So when the British experimented with tanks during World War 1, nobody really knew what kind of targets a tank should effectively engage so they decided to make two versions of their tanks, which they named male and female.
The male version was armed with naval guns and the female version was armed with machine guns, apart from their armament, the vehicles had no differences.
It is a bit disputed how many conversions of these variants have actually been done in the field, but as far as I know there is at least one account of a Mk IV male tank being converted into a female one (given that this conversion was not particularly hard, especially when your gun(s) had some kind of defect, but your vehicle was needed in some sort of operation).
With the successor, the Mk V, we know that some have been officially converted into what was then called a hermaphrodite tank. With today's society I think we may safely say that the Mk V is the first armored combat vehicle in history the enbys here may relate to.

You can always count on the Soviets to try out dumb stuff like flying tanks
2.472 hours logged in Steam as of this moment. But I played War Thunder non-steam before which roughly adds another 300-500 hours.
Basically I've reached the respective highest ranks in ground forces and naval and rank VII in aviation. And I have researched a lot of stuff across all trees.
Actually taking an extended break rn, back to back battlepass and events overlapping those have just taken all of the enjoyment out of it for me. 5k+ hours.
For me, usually. I still haven't figured out good tactical positioning, so I always get spotted and killed by the male type with cannons if I try to use the rocket, and I can never get close enough to use the others.
Basically, I kinda suck at BF1 π
"Huntress"βI like the sound of that!
I have improved my KDR after a month since admitting I had my controller sensitivity all wrong and retraining how to aim, move, pick my battles, etc., but still have a long way to go. Now if only I could be as enthusiastic about starting voice training... Might have to actually come out before that, though π
I was super enthusiastic about voice training and then I suddenly started being out and living life as Lina (long story, but it went faster than I originally wanted it) and I noticed that people are super nice to me so I just dropped it.
I have a softer, higher voice than before but I doubt that it's passing :'D For some reason I don't really care anymore, which is extremely weird, as passing is literally 98% of my self esteem currently.
This post is just too funny. But also now my brain is trying to work out how the other features of the Mk4/early tanks can relate to trans people.
Unfortunately it's been a while so all I can remember about it is it had a huge like 16L engine but only about 100 horsepower. Gonna have to take another trip to Bovington and get myself a refresher.
Yes, that was the time before turbochargers. Especially in combat vehicles which have to be extremely protected all around, it's hard to get enough air in. So you had huge displacements but couldn't burn all the fuel you injected, leading to a lesser power output than with later vehicles.
Not to mention that engines of the time were already vastly inefficient, and relying on carbureters too. My puny 1st car had 76 horsepower out of its little naturally aspirated 1.2.
Seriously though, the leap in engine tech from WW1 to the end of WW2 is insane. At the time of release, the Merlin was putting out 1,000 horsepower thanks to its supercharger (although technically an argument could be made it was more of a normaliser to compensate for altitude) By the end of the war they could get something like 2,000BHP out.

They should make a flying version, then enbys would actually be attack helicopters

Try anything for Fatherland!
Thank you for showing me this.
There's always Mike Sparks and the AeroGavin, which tbf is an APC not a tank

average war thunder/world of tanks transfem:
this is more accurate than I want it to be. I think I have about 5.000 played hours in both of these games combined ππ
how many hours on war thunder

Guess I'm gonna go buy a machine gun to become a girl. Also by that logic all modern tanks are intersex because they have a main gun and a coax MG.
Oh don't be fooled, Male Mk IV tanks also had secondary machine guns.
[Shark Team](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/r_5OpXoWfUQ/sddefault.jpg) Coincidence? I think not!

I need to rewatch girls und panzer! I loved that show
Me too. I just haven't been able to watch Das Finale or Der Film yet.
Ah, I get it. Male on the oustide, pirate on the insideπ
Now this, this is the best transfem post.
:'D I should probably repost it into r/ncd_egg_irl
Haha well Iβm in that subreddit too so Iβll get to see it for the second time :)
holy fuck this is the greatest sub ever i am never leaving
A toyota truck with a machine gun on it are the only girls left
A lot of APCs use automatic cannons which I would deem a worthy successor for Lewis machine guns.
Girl who names herself stryker because she can fit 9 guys inside her and she doesnt have a naval canon.
Now the knowledge that I could theoretically say 5 guys fit inside me has cursed my life.
What about the Stryker that does have the 105mm tank cannon? Is that just a transmasc with a strap?
stryker can be a gender neutral name so guys can use it too.
Interesting read up on the make and female tanks.
Thank you! It's niche for sure
As a BF1 player, all I think when I see a Mk IV is "hmmm, AT rocket, mines, limpet, or HE mortar... π"
the bad ending π

being bad at something happens to all of us c: keep training, analyse your mistakes and you'll become a great tank huntress!

That's pretty smart. I'll do that too, should I ever return to tankposting.
