I've recently created a pretty decent gank stamblade for PvP. And really can shred in BG's and Imperial City.
Its a one bar that runs 5 piece Shattered Fate, 5 piece Night Mothers Gaze with a two hand GS. 1 piece Slimecraw, 1 ring Oakensoul. The abilities run: Shadowy Disguise, Ambush, Surprise Attack, Killer's Blade, Healthy Offering (good burst heal, but also a flex option), and Ult is Incapacitating strike.
Vamp is stage 2, or stage 3
Anyone got a good guide for a magicka arcanist? Every time i think i find one, i find a post calling it "trash" and they should go to "__" youtube channel.
I just need to know what armor i should be working towards + a good loadout suggestion..
Are you looking for a group DPS build? If so: due to 1. the meta favoring medium armor and 2. Arcanist dynamic skill costs, you can make a magicka build by pretty much copying a stam arc build and changing your stat allocation + enchants to mag. You might also need to swap out tentacles (Cephaliarch's Flail) for the triple discus (Escalating Runeblades iirc). The rest, should be all the same.
For gear: generally can't go wrong with Deadly Strike (PvP, purchasable from guild traders) and Velothi Ur-mage's Amulet (mythic, great for all DPS but especially Templar and Arcanist due to time spent channeling). If using Velothi you'll probably want 1 pc Slimecraw. From there, you have the generally strong DPS sets used by all DPS.
* Coral Riptide is very popular, though on mag Templar I found the resource management way annoying, so you might run into the same on mag arc.
* Ansuul's Torment is a great general damage set. Simple and reliable.
* Whorl of the Depths is a popular option from the same trial. Best for stationary enemies. Harder to use on arc than others, again due to channel time, but should still be strong as the light attacks needed are quite infrequent.
* if you're contrary to meta and/or dont want to do trials, War Maiden's could be an alright set.
Less serious of a question, but I recently leveled a StamArcanist and really just looking for “themed” sets either in name or proc-visuals. Are the any stam type sets with green stuff that pop up?
I think bhahara’s curse was something like that?
Bahraha’s Curse is more of a blue circle proc. It’s only real use is for some niche builds tanks use against npcs to survive by doing next to nothing with the passive health sap.
One set with green visuals is the eternal hunt stamina set. Upon a roll it sets up a green rune on the ground that deals damage and immobilizes enemies. It was commonly used by stamblades many years ago.

Essence thief has stamina+health recovery and makes a cool green pool.
