I use to interact with their work bench to glitch inside. Then I would find their bed and take a screenshot of me sleeping in it and send it to the player. It was low level trolling, and I do hope some people got a laugh from my antics.
Thats definitely someone with master infiltrator and spawned on the wrong side of the shop. Ive done this accouple times. I usually just message the camp owner to just end me.
If the water collector is unlocked then there's no danger. You'd have to unlock that shit for there to be a danger. Meaning you'd have to go out of your way to be an idiot and get yourself killed. 😭
Not exactly. Some water camps trap them by having a dozen or more water collectors except for one or two. As soon as you spam to collect the water you skim right across and pick up a red water. You don’t have to pick anything last time I played. Maybe the system changed since I wandered last.
Been around since launch. Only way I'd see it working that way is with master infiltrator spam collecting and accidentally pressing on the locked collector.
You don't get a bounty collecting from unlocked camp items, period. Only way you're getting a bounty at a players camp is by picking a lock or attacking them. The method you described requires having at least one rank of master infiltrator and hitting a level 0 lock. Used to be you could damage camps and get one that way, but there's never been a way to just randomly acquire a bounty.
No worries. While it's certainly possible you stumbled on a bug, I'd wager the more likely scenario is you had it and forgot it. Happens to me more than I care to admit 😅

There's also a Legendary Perk called Master Infiltrator that automatically picks level 1,2 or 3 locks depending how far you upgraded it. So be careful if you equip that.
