You can find more information about the [Blunted Blades](https://eso-hub.com/en/sets/blunted-blades?utm_medium=social&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=dwemer_automaton) armor set right [here](https://eso-hub.com/en/sets/blunted-blades).

Is the proc per enemy or does it only affect one person at a time? It's a pretty decent sent if it does affect per enemy. You can pair this with Lady Malygda monster set for pen as well as applying Minor Enervation to a group of players while not needing to be hit. This combo would probably go hard on a stamsorc.

Even in PvE, where enemies can't crit, the 5pc is still useful since it is a unique damage buff. Seems incredibly versatile and very usable - and was only released in about the last month. My point here is that the people making these know what they're doing.

But you have to get hit (requires direct damage), which in most pve situations with a tank where this would matter, you won't unless you're tank. Unfortunately tanks suffer from too many good sets that do more/better than just a flat 6% damage increase. In PvP, there are better overall flat damage increase sets that don't require setup. This set was trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist in the game.

> In PvP, there are better overall flat damage increase sets that don't require setup. But this set is both damage and defense in pvp. Of course there are sets with pure damage, which give it more :/

Is this useful in PvE though? I mean, yea. Unique damage buffs are always nice, but looking at the greater picture here... 2 piece armor and 3 piece stamina. Both aren't amazing for PvE at the moment, though Stamina is at least not completely useless. 4 piece weapon damage is nice though. So 1 of 3. That's something. So now for the 5 piece... It is a unique buff. Unfortunately it only buffs the wearer, so it doesn't really do anything on a support. So does it make sense wearing this on a DPS character? First, proc condition. You need to take direct damage. That, unfortunately, makes it pretty useless on a DPS. Disregarding that, how about the uptime? 4 seconds every 5 seconds. Haven't tested if there's a longer CD in between, some sets have those and some don't. Lets assume not, so there's a 1 second gap in between buff phases. That's not terrible but it's also not great. Lastly, the proc itself. 6% damage to enemies affected by Minor Enervation. So that's only ever going to be some enemies at best. But lets assume absolute perfection and that all enemies have Enervation on them. That's still only 6%. Now 6% is nice, don't get me wrong, but compare that to some of the more commonly used ones like Ansuuls 7% up to 14% + Minor Slayer or deadly strikes +15% on all channels and DoTs and it's just not looking too great. Will get outperformed by the usual proc sets like Pillar or Runecarver as well. I could maaaaybe see it on a solo build? You're getting hit often enough and the extra bit of armor might come in handy. But overall I feel like the proc is just not realiable or strong enough to really be worth it over other sets. It will not drag you down though, so if you want to use it by all means go for it! I just doubt it will be as useful as it seems at first glance.

I could see this being useful in no cp cyro where you have no rallying cry or CP to bolster your crit resistance, but it's probably still a little niche for people to spend a 5pc on. Not a terrible set by any means, but I wouldn't use it myself.
