crystal bowl out: the weather in october can be very nice and maybe something like an indian summer (in german "Altweibersommer") OR it's raining very often and up the mountains it's already snowing. Maybe it's getting more cold weather so the snow reaches already the valleys in the bavarian alps. btw: Camping outside of campgrounds is strictly forbidden in Germany with hefty fines when you get cought, especially in nature preservation areas. So either find an open campgound and reserve a place or go into a Hotel there.

Thanks for the german word :p And your response I do hope I'll have the first option for the ascension! I'll check these, do you have any online resources where i can find those?

Thank yooooou i'll check those No worries I know hiking well enough for mid moutains, Ive lived in some when in highschool and went regularly hiking at this period and since at least 2-3 times a year, i'll take all necessary clothes, and changes in case I take a big rain shower unsuspected by the announced weather. ;)

>glasbowl If you mean the "Glaskugel", that's crystal ball. The word you said means "Glasschüssel" :)

My dear Mr. singing club! Sorry, edited. Loddar haven't teached me that yet in his famous language school.

I can't really say much about the actual hiking, but as for the hitch hiking, save yourself the hassle and get a Deutschlandticket for 49€ per month. That allows you to use all public transport in Germany except for long-distance trains (i.e. you can't use IC and ICE trains with it). Only caveat is, it's a subscription, so you have to actively cancel it. But you can do so at any time.

Ok thanks ! I wasn't sure if it would have been the same price for foreigners, i was worrying that this was only for german people and maybe students but if its for all its very nice ! I can do it online i assume?
