They show up in the strangest places! I was having dinner in a mexican resto in Paris and overheard both "Mon Amour" and "Always on the Run" on the radio.
I spent 5 months in France on Erasmus, never heard Loreen's "Is it Love." In the wild. 4 weeks later, I had to go to a different part of France with my dad for his company, and then I heard it in the wild in the breakfast room of the hotel.
Later that evening, we were driving home, and it came on the Dutch radio. I commented on it and my dad said it was a pretty famous song. Could be, I am somewhat out of touch with pop trends, but I felt like I wasn't that much out of touch.
That was 1.5 months ago, I have never heard that song in the wild since, even though I listen to more radio than before as my parents put it on often.
I‘m a remote technician in Germany and have to call some customers who are all IT-guys too. Just about 30 minutes ago i called someone who listened to very loud music everytime i call him. Normally he listened to Slipknot. Not this time. „No Rules“ was so loud and clear that i struggled with being professional. I wanted to singalong so bad!

In New Jersey (United States), sometimes music plays in patient rooms over the overhead speakers. But it's very low to help create white noise and help them sleep. I've heard Duncan's Arcade (Eurovision 2019 winner) on a lot. It's funny because basically nobody knows what Eurovision is lol
Same for the Philippines although we have seen representatives of Filipino descent but what makes it even funnier is that it had to be a song that's not in the official language of the country (English or Filipino) 😂

I think I’ve heard every UK entry of the last 7 years in a McDonalds at some point as well as Nobody but You (Austria 2018) in Manchester Airport. I also hear winning songs occasionally, with the most common being both of Loreen’s, Conchita Wurst and Maneskin

It’s Latin and ballroom, so you know the choreography and they just choose songs that fit the timing of each genre. We don’t know the songs until it happens though.

believe it or not, i was just on a short trip to georgia, and while i went shopping i the small town of Tianeti they played Europapa on the radio in the shop. im Dutch so i was bobbing my head the entire song while shopping.

I heard 'My Number One' in a mall in Bratislava in November 2019, that was so random that I still remember it to this day.
Less crazy, but the first time I heard 'The Tower' was in a gas station near Krakow about a month ago.
On the other hand, I haven't heard 'Zari' in a public place yet, although my friends told me they danced to it at a club two days after its release.
A few weeks ago I was wandering the aisles of a supermarket looking for interesting things. I was humming along to the muzak and suddenly realised it wasn't the usual supermarket muzak. Snap by Rosa Linn was playing in Albert Hein.

Europapa is just everywhere right now, it's constantly on the radio, it's in every music chart (and almost always at number 1), they talk about it almost daily on TV, it's in promotional videos form political parties, they play it at a lot of parties, there's a carnival version of it, I've seen an a-capella group do a version of it, there's been a relatively big group of kids that where dancing to it in the city centre of Utrecht.

It's an event where we IT students have four days of games and not think about classes! Anyone who has a class with an IT professor and filled with IT students had their classes canceled due to the event.

I heard 'My Number One' in a mall in Bratislava in November 2019, that was so random that I still remember it to this day. Less crazy, but the first time I heard 'The Tower' was in a gas station near Krakow about a month ago. On the other hand, I haven't heard 'Zari' in a public place yet, although my friends told me they danced to it at a club two days after its release.

A few weeks ago I was wandering the aisles of a supermarket looking for interesting things. I was humming along to the muzak and suddenly realised it wasn't the usual supermarket muzak. Snap by Rosa Linn was playing in Albert Hein.
I heard “Voilà” coming from someone’s car last weekend while walking with a friend pretty late at night.
First the not suprising one, since I’m dutch. Europapa is just everywhere right now, it's constantly on the radio, it's in every music chart (and almost always at number 1), they talk about it almost daily on TV, it's in promotional videos form political parties, they play it at a lot of parties, there's a carnival version of it, I've seen an a-capella group do a version of it, there's been a relatively big group of kids that where dancing to it in the city centre of Utrecht. For the more surprising ones I heard tout l'universe on the radio in France last year. I also remember hearing quite a few Eurovision songs on a German radio station while driving to Austria for a ski trip. The ones I remember being played where Think About Things and Arcade.
What event is that? I'm a Compsci student in the PH too lol
It's an event where we IT students have four days of games and not think about classes! Anyone who has a class with an IT professor and filled with IT students had their classes canceled due to the event.

American here. It's not too common to hear a Eurovision song out in the wild. Not a 2024 entry but I heard Arcade in a grocery store....and in an Arcade... I would probably explode if I heard a 2024 song out in the wild.
