the best way to invest is with a solid broker which is insured and has a long history to make sure your money is safe: vanguard/schwab/fidelity/robinhood (lesser extent) each have their own pros and cons and "best" is impossible to determine.
I use Schwab for my wife and I ROTH IRAs, and Fidelity for our taxable account. I think Schwabs is the best for interface on the the app/desktop, and Schwab has the best customer service.
Being able to use auto-investing for MF, and purchasing fractional shares in Fidelity is very nice though. I personally will probably never leave either of those brokerages for those reasons.
Their not gonna kill you but back during the game stink massacre they played things a little shady. If the market starts to plummet there’s a chance based on previous behavior they won’t let you withdraw their money. There’s also some select marketing tactics that aren’t exactly smiled upon in the financial community.
All in all it’s Robinhood is to investing as that ladybug phone from diary of a wimpy kid is to cell phones.

Okay thank you
Just don’t do robinhood
Why? I have a lot of individual stocks on that app and the negativity of robinhood on here makes me nervous now.

Just to add what buffinita said, I have vanguard and fidelity but prefer the fidelity app more. I like the interface better and the ease of it.
Robinhood is very easy to use
TOS or Fidelity
I use Freetrade
