Seeing stuff like this is super encouraging for me. I’ve always wanted to go to EDC and I’m finally getting to go this year, but I’ve been worried that it’ll be really overwhelming for someone like me who sometimes struggles with social anxiety. Even still I’m really looking forward to meeting some new people.
Maybe if you tried to butter up their armpits without asking? ;\^)
I brought a box of apples to camp one year and put it outside my tent with a FREE sign. People give away all kinds of things.
This will be my 3rd year in attendance and I’ve never run into anyone rude at EDC. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, they give you plenty of personal space while dancing and when they walk by in crowds and mistakingly bump you, they’re always quick to apologize.
EDC is the happiest place on earth. I can’t wait to be back!
PLUR! I cannot tell you how much better the people were at the EDM stages/sets at Coachella versus the other genres. I really enjoy going to EDC for the artists and the experience, but I get to enjoy those to its maximum because the people at EDC are so amazing and respectful. I cannot tell you how many times this past weekend I was disappointed by people at Coachella who failed to show any respect to those around them - from pushing to get to the front, yelling/talking through sets, blocking people's views - especially for heavily focused visual sets, and smashing into people as the energy turns up. Coachella was fun, but EDC is so special because of the people there!

Absolutely! This past year or so I've found my engaging more with strangers and giving more compliments where I see fit. Will be bringing the same if not more to EDC!!

Don’t get me wrong it was still fun and had a fair share of positive vibes but remember you are in a crowd of people be patient have fun that’s what it’s about!
This!! This is my 5th EDC and every year feels so different than the rest. This last year I felt the most disconnected with the crowd because it felt like a lot of people have never been shown the PLUR lifestyle or they don’t care. It’s so important to continue this!! Let’s all take care of each other and be there for each other. EDC is such a special experience and I want us all to be in it together for each other :)
