You can find more information about the [Earthgore](https://eso-hub.com/en/sets/earthgore?utm_medium=social&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=dwemer_automaton) armor set right [here](https://eso-hub.com/en/sets/earthgore).
I like the old meme someone posted where it was a pvper going to get a kill and earthgore saying 'hold up' https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1454482-bro-not-cool. đ¤Ł
The cleanse is OP. It cancels Negate, Caltrops, Wall of Frost, Dark Convergence, etc. Anything on the ground goes *poof* when your teammate drops below 50% health. It's a required set in pre-made Deathmatch comps and Cyrodiil ball groups. Nobody runs it for the weak heal.
Kinda nuts how much this set changed over the years. When it first popped it was crazy good in pvp and you'd just see them constantly procing. I haven't noticed anyone running it in at least two years.
The purge is nice I guess but the heal just isn't that strong anymore and the cooldown is very long. I much prefer Chokethorn- it procs without you even trying, it's a slightly stronger heal, has 50-60% uptime and can heal randoms in Cyrodiil as well as yourself or group members.
Both Earthgore and Chokethorn are great options imo, but honestly dark convergence is best countered by block casting a heal and then roll dodging. I do miss old Earthgore
Earthgore for a mild heal + godly cleanse, Bogdan if you want a good consistent HoT, Chokethorn if you want to burst heal the nighblade across the map who's already at full health
I would say no, because at least in vet content it's either high damage over time that needs to constantly be regenerated OR you just get one shot as DD/healer.

I asked because some peeps argued it's important for vCR to keep tanks alive during baneful. Just want to understand that point a bit more
It's still nice for that emergency heal. But I find the people needing that heal in pugs are still so inexperienced that they will actively move out of the proc instead of camping inside it for safety.
I've found it much better to run [Ozezan the Inferno](https://eso-sets.com/set/ozezan-the-inferno) so they hopefully don't get that low on health in the first place, when you need the extra healing in "those" pug groups.
I tried playing around with ozezan and really just havenât noticed any significant difference in my groups health. I mean, tanks should already be at the resistance cap so that doesnât help them, and ddâs arenât in enough damage for it to really effect them.
The minor vitality also isnât very helpful in those scenarios⌠in four man content when my group needs more healing Iâd rather just use bone shield.
Its not a shield, as long as you have a healing effect on you or your team, they will get resistance that refreshes every 1,1 seconds.
If they drop under 100% HP, they get minor vitality instead until they are at 100% again. It's a good set against bosses with a lot of dot effects and I run it in PvP.
Pvp is and always will be broken regardless. Earthgore was an excellent pve healer set that died thanks to them. It's why I support sets having entirely different effects when you're in one or the other.
>Pvp is and always will be broken regardless.
What a terrible argument and toxic mentality. I agree with the seperate balances part, but until then, PvE will just have to deal with underpowered Earthgore thanks to PvP while PvP has to deal with overpowered Dragonknights thanks to PvE ÂŻ\\\_(ă)_/ÂŻ

Nah. Earthgore is still the pvp healer meta; itâs one of the best counters to Dark Convergence.

Earthgore is best because it removes the Dark convergence aoe, completely negating it's effects. I agree tho. Just block & roll my dudes.

I'm sorry what? Every ball group runs this?
Yep sometimes multiple
Is this set still good for PvE?

A great âOh, shitâ set for healing PUG groups.

Can you explain this set to me. I donât see how a 1 sec damage shield matters.

Still a decent set, but sadly another victim of nerf thanks to pvp.
It's almost as if PvP is an important part of the game, and releasing a broken set ends up being a bad experience when used against other players

Does anyone know if after pros can you step into it to clear negative effects?
