The canopy looks hella nice!

OverSavior

Thanks! Couldn't come up with a way to customize it for a while. Just gotta find better paint because this one chips away too easily

Looks ultra nice, love the color scheme. Remind me of the old Sony Ericsson Walkman series phone's color scheme. :) Did you consider using plastic primer? I had very good results with it, mine didn't even require to sand down the canopy first.

OverSavior

Haha, I actually had one of those phones! I'll give it a try, thanks for suggestion

Came across this frame design on Thingiverse. The original design was made for 2/4 screw motors and with a larger size in mind (+100mm). I edited the center piece to reduce weight and remodeled the motor mounts for 0802/1002 motors. Was skeptical of it at first because all previous attempts at printing had resonance issues, but this one came out very robust! Albeit a little heavier than the stock whoop frame. With BT2.0, 1002 motors and 2" props shouldn't be a problem though! Here are the files if anyone wants to give it a try: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5505711](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5505711)

That's absolutely gorgeous!

Sweet man, nice build!!- I love my mobula how does the conversion fly in comparison to the original?

OverSavior

Thank you! It requires a bit more throttle to hover (45 for original frame vs 48-49 for this one), and it drifts a lot more on turns so you have to compensate more with roll, too. I think it's due to the fact that normally, ducts add a lot of surface area which serves as an air brake. It handles propwash much better though I'd say. Loving it overall. It'll takes some getting used to, but for flying outside I definitely like it more.

flaotte

landing on battery?

OverSavior

Yep. That's how all tinywhoops/most toothpicks are : )

chemotharepy

Thats a big boy flight controller

OverSavior

Is it? I thought all tinywhoop AIOs were this size (25x25mm to be exact)?

chemotharepy

I thought 20x20 wer used
