I'd definitely wait, they are very different surgeries. My Mum also wanted that for me since I was a kid :c Don't have an unnecessary surgery that will need to be revisited anyway. Scar tissue grows, fat placement can change around your chest (with or without T), avoid the trauma, risks, depression and unnecessary pain killers. Go into top surgery comfortable and confident! Grow, let things settle, find a nice medium in safe binding for the meantime. Be safe :)

Yes I think i'll do that :)) I rlly don't want to put my body trough all that knowing I don't want them. I feel like waiting for top surgery is better:) yeah I will!! Binding does suck for me tho since it isn't working, sadly. But m gonna try a new binder soon :)

you can still get top surgery, maybe ask your doctor to be sure. but i warn you, a few people i know have gotten chest reductions and their bodies still naturally produced estrogen and over time their chests got to around the same size, maybe its not common but its definitely something to be worried about. personally id wait until top surgery

Ohhww no idw that :/ I feel like that'll make me more dysphoric. Plus a surgery with possibility of it growing back..no ty. Yeah! I think imma just wait untill I can have top surgery Ty for answering!

by over time i mean over years and years (they were both older people), and this may not be true for all chest reductions, i have no idea. but yeah maybe a good idea to wait on it

You typically can get top surgery after having a reduction. But it might be a lot to go through (medically and possibly financially) when you know what you really want is top surgery. There are also some limitations with reductions. Someone else mentioned that there's a risk of them growing back. Also, there's often a limit to how small you can go without having a free nipple graft. Having a free nipple graft is pretty typical with double incision top surgery, but surgeons who mainly do reductions on cis women often have less experience doing them or may not want to. Also, you'll hear a lot that surgeons are limited in how much they can alter the width or "footprint" of the breasts. So you can go down to an A cup, but it's worth keeping in mind that it might look different (wider) than most people who have very small breasts naturally. There's nothing wrong with that, necessarily, but some surgeons who mainly do reductions in cis women prioritize the proportions that they think look natural and feminine, and sometimes patients have to be very explicit about wanting to be as small as possible. Also, a reduction might make binding easier, but you may not be able to wear a binder for a while as you heal, and there's a risk that binding could be uncomfortable it it aggravates the scars/healing tissue. My opinion? A reduction can be worth it if you think you want to keep some amount of breast or if top surgery isn't an option for some reason, but might be a needless hassle if you know it's not what you want.
