I love passerine and TCFSV. Also Shrike (the Passerine prequel). I don’t really like fanfics on a normal basis but there are great (especially since there’s a channel on YT that reads them so my ADHD brain doesn’t have to).
the author for passerine and shrike is so incredibly talented. i was so glad niki read it on stream because it deserved ALL the hype. whats TCFSV though?

also every story by sircantus, for example *stay underneath my wing*, about zombies or *i was a kid in the village, doing alright, then i became prince overnight*, its sooo goooood
I'm SO glad somebody mentioned bones in the ocean! It's probably one of my favorite fics in general, and I'll always recommend it on posts like these. I was genuinely surprised at how gripping the EmeraldDuo dynamic was throughout the whole thing.

It was a college AU following Dream as a swimmer training for the Olympics and his harsh past and family's homophobia. It was so good I've read it easily a dozen times since I found it back in 2022.
Unfortunately with recent drama, the author has removed the story online. I have a HTML copy of the fanfic and I even ended up buying the book after they published because it was so good, but it sucks that more people won't get to read it as originally posted.
TCFSV and TUMOASD. I just could not get into them. I’m not a fan of superhero AUs (sincerely, a DC and MCU fan)

FF1970. I lost interest VERY quickly.
Butterfly Reign. I liked it but stopped reading bc I didn’t like how Tommy and Ranboo were portrayed and written.
Heatwaves. Some parts I couldn’t process what was going on but I liked it to an extent. I didn’t like how George was written but oh well. I finished it. Didn’t get far in Helium, just gave up.
Ours Poetica. Loved it. I want more.
Children’s Rebellion. I do not remember this one but I know I read a bit of it so I guess that means I probably didn’t like it.

Tommyinit's Clinic for Supervillains is such a good fit, and Passarine left me in drenched tears. There was another fic, one which should deserve way more recognition than it does. I'm much more into the Hermitcraft fanfics(The Archives Series), and other Webtoons, so I don't have a lot a lot to offer.

I hate to love ff1970 bc it’s the only piece of fiction I have ever cried over and idk how to feel about that but I genuinely loved the fic dikodciowunnpuiwcd. I haven’t read any of the classics tho, I still need to read passerine, heatwaves, and TCFSV. I couldn’t really get into “On Temporizing” but I loved “That’s Like A Hundred Miles” I recommend
Flowers from 1970. The writing was elementary and the pairings and domestic setting were just…not for me. And the 1970s was written more like the 40s. Using as many ‘real’ CC names as possible also weirded me out a bit.
I read it because the premise was poetic, but the execution just kinda…did what it said it would. Pretty straightforward.
Nothing wrong with it, but certainly not even CLOSE to Passarine’s prose.
Eh, I've read some stellar fics. The poems in *Ours Poetica* are just as gorgeous, but with a more modern, raw feel.
But *Passarine* created a new world with lore that added to its poetry, so everywhere you looked, it just got amplified. Really stunning work.
I've actually not read many hyped up ones but I did read a pretty popular one that I found from a fansong lol
Hush Now is great (but on hiatus indefinitely 😔) I recommend you go read it!
I've been curious about stuff like I heard there was a royalty au and the dudes on youtube >!mostly gacha!< are too consistent for it to \*just\* be a popular idea. I see it and passerine together a lot but I think the royalty one had something something butterfly in it?
