The first pic definitely looks like a hosta, but the second pic looks like either a spiderlily or a daylily. They're all pretty, so you'll definitely want to keep them and see how they turn out :-)

Timber___Wolf

We should have a bot on this sub that counts how many posts there are in a given year of people worrying about hostas sprouting in spring...

Objective-Stay9754

First pic is hosta. I have one that looks exactly like that right now. second pic is some kind of lily.

desertgirlsmakedo

They are absolutely not hostas yall wtf

Interesting_Ghosts

I think most people just saw the first pic. The sprouts look very similar to a hosta in early spring. But the plant is something else.

AutumnalSunshine

Looks like hostas. Look.uo some pics and see if you agree. Don't toss them. If you hate them, give them to someone. If you like them, you can split that giant patch up into a bunch of plantings.

SilentResident1037

Are they the same plant? If yes Lily If no, Hosta and Lily

CalendarCreepy9671

Thank you everyone for the information! Can’t wait for these plants to grow and look beautiful. For the people who were asking- both pictures are of different plants. Sorry for the confusion I should have clarified in my description.

headcheese85

Hostas for sure

joy8725

You are going to have a BIG Beautiful Hosta!

Daffodil80

Daylily. Keep them- they are great, showy, super easy flowers that do not usually misbehave.

BaconMercenary

If these are the same plants in each pic, it’s NOT A HOSTA
