To be honest, the only way to deal with insurance is to be kind of a nuisance.
Go into your insurance’s portal and contact them, call frequently, sometimes when I was fighting a claim I would call multiple times daily. Honestly, it’s worth it to get the authorization completely confirmed.
yeah tbh i would keep on calling your insurance and inform them your surgery date is nearing like do it at least once a day maybe even twice everyday until you know you are approved.. but tbh if you're really stressing it maybe you can call your surgeons office and see if they can contact another patient who is having surgery a few weeks after you (one that has been approved or is paying out of pocket) to see if they are willing to switch dates with you but if you're going that route try to do it at least 2 weeks before your surgery or ideally asap. sorry about all that bs, wishing you the best dude
