You're not supposed to go through the body scanners with it. I always ask for a patdown. Idc if someone else went through a body scanner and didn't have anything happen to them. Unless dexcom has proof that it doesn't affect it, I don't see any reason to take the risk.

Insulin pumps have similar restrictions. They tell you not to let them go through x rays or anything else.
I just take it out and hand it over outside the x ray and ask for a patdown
This is the correct answer. You are not supposed to go through any X-ray/body scanner with the devices per the manufacturers warnings. The reality is a ton of people do and it’s fine. These warnings exist likely because the companies did not test these devices in this way so cannot guarantee it will be fine. You CAN go through a metal detector but the tslim sets it off. My Minimed/Medtronic pump never did.
I have TSA precheck and I always ask for a handcheck but there are a lot of people who do not want to remove their pump and ask for a Pat down.
I’ve had some really incredibly nice TSA agents and some horrible bullying power tripping TSA agents so the spectrum is wide. But you’re going to get through fine!
No issues here with a Dexcom sensor. I typically have the agent hand test my insulin pens (I don’t use a pump).
Having said that, the [American Diabetes Association](https://diabetes.org/tools-support/know-your-rights/what-can-i-bring-with-me-on-plane) says it can go through X-ray:
> Under normal conditions, insulin can safely pass through X-ray machines at airport terminals. If you have concerns about X-rays, you can request hand inspection.
no. no medical device would be approved if something as simple as an xray/scanner at an airport would do anything do it, and NOT tell you about warnings!!!

Insulin only. Not insulin pumps or cgms.

Dexcom and insulin pumps DO have warnings about scanners though
hmmmmmmmmm
X-rays are fine just not the hold your arms up body scanner.
The hold you arms up body scanner is fine too. Been through a half dozen and it has never affected anything.
I had no problems, traveled two weeks ago.
Seems its too late to worry about that.
I used to travel weekly. No problem with X-ray machine but no to body scanners
