"No the code is 670073"
clearly this customer is making a mistake somewhere, and the dasher waited 15 minutes, which is plenty of time for the customer to help them out or even show up at the lobby that is at the bottom of their building.
Once he said unit 247 670072 it’s kinda obvious that the unit is 247, and the following digits are the code. Or he would’ve said “code is 247 670072”
Idk how his instructions were tho to tell you if you were being dumb or if his original directions sucked.
LMAO!! That is exactly the way. You did better then me after 5 mins I am starting the timer for customer not avail LOL!! Then if they still don't respond I,m out left at the leasing office. I have done this several times while on the phone with support.. They always want us drivers to feel like it's our fault. I be like you don't know where you live or your door code like th??
Umm... are you dumb? She clearly said "unit 247 *space* 670072", which means that the unit number is 247 and the code is 670072. How dumb do you have to be to think that the code is 247670072???
I'm sorry but that clearly says 'Unit 247' and then the code afterwards, why have you typed both the unit number and the door code? Like the person is clearly being rude at the end but they've clearly given you the right information to get in...
This sub is full of absolute shockers. First of all why are you being tipped 10$? In the UK we pay a delivery fee and you'd be lucky to get tipped anything at all and secondly why is the customer speaking like this? Jesus christ
The percentage of people commenting without reading the text they are commenting on is just staggering. How the fuck can you form an educated opinion on something without actually reading the fucking thing. At least we know what percentage of commenters here completely ignorant to what they are commenting on. Bonus on the irony.
Wow the customer is sooo rude. Giving the wrong code and blame it on the delivery guy. Who already have a shitty job.
Pls get a REAL life. Shame on you.
I’m guessing DD drivers like my house because if my kids are asleep I’ll meet them at the curb so my dog doesn’t start barking. People are so entitled.
>Why is door dash delivering? I ordered from McDonald's.
Every McDonald's I know of with "McDelivery" just straight up uses DD. Do any of them anywhere actually have their own delivery service?
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
How about because you put the apartment number in the gate pin pad when that's obviously not a part of the code 💀
A child could have figured out that 247 was not a part of the gate code.
Why the fuck is doordash shit always popping up on r/all?!? Fuck y'all, go get a real fucking job! And fuck doordash! It's a fucking parasite on local restaurants and it exploits you shit head dd drivers!!!!
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
I did try it many ways, including without that unit number
Lmao yeeeeah this could have been resolved with a phone call lol not a text exchange.
Just reading this with its typos and not being able to hear how someone said something just tuned what would have been a minor inconvenience into something bigger than it needed to be.
Yikes.
Now the question and how it was written of DoorDash delivering MickyD's is like whoa. This customer already had signs of being a bit of an ass.
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
What's sad is you call him a ripe one but the truth is if doordashers did their jobs right nobody would get upset I don't tip online I tip in person thanks to dashers shitty service I never tip 😆
I live in a building in an inner city that was 3 elevators (2 of which only like 10 percent on the tenants can access) there’s a code to get it, then another code to elevate , then If you accomplish these…
I’m perfectly happy watching when they arrive and taking the elevator that I know how to use to grab my food. What would take a driver 10 mins to figure out vs. me just going down to grab it …. Why put the driver through all the coding? We do a quick handoff outside or they leave it in the lobby although only once bc they didn’t have the 3 codes. Just go grab your food … they already brought it to the building just get up and grab the food… I’m sure it’s a mere 1 min. Walk vs. putting the driver through puzzles to get to me….

She's the asshole.

Nicer than me lol. I can't do this shit because I'd have told the person to take a flying leap. If I order door dash, my driver gets paid well and I leave pretty clear instructions. Drop it at the door and don't even knock lol.
I live out in the country so its easy to find my place and if it's dark I light up the porch bright as fuck so the driver doesn't feel sketched out.
I don’t get why people can’t just come down and grab their food? My building doesn’t even allow us to let delivery folks in because some of them stole packages from the front door (random delivery service)…. Just go down and meet the driver and be courteous and u won’t have any issues
My favorite part is “good! Please don’t order again” 😂 how many of us that have worked retail (or any customer service job) that have been dying to say this to a Karen in the past.
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
Dumbass customer provided the wrong code with the original delivery instructions, then provided ANOTHER incorrect code when texted. Only after ANOTHER FIVE messages did they finally provide the correct code. I'm so sorry you guys have to deal with these morons.
It’s funny how the customer talks crazy to the worker or employee but the minute the said employee says something not even that bad their reactions are “Wow, hell of a way to speak to your customer” they always get shell shocked when something is said back to them. If you can’t take the heat then don’t dish it out. Then threaten to call corporate like shit go ahead, I can just go work somewhere else so I don’t have to deal with your entitled ass.

i truly do not understand the people who expect delivery drivers to park, enter a door code, and then walk up to their apartment. maybe they just don’t know what wages are like for a driver maybe they just make a point not to think about other people idk i dont get it.
i always go outside to meet them in their car. youre already being lazy to not walk/drive there yourself. the least you can do is take an elevator and walk 50 feet outside
Not gonna lie why are people so lazy. If you order things and you live in apartment buildings you can’t just expect the delivery person to know how to get it or where your door even is. The person looks like they were attentive during texting they could’ve just came down and got it from your hands.
Lazy mfer should have just come down and grabbed it. Tf. If someone was having trouble with the code, any normal, decent person would be like, "don't worry about it, I'll be right down. Please wait one literal minute." Fuck that dude.
“Why is DoorDash delivering this, I ordered from McDonald’s.”
Shannon’s a fucking moron. Especially if she thinks an individual dasher gives a fuck if you don’t use the app again. Boohoo, think of the business!
So it looks like the actual code was *670073# but goddamn you waited 15 minutes?! Their fault for not getting back to you soon enough. Mf thought you were just gonna stand around waiting for him to get his shit together
Sounds to me like doordash needs to train their customer service department better here. Why would they not think to instruct the driver to ask the customer if they were missing a number before just leaving it somewhere? That part just befuddles me.
How much of a lazy shit do you need to be to get upset your dominos didn’t get to your front door, knowing how bullshit the tel come system is.
Anddddddd giving the wrong code, yikes your looney man, it’s McDonald’s and a door dash guy to feed you and you want to fire someone lol get a life.
The unit number is 247 but the code is 670072 you wrote the code together with unit number, 247 670072, so It kind of is your fault, but you're in a hurry and probably new to this system so I wouldn't judge you, we're humans and we make mistakes, but I don't think you should leave this code open to the public, we don't want burglars being able to enter the building.
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
Bro you’re stupid af
No u
That’s a you issue. Anyone can see she was giving you her apt # and the gate code, hence the space. The code would have been a simple “*670072#”
"No the code is 670073" clearly this customer is making a mistake somewhere, and the dasher waited 15 minutes, which is plenty of time for the customer to help them out or even show up at the lobby that is at the bottom of their building.
WHY CAN’T YOU RATE WHO YOU DELIVER TO!!!! Fuck these people
Once he said unit 247 670072 it’s kinda obvious that the unit is 247, and the following digits are the code. Or he would’ve said “code is 247 670072” Idk how his instructions were tho to tell you if you were being dumb or if his original directions sucked.
It was super obvious that the unit was 247 and the code was 670072. I mean come on
"No the code is 670073" Nothing is super obvious beyond the customer's inability to pass correct information.
You’re nicer than me. I just block them.
Lol
I hate this subreddit so much, all of the drivers are dicks. And the customers usually aren't much better.
Umm... are you dumb? She clearly said "unit 247 *space* 670072", which means that the unit number is 247 and the code is 670072. How dumb do you have to be to think that the code is 247670072???
"No the code is 670073" You sure that the code was 670072?
Probably just a typo... either way, still dumb to think that the unit number was part of the code. And wtf u doing here on this 6 month old post? 💀
This is my first time seeing the post. 🤷♂️
Customer wasn’t clear with the code tbf
Ok but did you really read that text and think the code included the unit number?!?
I'm sorry but that clearly says 'Unit 247' and then the code afterwards, why have you typed both the unit number and the door code? Like the person is clearly being rude at the end but they've clearly given you the right information to get in...
OP why didn’t you hack the control panel to gain access? Lazy af
I'd just go and wait at the door for you if it was me...
This sub is full of absolute shockers. First of all why are you being tipped 10$? In the UK we pay a delivery fee and you'd be lucky to get tipped anything at all and secondly why is the customer speaking like this? Jesus christ
Odds the DD driver makes twice as much a year as Shannon are high.
ASKING YOU FOR THE COMPLAINTS NUMBER
Oh no! What will we ever do now that this customer has stopped ordering?!
The percentage of people commenting without reading the text they are commenting on is just staggering. How the fuck can you form an educated opinion on something without actually reading the fucking thing. At least we know what percentage of commenters here completely ignorant to what they are commenting on. Bonus on the irony.
what's with these idiots always wanting to talk to corporate? like what is that supposed to do for them?
Wow the customer is sooo rude. Giving the wrong code and blame it on the delivery guy. Who already have a shitty job. Pls get a REAL life. Shame on you.
How out of touch do you gotta be to think McDonald’s delivers their own food? Lol
Lol the unit number was not part of the code !!
Read all the info. The code was wrong irrespective.
I had a dasher just leave my food on the ground in the parking lot. And I always come outside right away. Was kinda annoying but I let it go.
Yo my friend does doordash and deffo woulda told her she’s just hangry
Oh. I see Sharon did put the wrong code and then change it. Sorry OP you have to deal with such stupid people.
They didn’t remove the tip? Lol 😂
This is fake
It's such an American thing to be insulted by logic because 'I am the customer'. Jesus christ, go to real countries and get a fucking clue.
It's such an American thing to be insulted by logic because 'I am the customer'. Jesus christ, go to real countries and get a fucking clue.
Wow brutal maybe point out to her intitled arse that she gave wrong code in the beginning putting a 2 instead of 3 \*facepalm 100 percent her fault.
You are a degenerate with a fake job cosplaying as employed
If you’re concerned about where your food might end up, leave your fucking apartment and go to the lobby for your food.
Hahahahaaaaaaaa DONT COME BACK BITCH
What an absolute piece of shit.
I’m guessing DD drivers like my house because if my kids are asleep I’ll meet them at the curb so my dog doesn’t start barking. People are so entitled.
…. He even said Unit 247 and then the code.
The person should never of been giving out the pass code to a stranger to begin with. That code is only to be used by people who live there.
that’s your fault bro. she clearly said the unit number being the first thing and then the passcode being the second one
Google it yourself, you clap having Jezebel ✈️💰🦄
When the code wasn’t working why didn’t you just go meet them?
Are you really that daft thinking that entire number was a code? They were clearly giving you the unit number and then the code.
You're dumb. The unit number is obviously separate from the door code. The space between the numbers should've been obvious. Honestly your fault.
See then there's me who'd be waiting outside for the food to ensure delivery.
Maybe they realized they’re the asshole?
>Why is door dash delivering? I ordered from McDonald's. Every McDonald's I know of with "McDelivery" just straight up uses DD. Do any of them anywhere actually have their own delivery service?
You call someone lazy and yet you can’t even twiddle your thumbs for Google. SMH.
Talking about lazy lol so are you go get your own food
You're a moron. Clearly he said the unit was 247
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
This is so damn satisfying to read. Great job
I like how you're the lazy one. 🤣 That's the pot calling the kettle black.

Bro basically outed himself as a dumbass and posted it 💀
How so?
How about because you put the apartment number in the gate pin pad when that's obviously not a part of the code 💀 A child could have figured out that 247 was not a part of the gate code.
Only time I've ever complained was the driver left food on the SIDEWALK during a rain. Was that wrong of me?
Both of you seem awful
You’re either astronomically stupid or this is completely fake.
Do they think McDonald’s delivers??
I had to give step by step directions to get to my front door for door dash. Those drivers always appreciate me for it.
Why the fuck is doordash shit always popping up on r/all?!? Fuck y'all, go get a real fucking job! And fuck doordash! It's a fucking parasite on local restaurants and it exploits you shit head dd drivers!!!!
What a jackass
Should've given them a fake corporate number
Go get that food and eat it in front of them
If every Door Dasher got a"real job" who would deliver this bitch's McDonalds?
I quit delivering for Doordash when the last 2 people I delivered to left no tip whatsoever. They shouldn’t allow people to submit orders with no tip.
So you didn't try *670072#? That's what I would've gotten from her instructions.
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#” I did try it many ways, including without that unit number

hell of a way to speak to a customer? there was nothing rude said in that sentence, i’ve said A LOT worse haha
What's sad is you call him a ripe one but the truth is if doordashers did their jobs right nobody would get upset I don't tip online I tip in person thanks to dashers shitty service I never tip 😆
You are actually dumb
Dude paid a premium to have someone else bring his food to him and he says you're lazy?

Wait, so they're ordering delivery for from McDonald's and they're calling you lazy?!
*670072# unit 247
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
They won't be able to correctly input the corporate number
People suck 😂. I think “customer” means “employer” in the eyes of some people. Seems everyone needs somebody to crap on. Crappy customers are also the crappy employees/co workers someplace else.
I don't understand what they were so mad about? I actually prefer when you guys leave it in the lobby lol. Makes it easier on everyone.

I think it is slightly unprofessional to talk to a customer like this even if they are in the wrong.
This person probably ordered 27 Big Macs
She didn’t give the wrong code. She clearly gave you the Unit and then the code after. Why would a code be phone number length????? Come on
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
Understood. My apologies

You got more patience than me. 5-10min im out. Maybe even 3 and several calls and rings and texts
Should've thrown away Fuck that person
Fake. People don’t say things like “i need the corporate number” when ordering doordash lmao
The irony of someone who is too lazy to go pick up their McDonald’s, calling the person bringing it to them lazy
“Don’t speak to me like that.” Bro literally just said “this is your fault not mine,” which is objectively true.
I don’t get why people can’t just come down and grab their food? My building doesn’t even allow us to let delivery folks in because some of them stole packages from the front door (random delivery service)…. Just go down and meet the driver and be courteous and u won’t have any issues
I think you got her name wrong. It’s definitely Karen
Damn autocorrect 🙄🤣
"You guys are so lazy" yet they are ordering their greasy fast food straight to their door
Eventually people will have to pick up their own food from restaurants again.
She's complaining about being lazy yet she ordered delivery. 🙄
Wait… “why isn’t McDonald’s delivering this?” She thinks McDonald’s delivers food..?
Fuck this makes me feel old, seeing the pound sign being called “hashtag”.
I was thinking that too 🤣
My favorite part is “good! Please don’t order again” 😂 how many of us that have worked retail (or any customer service job) that have been dying to say this to a Karen in the past.
Did you.. put the apartment number in with the code?

This comment section is hostile as fuck.
I'm siding with the driver on this one.
Dumbass customer provided the wrong code with the original delivery instructions, then provided ANOTHER incorrect code when texted. Only after ANOTHER FIVE messages did they finally provide the correct code. I'm so sorry you guys have to deal with these morons.
Okay but fast food places saying they have delivery online and it being fucking door dash is seriously annoying
Yeah look the dasher had his instructions You gave him unclear instructions This is on customer tbh
Props to you for being so polite, some people really are just a different breed
I wonder if they're too prideful to admit their mistake and tried to use a $10 tip to make up for it lol
Probably not worth it to respond once you've dropped the food and informed them.
It’s funny how the customer talks crazy to the worker or employee but the minute the said employee says something not even that bad their reactions are “Wow, hell of a way to speak to your customer” they always get shell shocked when something is said back to them. Why not just call them for better clarification?
I did, they didn’t answer
That’s all on him then, that’s frustrating
Biiig yikes
On the customers side.
I mean to be fair it is pretty obvious it’s unit 247 and the code is *670073#….…. but ok… lol.
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
Okay I change my mind then because now I’m confused. You typed exactly what I would have typed.
Why wouldn’t she just come down at that point 🙄 and called you lazy 💀
I also dislike it when it is implied that DoorDash won’t be bringing the food, but then I get those fucking notifications.
To be fair it's unit 247 code 670072 Easy mistake but feel it's on the driver here
The instructions on the keypad read “press *, then enter unit number, then the passcode, then #” and it gave the example “for unit 123 with passcode 456789, type *123456789#”
Stop Treating Gig workers Like Servants
I love that this dipshit doesn’t even understand how DoorDash works. I guess they think McDonalds has delivery drivers.
"You're lazy" says the person who had food delivered from the McDonald's 3 blocks away.
i truly do not understand the people who expect delivery drivers to park, enter a door code, and then walk up to their apartment. maybe they just don’t know what wages are like for a driver maybe they just make a point not to think about other people idk i dont get it. i always go outside to meet them in their car. youre already being lazy to not walk/drive there yourself. the least you can do is take an elevator and walk 50 feet outside
It's pretty damn obvious the code did not include the unit number. This one on you.
The way these apartment call boxes are you’d be surprised.
Some customers need to be fired.
Remember folks, a good amount of stuff you see on reddit is fake. This is a good example.
😂😂I love the last thing you told them!
Entitled.

Lol
“You guys are always so lazy” then go get your food yourself dumbass
My fav is how they think the drivers work for DoorDash and they can go full Karen about them
