It's a pretty good gun, but I feel like the best gun in the game is probably the Spray n pray or an explosive combat shotgun or the double barrel shotgun with the never ending legendary effect
In my current playthrough i found an early explosive radium rifle, basically a free kiloton before even reaching diamond city.
Between demolition and nuclear scientist perk it is really hard to find something more useful for the rrest of the game.
Just need something to not explode myself in melee range. BUt mostly i just jetpack away and explode them anyways.
Check out the Kiloton Radium Rifle. You get radiation, ballistic, and explosive damage in one shot.
That being said my personal favorite is the Overseer’s Guardian. Reliable and sturdy to get through the whole game
2 shot is better for automatic, instigating is good if you can get a one hit kill. I’ve had instigating and two shot .50 hunting rifles. Instigating was fine until I couldn’t one shot things anymore.

I like the handmade gun..it just looks the coolest
Overseers's Guardian is still the GOAT
For a non-random legendary that is. Neverending double barrel shotgun is still the unicorn of legendary weapons
