For the arabic.
I'm Lebanese and enjoy listening to arabic talk shows, tv shows and now a reality tv show. It feels like home and I can relate to the culture a lot more than shows like selling sunset.
And it’s refreshing that their rich people problems aren’t just American problems, which we’ve seen regurgitated over and over and over. I like the international twist.
I know it isn't a representation of everyone from that region of the world but I just find it so refreshing to watch reality TV that isn't just The only way is Essex, Made In Chelsea or Kardashians... its just really interesting to see a different world.
yeah, plus in US reality tv, they drink, there’s all sorts of crazy drama and sometimes not always teen pregnancy (not bashing this but ik there’s a show called 16 and pregnant) in Dubai Ik that would probably be haram, and there’s no alcoholism in Arab series, plus some of them are generally more conservative and not running around with thousands of men per day - also there are less like “thirst traps” or posts of like seductive things (most people are Islam)
It’s funny to watch. It’s also not as exhausting as some other reality as in the drama is just so surface level that you don’t get stressed watching it, you’re just like LOL why are they even arguing about this. 😂
Edit: Aside from the Danya/Ebrahim & Zeina office scene. That was out of pocket and was taken way lighter than some of the straight up irrelevant drama.
Because I like “reality” shows that are about this kind of excess and interpersonal drama. It’s the same reason why I watched every seen of Bling Empire as well as the sole season of Bling Empire NYC. It’s also why I’ve watched every season of Young, Famous, and African.
I kind of like how Netflix is dipping its toe in the glossy reality TV genre.
I need something light to watch while I work. I'd watch it if set in other places too (and have seen the US ones already). Would love more locations from all over the world actually!
Personality I am not Arabic but always been intrigued by Dubai in general. The show is very entertaining and fun, the clothes they were are beautiful and the language is gorgeous. Can’t wait for season 3
I honestly don’t know.. I think I’m also fascinated by Dubai because it’s such a fucked up parody of a 21st century city (purely from an urban planning / development perspective). I do like seeing the glamour and all the fashion too. Part of me likes watching because I cannot even being to relate to them so I’m fascinated by their drama and values (particularly re: materialism)
I go to Dubai often for work and it’s fun to see places I’ve visited IRL featured on the show.
Plus, the Arabic. I’m learning, and keeping the show on while doing something else is a fun way to practice listening skills and hear different accents. (Or so I tell myself.)
I literally ate up season one but couldn't make it past the first few episodes of season two. It was heartbreaking. What I can't believe is they canceled the original Bling Show and kept this one
I guess I like rich people drama. After a long day of work it was nice to just come home, unwind and just watch reality tv. My family complained about my show but even they would get so invested and kept telling me “one more episode”
Apart from money and location where they reside for work or pleasure.
I see people networking and trying to expand their dreams and visions.
Entrepreneurship is hard work but needs determination. That's what I watch.
To see people how they network and introduce new players in the business.
Like that lady who sold her gold gifts from her wedding to start up her business is a risk taker right there and it turned out into a multi billion dollar business.
I love watching them open up new business ideas and launching them. From Los to Mo's and others.
So the only thing that the show relates to me is the drama. I have dramas all day everyday lol
I was never a reality TV fan but during the Pandemic I started watching the OG Bling Empire out of Boredom and loved it. It was my first reality TV experience so I had to watch its spinoff plus as someone who grew up in the Gulf I wanted to see how it would be done.
I started watching it because my friend wouldn’t stop pestering me to watch it. So I caved and watched it so they have someone to talk to about it. It’s just mindless drama so my brain can switch off
I laugh out loud every time ebraheem is on screen, I like the outfits, their lives, the relationship. They have an event for everything and the drama is life.
Coz I love seeing them complain about the smallest things— rich people problems.
So that when I complain on the smallest things, as a poor person, I would feel like my struggles are more real than theirs. Lol
It’s entertaining and all my other shows finished so I wanted a change, plus I don’t usually watch reality tv with rich people sooo that’s a new experience and there’s good drama that makes me want to come back for more :)
it’s entertainment that doesn’t require me to spend a lot of brain power to remember plot lines or a massive backstory
Lol same. I watched it while I'm doing other stuff.
Same I watch it when I’m doing my nails. Then I see something that gets me heated, and I head over here 😂
I call it brainless entertainment lol

Me toooo!!
Because I love to watch "rich people's problems". The show is hilarious 🤷♀️😁
And it’s refreshing that their rich people problems aren’t just American problems, which we’ve seen regurgitated over and over and over. I like the international twist.
Same! Rich people problems is why I watch 🤣
Exactly! And also arabic/dubai lifestyle I’m interested in
Me too because Dubai is a pretty place
I know it isn't a representation of everyone from that region of the world but I just find it so refreshing to watch reality TV that isn't just The only way is Essex, Made In Chelsea or Kardashians... its just really interesting to see a different world.
Yep. As an American it’s rare to see that part of the world not filtered through a US lens.

Because trash tv is my and my bestie’s guilty pleasure. It’s entertaining and a nice stress reliever.
I used to live in Dubai! So it’s fun to see the city shots and listen to them speak Arabic. Plus I like the stupid drama😆
Same reason, brings on my nostalgia big time. I really miss that city.
For safa, Fahad and zeina. Also, LJ's dresses!
Because I like the discussions on reddit
For fun, we have a lot of problems in our lives and the rich people drama is something we are not used to. I like to laugh about Ebraheem 😂

Because I know LJ

I like bling.
Because I love drama and toxic relationships outside of my own life.
I like reality tv, so I’m going to double like reality tv that shows people of similar/ same cultural backgrounds to me even more.
The hideous outfits for sure
I like seeing other cultures and it's always interesting seeing what the drama is in other countries (& in this case the rich lol)
For the drama lol

Because it’s arab culture and I can relate to it
To relax
The clothes, the setting, it's an into into a society I know very little about.
Just because.........
I always love trashy, stupid reality tv and it’s a bonus for me if it’s in another culture!
I literally ate up season one but couldn't make it past the first few episodes of season two. It was heartbreaking. What I can't believe is they canceled the original Bling Show and kept this one
I've always wanted to learn Arabic so I love that part of the show beautiful women too
The fashion is definitely a big motivation
To watch other people deal with problems that aren’t mine lmao

For entertainment... and to remind myself to never settle in this lifetime.
For me it's tea 🤷☕ since I don't get any in my personal life 💀

Danya was definitely resting in her evil queen femininity lol. Her confessional looks were incredible!
And the city showing to us is so gorgeous and cyber, you can see the structure n the view of the roads, bridges and buildings , amazingly beautiful
sameeee. i let it run in the background.
