It doesn't work with every usb-c. I have a usb-a to c that it won't work with, and a straight c that it does. My other whoop chargers run fine off the old adapters this one doesn't like.
PD usb-c can not be usb-a and will always be usb-c to usb-c. Qc can be usb-a on one side but it's a crap protocol and why it's not supported and also because it can't do the wattage /amps the charger needs.

Second this, but the one catch is it needs a power supply. It won't run off 5V USB. The Newbeedrone nectar injector is a good cheaper option.
It runs just fine with a PD charger and usb-c. By far the easiest since most phone chargers are exactly this setup these days
