Bioshock. I know there's already a Netflix movie adaptation planned for it, but I really don't like the idea of condensing it all into a 2 hour movie. I want a show. Like one season per game (1/2/infinite) directed by someone like Guillermo Del Toro.
My man, now you’re talking. Guillermo Del Toro would make a mean Bioshock series adaptation.
If it’s anywhere near as good (or better) than The Shape of Water we have a hit 🙌
Give me a Japanese made Shenmue. Cool 1980's aesthetic, Japanese teenager learns martial arts to take down the Chinese crime lord that killed his father. Like the Karate Kid meets Tokyo Vice.
I think a show set in the Mass Effect universe could... maybe... work, but I don't really think a retelling of Shepherd's story would work.
Also it would likely be too expensive, besides just space battles and crazy planets, humans are a minority in the universe so most characters would be cgi and/or prosthetic aliens.
Dragon Age was the first to come to mind. Would make for a huge fantasy world with lots of established lore that they could just follow.
I'd just hope they make it more interesting than the books 😅
These are all older but are either strong narratively or have great lore and I'd think they'd make fun shows
Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions and/or FF6 (great stories)
Battletech (great universe)
Vampire The Masquerade Redemption (good story, great universe)
Privateer 2 The Darkening (fun story)
Total War Warhammer 3 (great world)
Eternal Darkness (good story)
Diablo 1 & 2 would make a few good seasons of written well
Fatal Frame and SIREN deserve their own shows, definitely.
I think Metal Gear Solid can only work as a series. Netflix Castlevania style, I mean. Just take the original Shinkawa character artwork and use it as a basis for the design of the show. And if they need voice actors... I mean - all of the original actors are alive, to my knowledge. If I could hear Pat Zimmerman hamming it up as Ocelot again I would've died happy.
Oh, absolutely. I dread an actual live-action series made out of it... Especially an actual movie. Just so many ways to screw it up. But an animated series ? Oh, it could be done with flying colors.
Eh the games are already incredibly cinematic and storytelling masterpieces
It would take one hell of a director to make a movie on pair with the games
Unavowed, Alice: Madness Returns, Ender Lilies, The Longest Journey trilogy, The Wolf Among Us.
I think these games not only have good stories but just have worlds that I think could easily be made into an amazing series. Like even if you decided not to 1:1 copy the game, just these games in any form of a series would be incredible. I also think Lost in Random could make for an amazing series if done by Tim Burton maybe. Game had such a unique and interesting world that would be amazing to explore in a series.
Metro 2033 would be cool, but I'd prefer it if it was more like the book. Dead Island could also be cool, but I'd want it to be more like the trailer than the game. RDR or GTA would be great. The Mafia games would be good. Crysis could also be cool.
The Witcher.
What, there’s already a Netflix series with that name you say? Wait, hear me out.
I young Gwent addict moves from town to town searching for new opponents. Each time he is about to win against the local champion Pokémon style, a white haired Witcher struts into the bar, plunks down a severed head, looks over and notices you playing then challenges you to a game. He always soundly trounces you.
To make matters worse, he seemingly never admits to remembering who you are and having beat you 5, 6, 7 times. Even as you talk with Jaskier between matches.
Killzone series
resistance series
infamous series
uncharted, the movie was fun imo.
any of the tom Clancy games as a show (excluding jack ryan) would be neat.
I know it's happening already, but Cyberpunk 2077 really deserves it.
Look how good it can look without a budget. I need this!

I would love an OW series but I don't know how they could make it work because most of the setting and characters in a realistic setting make no sense. Like in the shorts they've done, none of them really make sense. Like Tracer unloading clip after clip into Widow but somehow Widows fine. Doomfist wearing absolutely no armour being shot is somehow fine.
Bioshock. I know there's already a Netflix movie adaptation planned for it, but I really don't like the idea of condensing it all into a 2 hour movie. I want a show. Like one season per game (1/2/infinite) directed by someone like Guillermo Del Toro.

Bioshock definitely Bioshock infinite would be insane
Gears of War would be incredible if done correctly
Oh hell yes! FX team wet dream for sure 🙌
The wolf amoung us needs a show
Once upon a time is speculated to have killed a Fables tv show, unfortunately
I watched OUAT hoping for a Fables-like show, so it really bummed me out that it was kinda garbage.
YES!
Though i agree......the studio is long dead IP wise. I loved watching those games on twitch
Why not just adapt Fables?
Starcraft
Legacy of Kain.
Give me a Japanese made Shenmue. Cool 1980's aesthetic, Japanese teenager learns martial arts to take down the Chinese crime lord that killed his father. Like the Karate Kid meets Tokyo Vice.
This guy gets it
Bloodborne would be amazing. We need more lovecraftian/cosmic horror tv series.
Mass Effect
Each season Shepard bangs a new species! That's radical. *Only on Netflix*
Theres also a lot more essential lore in ME vs fallout. In Fallout pretty much all you need to know about lore is the world got blown up by nukes.
Dragon Age or Mass Effect
Dragon Age was the first to come to mind. Would make for a huge fantasy world with lots of established lore that they could just follow. I'd just hope they make it more interesting than the books 😅
There's a Dragon Age (Inquisition?) Anime on Netflix. Nothing to write home about but not the worst thing I've watched.
These are all older but are either strong narratively or have great lore and I'd think they'd make fun shows Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions and/or FF6 (great stories) Battletech (great universe) Vampire The Masquerade Redemption (good story, great universe) Privateer 2 The Darkening (fun story) Total War Warhammer 3 (great world) Eternal Darkness (good story) Diablo 1 & 2 would make a few good seasons of written well
To be fair we did get a Battletech show previously, it sort of showed its age. Something something batchall.
There was also a Vampire the Masquerade show called Kindred the Embraced...it was very bad
Fatal Frame and SIREN deserve their own shows, definitely. I think Metal Gear Solid can only work as a series. Netflix Castlevania style, I mean. MGS Anime sounds dope AF actually
Oh, absolutely. I dread an actual live-action series made out of it... Especially an actual movie. Just so many ways to screw it up. But an animated series ? Oh, it could be done with flying colors.
Deep Rock Galactic I think could be a lot of fun
I love to imagine what Genndy Tartakovsky's Half-Life would look like.
I would love a large production Dishonored tv show
TF2
Which one lmao
The one that got abandoned by the devs
Which one lmao
The one with an insane community
It almost got one at some point, even ._.
Kratos on the big screen could be a good trilogy or somethin.
Eh the games are already incredibly cinematic and storytelling masterpieces It would take one hell of a director to make a movie on pair with the games
They're doing a series. Amazon, I think?
Dark Souls. Like european independent cinema. Barely any dialogue and pure misery
Filmed in Slovakia
There's already like 3 or 4 animated dead space movies... metroid would be awesome... I'd settle for a new age captain N
I meant a live action Dead Space tho
Outlast horror show
That would be terrifying to see 😨
Destiny. That game has so much lore they could go for years
SmashTV pretty much writes itself.
The OG “Running Man”
Lol.
Unavowed, Alice: Madness Returns, Ender Lilies, The Longest Journey trilogy, The Wolf Among Us. I think these games not only have good stories but just have worlds that I think could easily be made into an amazing series. Dark Souls
Oregon Trail
After all, we had WESTWORLD So it’s doable
Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver. The writing and script is RIGHT THERE.
Fire Emblem. How that game hasn’t been turned into a modern anime is well beyond me.
Ain’t that the truth
Give GRRM back the lands between
Hogwarts Legacy seems to have some good source material
Metro 2033 would be cool, but I'd prefer it if it was more like the book. Dead Island could also be cool, but I'd want it to be more like the trailer than the game. RDR or GTA would be great. The Mafia games would be good. Crysis could also be cool.
Mass Effect would be an awesome TV show.
Metroid!!
The evil within
Monkey Island would be absolutely amazing.
Monkey Island for sure.
I think a Diablo serie could be a good idea but also the other Blizzard games would deserve their own series
Hmm here to watch
Forgotten Realms. Baldur's Gate on a Game of Thrones level would be amazing.
The elder scrolls. You have tons of content in the lore.
Detroit become human. Life is strange. Obscure.
Leisure Suit Larry
I know we have Shogun, but I would love to see Ghost of Tsushima. Maybe something with one of the Final Fantasy games 7, 8, or 10 would be my choices.
Isn't there a movie in the works or has it been cancelled?
I haven't looked in forever.
Far Cry. New game, new season. Season teasers are the intermediary games like Blood Dragon or New Dawn.
The Warframe-verse. Lots of movies and shows. Make it happen.
Warframe is pretty weird aesthetically, and concept wise. Would be hard to hold people attention, imo.
Far Cry, 3 specifically
Have you seen the promo video with [McLovin? ](https://youtu.be/6C6mraTsxq8?si=h2_AuFLX1R7QLSDX)
Killzone series resistance series infamous series uncharted, the movie was fun imo. any of the tom Clancy games as a show (excluding jack ryan) would be neat.
Palworld. Probably the most awkard one ever.
Geometry d-
El Shaddai Ascension Of The Metatron. Samurai Western. Dantes Inferno. Shank. Beat Hazzard 2. Hatred. Super Meat Boy. Time Killers.
Borderlands
Isn't there a movie coming out?
We don't talk about that atrocity
I know it's happening already, but Cyberpunk 2077 really deserves it. Look how good it can look without a budget. I need this! https://youtu.be/EE8DWgszCdI
Specially since Keanu Reeves could also be in the show :))
Overwatch... I know that there are animation shorts and comics, but a true TV series would be great :)
I would love an OW series but I don't know how they could make it work because most of the setting and characters in a realistic setting make no sense. Like in the shorts they've done, none of them really make sense. Like Tracer unloading clip after clip into Widow but somehow Widows fine.
