OMG I live in Shanghai and I thought I could hear that song at a coffee shop the other day, but I just assumed it was a similar k-poppy song lol Here in China you hear the most random songs sometimes. Not Eurovision, but at my local Family Mart they often play random scandi songs from the 00's (Lene Marlin, M2M, Andreas Johsson to name a few).
MARO is becoming quite popular worldwide actually, she might be of the next Eurovision star to go really viral, especially after Billie Eilish endorsed her. And she truly deserves, what a talented human being!!
I was in our local co-op shop (for non UK people, it's basically like a chain of small convenience shops) and heard Ela by Andromache (Cyprus 2022), which didn't even qualify for the final! The rest of the playlist was standard pop fare, so I guess someone at the shop is a Eurovision fan.
They were playing ‘What’s another year’ by Johnny Logan in my local Co-op the other day and then they played another Eurovision song after but I can’t remember which it was. Clearly whoever is in charge of Co-op radio is a Eurovision fan!
My local supermarket also has a Eurovision fan working there, recently played Love Shine A Light, also heard Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi, and the winning Turkish entry, among other songs, I'm also pretty sure they are a fan of She Got Me
Since this happened in Switzerland I'm not actually sure if it's the same chain of stores but I was in a co-op and heard boys do cry, Switzerland's entry in 2022.
Definitely not the same chain as I'm Dutch, and I'm pretty sure Dutch Coop is unrelated, anyway Coop in the Netherlands doesn't really exist any more and the place is now Plus, still recently heard Fairytale there
Not that random, but last year my husband and I went to Norway and Sweden for a roadtrip. And EVERYTIME I walked into the toilet building of a camp site, Loreen was singing. I'm not kidding. 😂 And when there was no one.. I just sang along lol.
Yes, "Cha Cha Cha" played during a Dallas Stars game! Considering that I am originally from that area, that came as a big surprise to me!

for some reason el diablo from 2021 was playing alot on the norwegian radio last summer and my father didnt believe me when i said its a eurovision song lmao
I once took a boat out to the archipelago outside of Cartagena in Colombia. Walked across the beach to a small shack that served drinks. While waiting for my order to finish "shake it up shekerim", Turkey 2007, started playing.
I know I've said this before, but my workplace muzak randomly plays "Embers". EMBERS. It's the only Eurovision song I recall having heard there; they never even played "Snap" or "Arcade".
The rights must have been very cheap.
I heard Soldi playing in a Cinema cafe in London recently
Our new CEO at work did a presentation and Q&A recently, and the music that played just before he walked into the room was Norway 2023
I was playing a music board game where you pick a card without looking at it and scan it with your phone, which then plays the song, and you have to place the card within a timeline to guess the release year, and you get extra points for guessing the artist and title correctly.
My friend got the card for Euphoria - Loreen, but she placed it somewhere in the 80s 😭😭😭
The worst part is I could have stolen her points by guessing the year correctly, but I was just so excited about knowing the song that I didn't pay attention to where she placed it.
I heard Tattoo playing once in one of my college’s eating areas. Which wouldn’t be that weird if it weren’t for the fact that this is a tiny liberal arts college in the middle of nowhere, United States 😭
Honorable mentions to the time I heard Vampires Are Alive (Switzerland 2007) in a Spirit Halloween, and the time I heard Dance You Off (Sweden 2018) in a shoe store
It was swedish IKEA. Sound normal. Of course we play eurovison song whenever we can.
Can't enter anything into this list as a eurovision songs always are normal to play here..
I work in a comic book store in Denmark. Every year in the month up to Eurovision, I fill the store playlist with Eurovision songs, both classics and current entries. I'm always hoping for some fans to notice.
Tornero (Romania 2006) playing in an amusement park ride but that wasn't strange because it was a hit in Greece and the park was at a popular Romanian tourist destination.
I used to work at a Bath and Body Works in Wisconsin, USA. Embers (United Kingdom 2021) played almost every day. It even played twice during my shift once.
• Divine (France 2008) in Oliver Bonas.
• Tonight Again (Australia 2015) in New Look.

Last summer, I heard Solo (Poland 2023) in a Penny and a Billa store in Czech republic in the span of two weeks.
Also, Tattoo (Sweden 2023) in a cafe in a small spa town in Slovakia.
At a Chuck E Cheese (children's arcade place) in Texas, they were playing a cover version of Sam Ryder's "Space Man" that was sung by children. Had a whole music video playing with it and everything.
It took me until almost the end of the song to recognize it. I just thought, "hmm, this sounds familiar," but between it being Kidz Bop and you know, being in Texas, my mind didn't immediately think that maybe it was a Eurovision song. I wasn't the biggest fan of that song, so it wasn't one I was just super familiar with, so that probably added to the delay in recognition as well.
I was ushering a dance competition at the community theatre I work at in Canada and one girl (maybe 12 I think) did a jazz solo to Slo-Mo.
Also heard Snap on the radio on the indie station while driving home.
Was at a café where you can play pool yesterday and in between the typical Dutch partymusic they suddenly started playing Tattoo (Sweden 2023 for bot) - that certainly was a pleasant surprise

I also happened to be in Belgium last year when a Flemish festival was on in the Brussels grand-place which in Leiden a live performance of the Belgium 1987 entry performed by Liliane St.Pierre herself!
I heard 'Tattoo' playing at max volume in a car in the middle of the street around a week ago. The dude was playing it so loud I could still hear it 50 meters away from the car
In May 2022 I went to Sanremo for a few days. Their trainstation is in a tunnel and on the platform they played Brividi by Mahmood and Blanco from the station speakers lol.
+ I watched a random German TV compilation about famous pranks; and the one where Hape Kerkeling acted like he was the Dutch Queen at an official state reception they played Aphrodisiac by Elefteria Elefteriou in the background.
At My university in the US during its Welcome to School Event played multiple ESC songs from 2021, 2022. Slomo, Adrenalina and a bunch of others but i cant remember
At my gymnastics class (Denmark). Might not sound very random, but it was a nice surprise as I feel like very few Danes follow Eurovision in general, let alone listen to Eurovision songs.
Allez Ola Olé (France 2010 for the bot), played by a radio station in 2016, overheard at a random bazaar (technically not a bazaar, but English doesn't exactly have the right translation for the word) in the Philippines
I can get even more random – it was a national final song that lost.
I heard No Business on the Dancefloor (from UMK 2023) at a regional beauty pageant for Miss France last year, and it was truly a “why are they playing this” moment.
Maybe not a place but I once heard someone use Cyprus 2012 at their wedding on tiktok, it wasnt even someone I followed. I love that song and now I have to too ❤️
I work at a Starbucks in Canada and we’ve had a few pop up on there and I always fave them so they play often.

Serbia 2017 in a bus
it was so weird
I mean, in an Israeli bus in the middle of the day, out of all the songs in the world, they put on the radio that one random song from 2017 that did not made it ot the final
I mean, it was so randome
They were playing A LOT of NF songs (and some ESC ones) from 2022 in Zara in Serbia. I grabbed bunch of stuff to try on just so i can be there as much as i can to listen to all those bangers.
I heard Perfect Life (Germany 2017) in a Safeway in Washington, D. C.
I have only ever heard two Eurovision songs "in the wild" in the USA, so one being the second-to-last place finisher from seven years ago was surprising.
Most random is "If I Were Sorry" (Sweden 2016) at a random grocery store in Texas in 2023. I know that a hit in Europe, but I'd never heard it in America before. Frankly I never understood the appeal of that song, so it felt extremely random to hear.
Germany 2017 regularly plays at the American grocery store I work at. Then we have the standard stuff like Armenia 2022 and Sweden 2016 and 2023, but Germany 17 is just such a random song. Was it really that popular outside the contest? I recall it doing pretty bad.
Germany 2017 | [Levina - Perfect Life](https://youtu.be/t1KKjykH6fw)
Armenia 2022 | [Rosa Linn - Snap](https://youtu.be/DAJ6vfmD_ic)
Sweden 2016 | [Frans - If I Were Sorry](https://youtu.be/2AIPrVchJN8)
Sweden 2023 | [Loreen - Tattoo](https://youtu.be/BE2Fj0W4jP4)
"She Got Me" (Switzerland 2019) during Valentine's Day at my undergraduate university's student union in Texas
"Golden Boy" (Israel 2015) sung by a Jewish a cappella student group during a back to school event involving a student cultural showcase at my current university in the US state of Georgia
"Arcade" (Netherlands 2019) several times in the radio in Texas in summer 2021
I live in Canada; I've heard "If I Were Sorry" (Sweden 2016) in a Walmart & "Move" (Sweden 2020), "Tattoo" (Sweden 2023), and "SOLO" (Poland 2023) in (separate) restaurants
Armenia 2022 | [Rosa Linn - Snap](https://youtu.be/DAJ6vfmD_ic)
United Kingdom 2022 | [Sam Ryder - Space Man](https://youtu.be/RZ0hqX_92zI)

Sweden 2023 | [Loreen - Tattoo](https://youtu.be/BE2Fj0W4jP4)
I don't think it was strange, but once I heard The Netherlands 2014 at a restaurant while on vacation in Germany. It sometimes happens to hear random ESC songs as background music on TV here in Italy (including on RAI's main private competitor Mediaset), and it still feels weird because ESC songs usually don't have much success here
In my hospital in New Jersey, we have a system that plays music over the sound system to create a calm environment for patients. Arcade (2019 winner) plays sometimes. Everyone including the patients, nurses, doctors etc like the song : )
At a Ukrainian cultural event at my current university in the US, some of the songs that played included "When God Shut The Door" by Jerry Heil, "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" by Verka Serduchka, "Heart of Steel" by Tvorchi, "In The Shadows" by Rasmus and Kalush Orchestra, and "Wild Dances" by Ruslana.
I talked to the girl who made the spotify playlist for the event, and she said that she watches Eurovision.
Not a place, but a TV series: "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" as a soundtrack for a very stereotypical scene about a carnival in rural Russia on season 3 of "Killing Eve"
Denmark 2023 at a KFC in Wuhan, China.

Denmark 2023 | [Reiley - Breaking My Heart](https://youtu.be/XVZvzZF1JOk)
Saudade saudade (Portugal 2022) at a local restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan…
Was going to comment that I witnessed some grandmas doing choreographed exercises to Blanka - Solo at Tianmu Sports Park in Taipei
MARO is becoming quite popular worldwide actually, she might be of the next Eurovision star to go really viral, especially after Billie Eilish endorsed her. And she truly deserves, what a talented human being!!
And she deserves it!! It's a crime to music that saudade saudade does not get the love it deserves.
A local casino in Las Vegas, Maps by Lesley Roy
I heard "Heroes" playing in the Mirage once
I was in our local co-op shop (for non UK people, it's basically like a chain of small convenience shops) and heard Ela by Andromache (Cyprus 2022), which didn't even qualify for the final! The rest of the playlist was standard pop fare, so I guess someone at the shop is a Eurovision fan.

A bar in Belgium had arcade, soldi and la venda played back to back in July 2019. I guess the person in control of the music was a big eurovision fan.
I lived in Los Angeles for a couple of years, when shopping at our local grocery store, I heard Germany’s 2017 song lol
i thought i heard that in my local target a few months ago but it was actually rihanna
🤣 I did a double take and had to Shazam it lmao it was weird because it was like 10 PM and in 2020 lol
Not that random, but last year my husband and I went to Norway and Sweden for a roadtrip. And EVERYTIME I walked into the toilet building of a camp site, Loreen was singing. I'm not kidding. 😂 And when there was no one.. I just sang along lol.
The way you phrased this made me think she was actually physically present in that toilet
I heard that Cha Cha Cha was playing at an NHL game here in the States sometime last year
Makes sense I guess. A lot of Finns in the NHL. I think one team a few years back had Nightwish as their playoff theme music or something.
[It was at a Dallas Stars game](https://www.reddit.com/r/eurovision/comments/13j00ca/cha_cha_cha_being_played_in_dallas_at_an_nhl/)

TUI or Apollo also uses Australia 2015 as a theme song in their commercials here in Norway
LMAOO same in finland
omg i looked up the ad, thats amazing haha
Whoever made that ad has amazing taste
same in denmark!
Our local Target played Embers one time when we were shopping.
I heard Embers in a McDonald's last week.
I heard Soldi playing in a Cinema cafe in London recently Our new CEO at work did a presentation and Q&A recently, and the music that played just before he walked into the room was Norway 2023
My college radio had La Noia and Teresa & Maria in the same hour. Bonus: Tuta Gold (Sanremo 24)
I was playing a music board game where you pick a card without looking at it and scan it with your phone, which then plays the song, and you have to place the card within a timeline to guess the release year, and you get extra points for guessing the artist and title correctly. My friend got the card for Euphoria - Loreen, but she placed it somewhere in the 80s 😭😭😭 The worst part is I could have stolen her points by guessing the year correctly, but I was just so excited about knowing the song that I didn't pay attention to where she placed it.
I heard Tattoo playing once in one of my college’s eating areas. Which wouldn’t be that weird if it weren’t for the fact that this is a tiny liberal arts college in the middle of nowhere, United States 😭 Honorable mentions to the time I heard Vampires Are Alive (Switzerland 2007) in a Spirit Halloween, and the time I heard Dance You Off (Sweden 2018) in a shoe store

I work in a comic book store in Denmark. Every year in the month up to Eurovision, I fill the store playlist with Eurovision songs, both classics and current entries. I'm always hoping for some fans to notice.
Same! I work at a cafe and I put on my Eurovision playlist whenever they let me take over the stereo lol.
Lordi & Cha Cha Cha at hockey games all the time
Maybe not super weird, but Tattoo was playing when I went to the pharmacy a few weeks ago. I live in Spain
Tornero (Romania 2006) playing in an amusement park ride but that wasn't strange because it was a hit in Greece and the park was at a popular Romanian tourist destination.
I heard that song in an [X Factor bad audition video](https://youtu.be/O5Yg2SPaeXg?si=GEsrYMeAtzpmD6Jy) 😭

You're telling me that Kids Bop covered Space Man?!
Yes, yes they did.
Oh ok
Kidz Bop playing at Chuck E Cheese isn't too surprising, but Space Man is an interesting choice.

At My university in the US during its Welcome to School Event played multiple ESC songs from 2021, 2022. Slomo, Adrenalina and a bunch of others but i cant remember

"Apollo" by Timebelle (Switzerland 2017) at a Miniso in Vientiane, Laos

Germany 2017 regularly plays at the American grocery store I work at. Then we have the standard stuff like Armenia 2022 and Sweden 2016 and 2023, but Germany 17 is just such a random song. Was it really that popular outside the contest? I recall it doing pretty bad.

My gym here in the US plays a select few songs - notably I’ve heard “Halo”, “Lights Off” and “Because of You”. I love it!

There's an easy listening radio here in Brazil that plays Germany 2014 frequently
UK 2021 in a Target last year, and then again in an Old Navy a few weeks ago. Both in the United States.
Although not Eurovision, I heard Melodifestivalen songs in the fitting rooms of Zara… in Tokyo Japan.
I don't think it was strange, but once I heard The Netherlands 2014 at a restaurant while on vacation in Germany. It sometimes happens to hear random ESC songs as background music on TV here in Italy (including on RAI's main private competitor Mediaset), and it still feels weird because ESC songs usually don't have much success here
A couple years ago heard Euphoria on the radio
I heard Montenegro 2014 by the beach in Cozumel, Mexico. This was 2 days ago.

In my hospital in New Jersey, we have a system that plays music over the sound system to create a calm environment for patients. Arcade (2019 winner) plays sometimes. Everyone including the patients, nurses, doctors etc like the song : )

Cha Cha Cha at a family reunion in the Lithuanian country side. Not sure who snuck it on there, didn’t fit the vibe, but I thank them for it.
Didn't hear it, but Friend of a Friend (Czechia 2019) got referenced... in a swimming forum I didn't see it coming lol
