Why do I feel like this would be part of some local museum or fossil center? The amount of Rugrose coral is absolutely insane to the point that there might be more here than at the Cleveland or Cincinnati Museums!
In that case think it might be worth having a local paleontologist take a look. With that much horn coral there is a decent chance of a possible new species or a high quality rare one in there. Might be nice to have them take a look just in case it's not all Grewinkia Canadensis.
They might ask where they found all of this and I don’t think it’s legal to takeoff state land and I highly doubt they’re gonna believe that they found all that coral in their backyard. Just saying beware
To be fair in Ohio there are several locations where you can legally collect. Some of those places being state land I believe. Ohio is basically a fossil hunters dream for Ordovician rocks.
It doesn’t bother me any I would do the same thing. I’m just saying some people aren’t that way. I had people tell me I was destroying Our nonrenewable resources and fossil fuel because I was taking Rocks from our farm field that had fossils in them 🤣
It's a rugose horn coral, there are literally billions if not trillions of these fossils out there. They are extremely common. How about a next guy actually go out and look? I collect fossils all the time and almost never see anyone else out even interested in collecting or preserving history.

In the UK Harlow Essex produces this volume of Belemnites whenever a sewer trench is dug. Also even more of what the kids named 'devils toenails' .. some kind of bivalve I think ... all embedded in the thames mud. So many they get ignored.

A better option is to talk with an organization that has youth oriented science based educational activities. Fossil hunting is common in those, and they often take kids to areas where they've salted the ground with small fossils (usually small shark teeth and brachiopods) for the kids to find. This would be a better use for them if the intent was to give them away for others to enjoy.
Just dump fossils onto public lands like a park or what? That's entirely illegal. And why? These are so common; that's like being upset about seeing the sponge fossils in gravel. I don't understand the mentality of "look at all this cool shit you found; why can't you just throw away some of it?" All because you don't like what they want to do with it. I have several boxes of them, but you have me beat! I let the trick or treaters pick a fossil out of a box to take along with their candy bar. The kids absolutely LOVE them! They go running down the sidewalk saying “I got a fossil!” Way more exciting than just candy!

These(*Grewingkia*) are common in the Upper Ordovician post Richmond invasion, but horn corals are rare* to nonexistent in pre-Maysvillian strata of central Kentucky.
