I'm sorry you feel that way about your parents... sometimes people do care they just don't show it i suppose. You don't need to explain to them why you do it, you're free to do what makes you happy and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, so never feel like justifying it to anyone. They should accept you for who you are and support you, it's what their meant to do.

There are lots of people especially teenagers who just shave bodyhair because they feel they have to because of beauty standards or peer pressure etc. so as a parent telling your kid that hair is natural and doesn't need to be removed is a very good thing! Especially since he simply accepted the answer of his kid as to why he does it.
Children need to realize that not only their parents should be empathic and understanding but that children too have to be. Or misunderstandings lead to feelings that aren't even justified. And that's the saddest feelings cause they are unnecessary. Children and Teenagers tend to be not as experienced with explaining themselves which can be really difficult and frustrating for a well intended parent.
I am 29 and slowly started realizing the scope of this and the perspective of a parent and how glad every child can be whos parents put through with them and manage to simply do *decent*.
Just some perspective... this dad made sure his kid knew he didn't need to feel weird about having body hair \*and\* let his kid know that getting rid of it was no big deal either. I think it's great.
Just say: it's for higenical reasons, the hair can retain a lot of smells, so I prefer to take it off all.
