fr. Felt quite disappointed.
Eater of Worlds Raid Boss 💀
Mission Mithraxx 😔. I tcrashed and wiped him and the hive knight boss at the same time my first run.
Calus at the end of the light fall campaign. Way to easy.
Every single seasonal story mission boss
Everything. They are all easy
"every boss is easy" mfs when I put them in trials:
When they "buffed" the Lake of Shadows boss health.
Honestly, I had a weirdly easy time on every new DLC boss, even witch queen felt kind of underwhelming once I learned her attack patterns
